Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The invention relates to the field of snow sliding sports, and more specifically that of surfing or snowboarding. It relates more specifically to a new surf binding structure, which has advantageous capabilities in terms of adjusting the configuration of the contact surface between the user's shoe and the base of the binding.

In general, the surf bindings intended to receive shoes called "soft" have a base which is secured to the board, and to which are connected the other fasteners such as the rear gutter or tightening straps.

To allow adjustment and orientation of the attachment relative to the board, the base is frequently mounted on the board via a setting disc, located in the central portion of the base, and allowing several positions pivoting the base relative to the board. Due to the relative mechanical complexity of this adjustment disk, the need is felt to protect the latter vis-à-vis the snow intrusions and possible shocks following the donning maneuvers.

Furthermore, the shoes used with this type of fasteners generally have a sole whose lower surface is curved, to facilitate the movement of the step when the binding is removed to compensate for the curvature of the front and / or rear ends of the shoe, and fill the gap between them and the base. It is therefore known to equip the attachment of elements called "gas pedal" forming ramps more or less inclined at the front and rear end of the board.

Thanks to these "gas pedal", the supports exerted by the user are effectively transmitted, despite the fact that the shoe does not have a flat sole. The need is also felt to adapt the position of the "gas pedal" depending on the configuration of the shoe, including its size.

To date, the elements forming the "gas pedal" can be adjustable relative to the base, through screw mechanisms (or equivalent) within longitudinal lumens. In the case where the attachment has two adjustable elements, front and rear, it is conceivable that the independent settings of each of the elements can cause a bad positioning of the shoe relative to the binding.

The invention aims to solve the various problems mentioned above.

Exposé de l'inventionPresentation of the invention

Thus, the invention relates to a snowboard binding, which comprises a base arranged to receive the sole of the shoe of the user and a fastening element to the board, the adjustment disk type, located in the central part of the body. 'base.

The problem is solved as indicated in the characterizing part of claim 1.

In other words, the aim of the invention is to make the position of the two parts forming the upper surface of the base adjustable, so that a single and common blocking makes it possible to lock the position thereof, thus limiting the number of operations performed. when adjusting the attachment.

In this way, the overlap of the two plates additionally provides the protection of the adjustment disk with respect to the risk of external blows.

Advantageously in practice, each of these plates may have an end which is raised to play the role of "gas pedal". In this way, when the attachment has two zones raised at the front and rear, the adjustment can be done by keeping the midpoint of shoe substantially constant.

Advantageously in practice, a fraction of the upper surface of the plates, in particular its raised end, may be covered with a layer of elastomeric material, intended on the one hand to increase the coefficient of friction of the boot relative to the binding, and on the other hand, to ensure a certain absorption of the vibrations because of its compressibility. A similar effect can be obtained when a fraction of the upper surface of the plates has transverse grooves, acting as notches, thus preventing the foot from unexpectedly coming out of the binding when donning.

Advantageously in practice, the overlapping portions of the two plates can partially interpenetrate, to provide longitudinal guidance during their respective movements. In other words, the shape of the plates is such that the facing surfaces form sliding rails which prevent any displacement of the plates outside the longitudinal direction.

In addition, the underside of at least one plate may comprise mechanical means, and for example lugs cooperating with complementary members of the base to provide longitudinal guiding of the displacement of the plate.

In practice, the locking can be performed at a plurality of aligned holes, made on the overlapping portions of the plates.

The manner of carrying out the invention, as well as the advantages which result therefrom, will emerge from the description of the embodiments which follow, in support of the appended figures in which:
  • Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of the base of a fastener made according to the invention shown partially.
  • Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the attachment of Figure 1.

Manière de réaliser l'inventionWay of realizing the invention

The attachment (1) which is illustrated in Figure 1 is shown only partially, focusing on the main aspects of the invention, that is to say the elements of the base of the binding. The base (2) therefore consists of a lower part (3) intended to come into contact with the upper face of the board. The lower face (4) is the lower part of the base (3) and is therefore substantially flat.

In the form shown, the lower part (3) of the base comprises a central recess for receiving a mounting disc (5), shown schematically secured to the board, and arranged to allow the pivoting of the base.

The upper part of the binding, that is to say the arch supporting the rear gutter and the different clamping straps have not been shown.

According to the invention, the upper part of the base (2) comprises two plates (10, 11) which form the upper face of the base (2) on which rest the lower face of the sole of the user.

More specifically, and as shown in Figure 1, the front plate (10) has a front end (12) which is raised, so as to receive the support of the front end of the shoe. This raised portion (12) may comprise an attached upper layer (15) made of an elastomeric material. She comprises a number of notches (13) made transversely, and which can adopt multiple forms, for example adapted to footprints specific. These notches (13) are oriented so as to limit the risk of seeing the shoe move forward during the boot.

In its rear portion (14), the front plate (10) has a smaller thickness, which allows it to receive the front portion (16) of the rear plate (11) without forming excess thickness. A height recess (17) separates the front (12) and rear (14) of the plate (10).

In the central portion, the rear portion (14) of the front plate (10) has a groove (18) oriented substantially longitudinally. This groove (18) is equipped with a plurality of through holes (19). This groove (18) is intended to accommodate a boss (20) formed under the underside of the front portion (16) of the rear plate (11). This boss (20) has dimensions substantially identical to those of the groove (18) to ensure interpenetration of the two plates (10, 11), and their longitudinal guide.

Notches (not shown) may also be provided on the back plate, in its front portion (16), and / or in the raised area. A zone of elastomeric material (24) can be arranged at this raised area, in a housing provided for this purpose.

A plurality of bores (23) are also provided at the middle region of the plate (11), with the same spacing as the bores (19) residing in the front plate (10). A locking element, which is illustrated in Figure 1 by a screw (25), can pass through the bores (23, 19) of the two plates (11, 12) to be housed in the pivoting adjusting disc (5) .

Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, but covers multiple variants concerning the geometry of the characteristic plates.

In a complementary manner, the longitudinal adjustment of the plates (10, 11) can be ensured by sliding elements (28, 29) forming cleats, or bent lugs under the underside of each of the plates. These cleats can slide in slots (30-33) made on the upper face of the lower part (3) of the base (2). These slots (30-33) may have an end (34) offset to allow insertion of the lugs during the initial mounting of the fastener.

It goes without saying that the shapes of the plates (40,41) may be different from those illustrated in a simplified manner in order to understand the operation of the invention. Thus, the front and / or rear plates may have overlapping areas.

It follows from the foregoing that the attachment according to the invention has multiple advantages and in particular that of allowing the simultaneous and concomitant adjustment of the two plates forming the upper face of the base. In addition, the two plates overlapping at the central portion of the binding, they protect the rental disc by concealing it.
