Claims (23)

  1. A clamping device for clamping a flexible cover (2, 3) of a cylinder (1) of a printing press, which comprises an axial channel (6) on a surface area, said clamping device comprising:
    a) a clamping body (10), a first counter area (4) of which forms a clamping gap in the channel (6) for at least one end of the cover (2, 3) which protrudes through an opening (7) in the channel (6);
    b) two channel walls facing the first counter area (4), one of which forms a second counter area (5) and the other of which forms a third counter area (9), and on which the clamping body (10) is supported by contact;
    c) wherein the clamping body (10) is elastic in its material, and an elasticity force of the clamping body (10) tenses the clamping body (10) and the first counter area (4) towards each other, in order to clamp the at least one end of the cover (2, 3) when the cover (2, 3) is drawn in;
    characterised in that
    d) the clamping body (10) is a composite body comprising a core (10i) made of a core material, and a coating (10a) which is connected to the core (10i) and made of an elastically flexible coating material which has a lower specific weight than the core material and can be spring-deflected by the thickness of the at least one end of the cover (2, 3).
  2. The clamping device according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the coating (10a) envelops the core (10i).
  3. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the coating material has a Shore hardness of 70 Shores.
  4. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the counter areas (4, 5, 9) are formed on the cylinder (1) or on a filling piece (8) which is connected to the cylinder (1) such that it cannot be moved relative to the cylinder (1).

The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the opening (7) in the channel (6) is delimited in the circumferential direction of the cylinder (1) by two delimiting edges (1v, 8n), in that the channel (6) widens in both circumferential directions of the cylinder (1) from the delimiting edges (1v, 8n), and in that a channel wall extending as far as one of the delimiting edges (1v, 8n) forms the first counter area (4) and a channel wall extending as far as the other of the delimiting edges (1v, 8n) forms the second counter area (5), such that the at least one end of the cover (2, 3) can be clamped between the clamping body (10) and either the first counter area (4) or the second counter area (5), depending on the rotational direction (D) of the cylinder (1).
  9. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the first counter area (4) points at an angle of at least 30° to a radial (R) extending through the channel opening (7) onto the rotational axis of the cylinder (1).
  10. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the second counter area (5) points at an angle of at least 30° to a radial (R) extending through the channel opening (7) onto the rotational axis of the cylinder (1).
  11. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that one (9) of the counter areas (4, 5, 9) forms a guide rail along which the clamping body (25) can be rolled and/or slid, transverse to the rotational axis of the cylinder (1).
  12. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that, at least when unbiased, the clamping body (10) exhibits a round surface with which it forms the clamping gap.
  13. The clamping device according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the round surface exhibits a curvature radius greater than 7 mm, preferably greater than 10 mm.
  14. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the clamping body (10) can be rotated in the channel (6), maintaining the clamping gap.
  15. The clamping device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that multiple covers (2, 3) are tensed on the cylinder (1), axially next to each other, and no more than one clamping body (10) is provided per cover.
