Definitions
- the present invention relates to an automatic stop device for gearmotors electric with two directions of rotation which develop torque essentially in a direction of rotation, not defined in advance, of such geared motors being designed to be housed in tubes more particularly intended for winding roller shutters or blinds.
- the stop device of these engines is based on a displacement of the motor housing which causes the deformation of elastic elements.
- an opening limit switch device associated with this stop device, which is housed in a drum which blocks the rotation of the shutter winding tube when the latter has completed its opening stroke.
- This drum has the drawback, however, of forming an assembly with the body of the gearmotor which cannot be accommodated in the short winding tubes.
- the invention solves this difficulty with a stop device fully integrated into the gearmotor and having a faster adjustment mode. In addition, it no longer uses, for its normal operation, the need to assess the torque by elastic elements which remain in flexion after stopping.
- the device according to the invention assumes that the winding tube rests, on the side opposite the motor, on a tip capable of sliding on an axis away from the support.
- Her main characteristic is, on the one hand, that the cessation of each of the senses of rotation of the motor is controlled by at least one mechanism whose action proceeds from either of the following operating modes, a repetition-based mode analog of the rotary stroke of the winding tube and a mode based on a displacement of the motor housing in response to a torque, on the other hand, in that stopping the rotation inducing the rise of the movable element is, to say the least, controlled by a mechanism proceeding from the mode based on the analog repetition of the stroke, which constitutes the normal control means, and the stopping of the rotation inducing the descent, exclusively controlled by a mechanism proceeding from the mode based on displacement of the motor housing
- FIG. 1 in which there is the winding tube (1) in which is housed the tubular casing (2) of the motor (3).
- This casing incorporates the whole of the stop device which is the subject of the invention and is held longitudinally in the winding tube (1) by the wheel, not shown, forming the slow speed output of the reducer.
- the opposite end of the casing, the section of which can be seen, is flush with the mouth of the winding tube (1). It is obstructed by a nozzle (4) and a sleeve (5) rotated by the winding tube serves as a centering pad allowing the sliding of one tube (1) on the other (2).
- a first switch control mechanism constituted by the analog rotary stroke repeater.
- This comprises a screw (6), the end of which has a pinion (7) which emerges from the casing (2) and meshes with an internal toothed crown (8) formed in the extension of the sleeve (5) which projects beyond the casing ( 2).
- the meshing of the teeth is not firm in order to authorize a skid.
- the pinion (7) can move away from the crown (8), in a centripetal movement to it, because the body of the screw (6) has, on this side, only one spring (9 ) for support.
- the skid will be obtained from an appropriate effort and the teeth will have a rounded head, creating a compromise between the ratchet effect and the resulting effect.
- the pinion (7) extends beyond the sleeve (5) to offer a manual adjustment wheel allowing to resume or refine the adjustment which will be described below.
- the threaded part of the screw is bounded by keys (10) between which the sliding nut (11) is caused to move. This nut should meet only one key in its travel, this threaded part will be long enough to meet all winding needs.
- Part of the nut (11) is wedged between the screw (6) and the wall of the casing (2) which it marries on an arc of a circle large enough not to turn.
- the faces of the nut have notches (12) in which the keys (10) fit in to block the rotation of the screw at the end of the stroke, which makes it possible to obtain a frank stop of its rotation, without creating any Tightening.
- This nut (11) has pierced ears (13) through which slide rods (14) connected to a bowl (15) which covers the pusher (16) actuating the switch (17) assigned to stop the rotation uphill.
- the connecting rods (14) have stops (18) which move the bowl (15) in one direction or the other, when the nut approaches one or the other of the keys (10), this a little before they block the rotation of the screw (6).
- the interior of the bowl (15) has two reliefs (19), in the form of circular arcs generated by the partial revolution of two bumps around the axis of the housing (2), these reliefs (19) being placed on either side of the pusher (16) when the bowl (15) is at rest. Depending on the direction of movement of this bowl, one or the other relief acts on the pusher. Springs (20) recall the bowl (15) so that the groove which separates the two reliefs (19) always returns towards the pusher (16) and releases it when the connecting rods (14) are themselves released from any thrust or traction constraint by the sliding nut (11). Because the sliding nut can actuate the switch regardless of its direction of movement, this mechanism can therefore always stop the rise of the movable element, regardless of the direction of rotation of the winding tube. For a better understanding of what has just been described, reference will also be made to FIGS. 2 and 4. It will be noted, FIG. 4, that the reliefs (19) fade towards the edges of the bowl (15) to facilitate the switching of the switch pushbuttons.
