Abstract

The metal wood profile frame for a conservatory uses a metal-wood profile for connecting two adjacent glass panes in parallel planes. The frame has the supporting profiles, such as the base rails (1), the posts (2) and the cross bars (3) made of metal, with the post inner sides floating. The metal profiles have exchangeable wood inlays (2.2) and all cross bar profiles have an inner wood covering.

Description

The invention relates to the support structure for conservatories or the like, essentially the frame profiles used for this purpose, so the posts and bars, which in turn serve to fasten the glass structure of such buildings. Their application is particularly useful when it comes to combining excellent mechanical characteristics and excellent thermal insulation with the special appeal of a natural, environmentally friendly building material that also creates a friendly and homely ambience in the interior.

The support profiles of a conservatory not only determine the geometry and aesthetics of the glass construction and set accents in color, but must also demonstrate high stability and avoid undesirable thermal bridges. From this point of view, many materials and profile systems can be used today, and those of steel, aluminum, plastic, wood and mixed forms of wood and steel, and wood and aluminum are known.

Steel, a cost-effective material that allows on the one hand a particularly filigree glass architecture and on the other hand especially the installation of large glass windows due to its excellent load-bearing, is relatively little and in residential living gardens in recent years practically no longer used. The reason for this is that the metal has no insulating properties and as a result, precipitates on the often cold profiles condensation. This can sustainably only thermally separated profiles, in which usually two hollow chamber profile halves are separated by an internal insulating layer, reduce, but then more extensive and consequently disproportionately heavy in this material. In addition, adversely the necessary costly measures to protect against corrosion, such as hot-dip galvanizing, electroplating or rust-protective paint, but which do not prevent by cutting and drilling still possible oxidation sites arise at which later settles rust.

Aluminum, which is not very environmentally friendly and expensive to produce, is easy to clean, corrosion-resistant and, with a similar load-bearing capacity to steel, comparatively light. It is thus easier to obtain sophisticated profiles with thermal separation, which are required here as well as steel. This is particularly advantageous if the highest demands are placed on the thermal separation and consequently on the insulator introduced into the profiles (compare P 101 50 644.9). Furthermore, aluminum has proven itself above all outdoors, since it oxidizes on the surface under the influence of oxygen and thus forms a protective layer against the effects of weathering. The stability of the overall construction is therefore never affected without special maintenance. Anodising or the most preferred stoving in all RAL colors, special colors and wood decor improve the optical quality of the profile surface in the long term.

The hitherto encountered plastic profiles are only suitable for smaller glass buildings, as they allow only limited heights and spans due to their relatively low strength. The therefore and due to the significant expansion of the material at higher temperatures usually introduced into the profiles steel reinforcements do not eliminate this disadvantage compared to the other known profile materials, but they affect the originally good thermal insulation. The or the other advantages of the plastic profiles, namely favorable price, moisture and UV resistance, are thus not relevant. The expansion of the plastic profiles in the heat ultimately has the consequence that you are outdoors only in white color can be used.

Wood with the comparatively best thermal insulation has long been used as material for conservatories; in conservatories with small spans in the form of core-free solid woods, otherwise come multi-ply wood for use. But even with the latter, the profiles - and thus the viewing surfaces - must be relatively thick so that they can carry the heavy insulating glass. The material wood is characterized by naturalness, lively structuring and a comfortable aura, but at the same time is claimed by all the above-mentioned materials most of all by weathering, especially by UV radiation and long-lasting moisture. Elaborate countermeasures such as colored outer coatings against UV radiation and chemical wood preservation, Kessel pressure impregnation or foil or other cover against moisture are necessary, but often offer especially in the outer area only a relatively limited temporary protection. Furthermore, there are a variety of efforts from the outset by the structural design of the wood conservatory a safe To prevent the discharge of rainwater and to prevent rainwater damage, especially in the area of the lower horizontal frame profiles (see eg DE 197 37 265 C2 ). But even stagnant water, splash water and rising from the soil moisture under certain circumstances endanger the stability of the entire construction.

For some time, proposals for wood-metal systems, especially for wood and aluminum, have been developed under these aspects. So z. B. such a combination of materials for the sloping roof area, which is most exposed to UV radiation and rain, used. According to the proposal, the supporting structure is made of multi-ply wood protected in the interior, whereas outside - after the glass panes were mounted with special brackets and seals on the outside of the support structure - weather-resistant cover shells made of aluminum, which seal the system have been clipped. Analogous developments exist for the vertical area, namely for the weather side; Furthermore, roof area seals of the type are known that a base profile made of aluminum is attached to the beams and rafters, which also serves as a support for the glass panes (Fachverband Holzwintergartenbau eV). The described and other wood-aluminum systems (cf. DE 100 36 770 A1 ) are so structured that without exception the wood takes over the static supporting functions and at the same time guarantees the thermal insulation, whereas outside the wooden construction is protected by the aluminum profiles against the weather. Although, as the above material comparison shows, wood and aluminum are currently the most aesthetically pleasing or technically most suitable materials for conservatories and similar light-flooded buildings, the known wood-aluminum profile systems have a number of disadvantages. These include in addition to the large widths of the viewing areas of the profiles due to the fulfillment of static requirements and the fact that the wood heat and moisture-dependent more or less works, ostensibly that the technology to be installed in modern residential conservatories requires multi-functional profiles that in wood only can be produced very elaborate functional.