- the mechanism which has just been described has the advantage of being very quick to regulate, but also, that of registering itself, since it is not necessary to access the winding tube when the movable element is wound on it.
- This tube can then be completely hidden, and even the axle supports, if their size fits into the diameter of the winding tube, can be integrated into the width of the apron of the movable element.
- This purely analog mechanism therefore constitutes the normal means of stopping the engine on the climb, but it can be doubled by a supplementary control means of the switch, in the event of an obstacle to the opening of the movable element. This means is described below.
- This second switch (24) is therefore controlled, from a pivoting of the casing which can intervene at any time under the effect of a low torque. It is arranged symmetrically at the first switch (17) with respect to the axis of the casing (2), the two leaning against a load-bearing axis (25) which can telescope in the casing (2) by compressing a spring (26 ) and they are linked together to this load-bearing axis (25).
- the latter comprises a tubular part which projects out of the casing, which is intended to be fixedly attached to an external support, allowing the escape of the electrical conductors to the outside.
- the other part of the axis (25) illustrated by the view of a section A reproduced in FIG.
- Fig. 3 ends with a cylindrical core (27) provided with a tooth (28) which clutch with a ring (29) linked to the casing (2).
- the ring (29) has two housings (30, 31) capable of receiving the tooth, but with a clearance.
- Fig. 3 a plane P1, median to the profile of the tooth (28) and to its supporting core (27). It will have been arranged, moreover, so that this plane P1 is also median to the pushers (16, 34) of the switches (17, 24), all these parts being integral with the axis (25).
- each housing (30 or 31) of the ring (29) intended to receive the tooth (28) a bearing surface (35 or 36) which creates a stop position with a distinctive side of the tooth (28) and that the ring (29) must operate a 180 ° rotation to go from one to the other while simultaneously offering a new housing for the tooth (28). It will be on one or other of these stop positions that the casing will be able to react to the torque generated by the suspension or the lifting of the mobile element and according to the direction of exercise of this couple, one or the other stop position will be chosen. On the other hand, and we also refer to FIG.
- Fig. 4 shows that the projecting shape (32) of the wheel (33) follows the internal concavity of the casing (2) and that it has a groove (37) whose central axis is parallel to that of the casing.
- the axis of this groove (37) belongs to a central section plane P2 of the part.
- the groove (37) has rounded side edges which create the bosses acting on the switch pusher.
- the wheel (33) is largely hollowed out in its center for the passage of the carrier axis (25) as well as that of the conductors and it collaborates incidentally with the other mechanism by ensuring the holding of one end of the screw of the analog repeater and guiding the rods linked to the bowl.
- FIG. 5 represents a front view of a modified clutching ring (29).
- the bearing surfaces (35, 36) against which the tooth is called to create a stop position and the stops (38, 39) which extend these surfaces simply have an elongated spiral shape, the sides of the visible tooth (28) fig. 6 embracing these surfaces.
- the pitch of the propellers will be such that a sliding of a spiral on the other causes significant lateral movement with regard to rotation and their direction of gyration will be such that it will always have the effect that the housing (2) and the 'carrier axis (25) are caused to telescope spontaneously facing a high torque, regardless of the stop position which works. It will easily be seen in FIG. 1 that any telescoping of the carrier axis (25) with the housing causes the displacement of the bowl (15) above the switch (17), thus stopping the rotation on the rise.
- a final efficiency can also be added to the device, its description not requiring the use of a drawing to be understood.
- the compression of the spring (26) which opposes this effect will require a slight effort on the part of the motor so that the casing (2) pivots and triggers its stopping.
- the nose (40) of the tooth (28) will then, seen from above, a very flat " ⁇ " shape to work on spirals whose directions of gyration are opposite.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an automatic stop device for gearmotors electric with two directions of rotation which develop torque essentially in a direction of rotation, not defined in advance, of such geared motors being designed to be housed in tubes more particularly intended for winding roller shutters or blinds.
We already know geared motors whose stopping is triggered automatically upon reaching a certain level of torque, different levels being imparted to stopping each direction of rotation of the winding tube and can be reversed due to the fact that one direction or the other of rotation of the motor can operate as well on the rise as on the descent, according to the assembly in situ. The stop device of these engines is based on a displacement of the motor housing which causes the deformation of elastic elements.
There is also known an opening limit switch device, associated with this stop device, which is housed in a drum which blocks the rotation of the shutter winding tube when the latter has completed its opening stroke. This drum has the drawback, however, of forming an assembly with the body of the gearmotor which cannot be accommodated in the short winding tubes.
The invention solves this difficulty with a stop device fully integrated into the gearmotor and having a faster adjustment mode. In addition, it no longer uses, for its normal operation, the need to assess the torque by elastic elements which remain in flexion after stopping.
Her main characteristic is, on the one hand, that the cessation of each of the senses of rotation of the motor is controlled by at least one mechanism whose action proceeds from either of the following operating modes, a repetition-based mode analog of the rotary stroke of the winding tube and a mode based on a displacement of the motor housing in response to a torque, on the other hand, in that stopping the rotation inducing the rise of the movable element is, to say the least, controlled by a mechanism proceeding from the mode based on the analog repetition of the stroke, which constitutes the normal control means, and the stopping of the rotation inducing the descent, exclusively controlled by a mechanism proceeding from the mode based on displacement of the motor housing
- a modification of the arrangement of the device can result in permuting the correlation between the stopping mechanisms acting in the context of normal operation, and the directions of rotation of the motor, this permutation obtaining only one movement of the movable element which was actuated by a certain direction of rotation of the motor or by the other direction of rotation, in order to reverse the mounting of the element,
- the means of permuting the directions of rotation of the motor, with regard to the same movement of the movable element but with a different mounting, can rest on a grouped pivoting of the switch control mechanisms around them, the switches exchanging thus their mode of enslavement, the implementation of this means being obtained by a manipulation of the winding tube which consists in a lateral displacement of the tube, then in a rotation which ends in a lateral return,
- the recording, by the analog rotary travel repeater, of the travel of the movable element can be obtained by operating an initial up-down cycle, during which the power supply to the motor is forced, at least when going up,
- the supply of the motor can be forced by a bridge which short-circuits the two poles of the switch opened by the analog repetition mechanism, and, the switches being able to exchange their control mechanism, a bridge will exist for each switch , one of these bridges or both simultaneously, opening or closing by displacement of a zipper crossing the end piece of the motor housing,
- the analog rotary stroke repeater consisting, on the one hand, of a sliding nut moving on a screw, on the other hand, of at least one gear which transmits the rotation of the winding tube to one of these elements, one pinion of the gear can move away from the other in an elastic manner, under the effect of its prevention from turning, the locked pinion then clicking against the teeth of the driving pinion,
- a pinion of the gear can extend out of the casing and serve as a thumbwheel in order to allow possible manual correction of the limit switch setting on opening,
- a load-bearing pin, one end of which protrudes from the casing to connect fixedly to a support of the winding tube, can penetrate the interior of the casing by having the faculty of telescoping in it with an elastic repulsion, its end situated in depth having a tooth which jogs with a ring linked to the casing, two coupling positions being offered to these parts for jogging together creating two stop positions facing rotations of opposite directions of the casing, which is free to pivot to go from the one to the other when the carrying axis telescopes in it, the male and female parts of the dog clutch being such that the casing can pivot with an angular play on each clutching coupling position, and the pivotings of the casing from l 'one or the other of its stop positions causing the opening of the switch on the descent,
- the bearing surfaces present in the two housings of the ring linked to the casing and intended to abut against the tooth of the bearing axis can have a spiral shape, as can the sides of the tooth, the directions of gyration of the spirals being such as an overload, during the opening operation and whatever the direction of rotation of the winding tube for this operation, causes a lateral sliding of the ring against the tooth which, by moving them apart has the effect of displacing laterally the housing by compressing a spring, this displacement of the housing causing the opening of the switch on the rise,
- the bottom of the housings of the ring which receive the tooth of the axis may not be planar and rise so that, the ring playing by spreading one or the other of its bearing surfaces of the tooth, we obtains, at the end of the descent, a thrust going from the winding tube towards the mobile element.