A discloses a metal-timber profile system having the features of the preamble of claim 1.

The object of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of the prior art. It should be specified in particular a profile system of the components wood and metal that it allows increased aesthetic, technical and functional requirements to comply with the construction of conservatories; At the same time, it should be possible to adapt the type of wood used without further individual wishes.

Zweckmäßige Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung ergeben sich aus den Merkmalen der Ansprüche 2 - 4.This object is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the features of claims 2-4.

According to the invention, a metal-wood profile system is provided in which the supporting profiles made of metal, preferably made of aluminum; The structures used for this purpose basically correspond to those known from aluminum conservatory construction. These aluminum profiles (base rail, posts, bars) bear on the inside, that is, the use of space of a light-flooded structure such as a winter garden facing side, according to the invention interchangeable wood inlays, cover shells and wood panels that cover the aluminum profiles largely or entirely. The wood used in this way has the visual and constructive character of solid wood and radiates the desired naturalness and comfort. In addition, the inventive combination of wood and aluminum ensures a consistently excellent load-bearing strength of the frame construction and eliminates the otherwise required high costs for wood preservation.

In the post, the ceiling of the wood is chosen so that it can be inserted at the same level as inlay in the profiles; The floating storage allows an unobstructed expansion due to temperature and humidity increase. Preferably, a post-view width of 50 mm is maintained in the system; If larger profile thicknesses are required by design, the tread depth and thus the width of the wood inlays, which can be easily varied as a result of the simple interchangeability in the wood / wood grain, is increased accordingly.

The aluminum posts are also known in principle for a multi-function protection for components of a sunshade and lighting, for static suspension profiles; Channels for heating on electric and hot water basis and water-based cooling, as well as channels for cable routing and screw covers designed, which is known for supporting wooden profiles in this circumference and necessary Geometric accuracy according to the requirements is very difficult or not at all realized.

In the field of metal (aluminum) -bar system according to the invention is characterized in that here the wood profiles are pushed laterally or from behind on the bars with preferred T-profiling and this - with the exception of the outer head part, in which a standard disc bearing and - drainage completely cover. This concerns the bars of the frame construction and the bars in the roof, the so-called purlins. The positive attachment of the wooden shells, which have corresponding milling, ensure that they are stored safe and also floating without additional fasteners. The depths of the individual bars / purlins are freely selectable by geometrically different wooden extensions; It is analogous to the wood species, so that there are a variety of possible variations, especially under aesthetic aspects.

The design of the metal-wood combination in the foot bolt of a conservatory or the like also follows the inventive teaching, but has the special expression that here the wood applications as a wood support, the form-fitting, preferably fixed via a groove, and as a cover shell , which is attached from behind in the manner already described, is executed.

Thus, in the metal-wood system according to the invention, the wood has no relation to the outer shell in all areas of such a construction executed; it is without exception in the interior, which - in addition to the advantages described above - is a decisive advantage compared to the prior art. It is also essential that the drainage levels in the interior due to the mullion and transom profiles do not touch.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment. Fig. 1 shows the application of the profile system according to the invention in the Wohnwintergartenbau based on a three-dimensional sectional view. The marked details A (foot), B (pillar, large), C (pillar, small) and D (latch) are also in section in the Fig. 2 . 3 . 4 and 5 shown; Fig. 6 discloses in the same representation the eaves.

From Figure 1, the arrangement of the base rail 1, the large and small posts 2 and the latch 3 is visible to each other; each designed as a supporting aluminum profile (see 1.1, 2.1 and 3.1). In addition, the described installation or attachment of the post-wood inlay 2.2 and the bolt wood trim 3.2 are shown. Furthermore, for the purpose of clarification of the classification of the invention in the overall construction of a winter garden, the non-essential to the invention individual components insulating glass pane 6 and the sill 8 are given.

Figure 2 shows in a more detailed illustration especially the foot bolt 3.5 with the wood support 1.2, the position of which is fixed by the groove 1.3, and the wood cover shell 1.4; Furthermore, their relation to the base rail profile 1.1 and the plastic profile 7 is highlighted.

The details aluminum post profile 2.1, post wood inlay 2.2 and post cover shell 2.3 and their relation to the insulating glass pane 6 can be seen with reference to the large post 2 from Figure 3; analog from picture 4 for the small post 2.

For the bolt 3, the details bolt profile 3.1, bolt cover shell 3.3 and bolt wood trim 3.2 and their relation to the insulator 4, the glass overlay rubbers 5 and the insulating glass pane 6 in Figure 5 are shown.

From Figure 6, the design of the bar in the eaves 3.4 and the purlins 3.6 and their relation to the insulating glass pane 6, the insulating panel 9 and the gutter 10 can be seen. In particular, it can be seen that both the bars 3.4 and the bars (purlins) 3.6 of the invention are completely enclosed (except for the outer head part) of the bolt wood trim 3.2.