- Figure 1 shows schematically a longitudinal section of a motor housing at its stop device.
- Figure 2 shows the analog rotary motion repeater, seen from above.
- FIG. 3 represents a sectional view of the dog clutch which constitutes the means of permuting the correlation between the directions of rotation of the winding tube and the directions of ascent and descent of the movable element.
- FIG. 4 represents the element of the mechanism which acts on the switch on the descent.
- Figures 5 and 6 show an embodiment of the component parts of the dog clutch, which aims to create a supplementary stop means on the climb.
On s'arrangera
On constate
On
Referring to Figure 1 in which there is the winding tube (1) in which is housed the tubular casing (2) of the motor (3). This casing incorporates the whole of the stop device which is the subject of the invention and is held longitudinally in the winding tube (1) by the wheel, not shown, forming the slow speed output of the reducer. The opposite end of the casing, the section of which can be seen, is flush with the mouth of the winding tube (1). It is obstructed by a nozzle (4) and a sleeve (5) rotated by the winding tube serves as a centering pad allowing the sliding of one tube (1) on the other (2).
Let us consider a first switch control mechanism constituted by the analog rotary stroke repeater. This comprises a screw (6), the end of which has a pinion (7) which emerges from the casing (2) and meshes with an internal toothed crown (8) formed in the extension of the sleeve (5) which projects beyond the casing ( 2).
The meshing of the teeth is not firm in order to authorize a skid. For this the pinion (7) can move away from the crown (8), in a centripetal movement to it, because the body of the screw (6) has, on this side, only one spring (9 ) for support. We will arrange for the skid to be obtained from an appropriate effort and the teeth will have a rounded head, creating a compromise between the ratchet effect and the resulting effect. We also note that the pinion (7) extends beyond the sleeve (5) to offer a manual adjustment wheel allowing to resume or refine the adjustment which will be described below.
The threaded part of the screw is bounded by keys (10) between which the sliding nut (11) is caused to move. This nut should meet only one key in its travel, this threaded part will be long enough to meet all winding needs. Part of the nut (11) is wedged between the screw (6) and the wall of the casing (2) which it marries on an arc of a circle large enough not to turn. The faces of the nut have notches (12) in which the keys (10) fit in to block the rotation of the screw at the end of the stroke, which makes it possible to obtain a frank stop of its rotation, without creating any Tightening. This nut (11) has pierced ears (13) through which slide rods (14) connected to a bowl (15) which covers the pusher (16) actuating the switch (17) assigned to stop the rotation uphill. The connecting rods (14) have stops (18) which move the bowl (15) in one direction or the other, when the nut approaches one or the other of the keys (10), this a little before they block the rotation of the screw (6). The interior of the bowl (15) has two reliefs (19), in the form of circular arcs generated by the partial revolution of two bumps around the axis of the housing (2), these reliefs (19) being placed on either side of the pusher (16) when the bowl (15) is at rest.
To explain the process of recording the race which the analog memory must memorize, let us recall that this mechanism only serves to stop the ascent of the mobile element, when it is completed, and that this element must be at its maximum elevation with the sliding nut of the mechanism at the end of a stroke, on one side or the other of the screw, the power then being cut off. In order to arrive at this correspondence, we proceed as follows: before the mobile element is hooked to the winding tube, we rotate the latter until it stops naturally, then the mobile element hooked, we force the engine to run using a parallel power supply which short-circuits the switch. This can be obtained by a simple conductor which comes out of the casing, but it will be much more convenient to provide a bridge (21) between the two poles of the switch (17) placed under control of the mechanism and actuate the rise of the element. movable by the normal control inverter. A pull tab (22) which crosses the end piece (4) of the casing will open or close the bridge (21), but, we will see later that one or the other switch can cut the power up , and two bridges (21, 23) will be necessary, one which short-circuits each switch (17, 24). There could then be two pulls but to avoid trial and error, only one can also act on the two bridges at the same time, with the obligation, in this case, to manually control the descent, as long as the two bridges are not reopened .
Finally, it was indicated that the opening of the switch obviously had to be obtained before blocking the rotation of the screw, a small safety range is therefore necessary, and as the forced elevation of the mobile element s' is carried out with a blocked screw, there will be a small difference between the initial elevation and the following ones which can be corrected by acting on the pinion forming a wheel, when the mobile element is lowered. A regular installer will quickly appreciate this setting and may even avoid it by recording an initial climb slightly higher than those he wants to see retained later.
The mechanism which has just been described has the advantage of being very quick to regulate, but also, that of registering itself, since it is not necessary to access the winding tube when the movable element is wound on it. This tube can then be completely hidden, and even the axle supports, if their size fits into the diameter of the winding tube, can be integrated into the width of the apron of the movable element. This purely analog mechanism therefore constitutes the normal means of stopping the engine on the climb, but it can be doubled by a supplementary control means of the switch, in the event of an obstacle to the opening of the movable element. This means is described below.
Let us now consider the mode of operation of the reactive mechanism at torque to which the other switch assigned to stop the rotation of the winding tube on the descent.
This second switch (24) is therefore controlled, from a pivoting of the casing which can intervene at any time under the effect of a low torque. It is arranged symmetrically at the first switch (17) with respect to the axis of the casing (2), the two leaning against a load-bearing axis (25) which can telescope in the casing (2) by compressing a spring (26 ) and they are linked together to this load-bearing axis (25). The latter comprises a tubular part which projects out of the casing, which is intended to be fixedly attached to an external support, allowing the escape of the electrical conductors to the outside. The other part of the axis (25), illustrated by the view of a section A reproduced in FIG. 3, ends with a cylindrical core (27) provided with a tooth (28) which clutch with a ring (29) linked to the casing (2). The ring (29) has two housings (30, 31) capable of receiving the tooth, but with a clearance.
We can see, Fig. 3, a plane P1, median to the profile of the tooth (28) and to its supporting core (27). It will have been arranged, moreover, so that this plane P1 is also median to the pushers (16, 34) of the switches (17, 24), all these parts being integral with the axis (25).
We also note that there is in each housing (30 or 31) of the ring (29) intended to receive the tooth (28) a bearing surface (35 or 36) which creates a stop position with a distinctive side of the tooth (28) and that the ring (29) must operate a 180 ° rotation to go from one to the other while simultaneously offering a new housing for the tooth (28). It will be on one or other of these stop positions that the casing will be able to react to the torque generated by the suspension or the lifting of the mobile element and according to the direction of exercise of this couple, one or the other stop position will be chosen. On the other hand, and we also refer to FIG. 4, facing a couple of opposite directions to the lifting of the movable element, the play of each clutching coupling between the tooth (28) and the ring (29) will allow the casing (2) to pivot until a boss, belonging to a projecting shape (32) of a wheel (33) which follows the movement of the casing, presses on the push-button (34) of the switch (24) on the descent.
On aura
moteur.Fig. 4 shows that the projecting shape (32) of the wheel (33) follows the internal concavity of the casing (2) and that it has a groove (37) whose central axis is parallel to that of the casing. The axis of this groove (37) belongs to a central section plane P2 of the part. The groove (37) has rounded side edges which create the bosses acting on the switch pusher. The wheel (33) is largely hollowed out in its center for the passage of the carrier axis (25) as well as that of the conductors and it collaborates incidentally with the other mechanism by ensuring the holding of one end of the screw of the analog repeater and guiding the rods linked to the bowl.
We therefore arrange, when mounting the device in the housing, so that the position of the ring (29) relative to the wheel (33) makes P1 and P2 coincide. There will therefore be a symmetry of the two mechanisms which merges with the symmetry of the two switches (17, 24) when the casing (2) is in a stop position. The coincidence of symmetries and a stop position is repeated at each half-turn of the housing, but, the housing will only be able to pivot in one direction from this position. It will therefore be necessary for the connection of the switches to the poles of the motor to achieve good agreement between the motor supplies and the consequent reactions of the casing from a given stop position. Thus, the current flowing, for example by the switch under the control of the analog repeater, the consequent reaction of the casing to the motor torque which results from this supply must ensure that it remains in its stop position. The supply by the other switch intended for the downhill stop will necessarily obtain in this case a pivoting of the casing which could not have opposed the motor torque, this movement acting on this other switch and stopping the motor.
We come to the way of swapping the mechanisms facing the switches.
The placement of the tooth (28) in one or the other housing (30 or 31) of the ring (29) is made possible by the telescoping of the axis (25) in the housing (2) and this s '' is obtained by manual action on the winding tube (1) which will consist of moving it laterally by compressing the spring (26) which opposes this movement, turning it by half a turn and releasing it . During this action, the control mechanisms of the switches (17, 24) will rotate around them and the ring (29) will provide a new housing (31) for the tooth (28).
To limit the rotation of the winding tube in the reversal described, stops (38, 39) extend the bearing surfaces (35, 36) located in the housings (30, 31) of the ring (29). This will prevent several U-turns in the same direction which would damage the electrical conductors.
We conclude by drawing the consequences of the permutation. Each switch stopping a given direction of rotation of the motor and the same movement of the movable element which may require, depending on the assembly, one or the other direction of rotation with opposite reaction means to the torque on the part of the casing, it can therefore be said that the permutation of the switches authorizes the same movement of the movable element which was actuated by a certain direction of rotation of the motor to be by the other direction of rotation so as to be able to reverse the assembly.
The study of the device is completed by the operation of the control mode which supplements the analog mode and actuates the switch on the rise independently, only in the event of overload.
For this mechanism, no part is necessary, it suffices simply that the existing ones have a suitable shape. Reference is made to FIG. 5 which represents a front view of a modified clutching ring (29). In this, the bearing surfaces (35, 36) against which the tooth is called to create a stop position and the stops (38, 39) which extend these surfaces simply have an elongated spiral shape, the sides of the visible tooth (28) fig. 6 embracing these surfaces. The pitch of the propellers will be such that a sliding of a spiral on the other causes significant lateral movement with regard to rotation and their direction of gyration will be such that it will always have the effect that the housing (2) and the 'carrier axis (25) are caused to telescope spontaneously facing a high torque, regardless of the stop position which works. It will easily be seen in FIG. 1 that any telescoping of the carrier axis (25) with the housing causes the displacement of the bowl (15) above the switch (17), thus stopping the rotation on the rise. The sliding of the ring (29) against the tooth (28) will be triggered by a torque which will depend on the pitch of the spirals as well as on the modulus of elasticity and the setting of the spring (26) which opposes telescoping, these elements must therefore be well controlled so that the intervention of this supplementary stop means is obtained only from a determined torque.
Finally, for this auxiliary mechanism to work, it is necessary that the springs (20) which return the bowl (15) to a release position of the pusher the switch, and which then constitute the only connection between the wheel (33) and the bowl (15), have enough stiffness that the thrust of the wheel (33) that they transmit to the bowl (15) obtains the triggering of the switch.
A final efficiency can also be added to the device, its description not requiring the use of a drawing to be understood.
In order to create a slight push on the movable element, at the end of the closure it is also possible to create a spiral shape at the bottom of the housings (30, 31) of the clutching ring (29), the two spirals having inverted steps making the ring starting from one or other of its stop positions against the tooth (28) there is still a telescoping effect, but much less significant than previously, with regard to the rotation, the nose (40) of the tooth (28) sliding on a spiral and not its side. The compression of the spring (26) which opposes this effect will require a slight effort on the part of the motor so that the casing (2) pivots and triggers its stopping. Note that the nose (40) of the tooth (28) will then, seen from above, a very flat "^" shape to work on spirals whose directions of gyration are opposite.
Finally, the invention cannot be limited to the embodiment which has been described, this form having been chosen to facilitate its understanding.
We can thus, without limitation, cite without describing some possible variants. An example of a variant could consist in that the switches are always slaved to the same mechanisms and connected to the poles of the motor by permutable connections. This permutation would be obtained by a rotation of the casing passing friction pads on two contact blades to two other neighboring blades, obtaining that connections between the switches and the terminals of the motor which were direct cross. This will have the same effect as in the embodiment described above. The rotation of the casing to obtain the permutation can, in this case, be carried out on any angular sector, within the limit of the dog clutch contingencies.
We can also arrange for the position of the clutch ring and that of the ring which actuates the switch to be lowered to be reversed, or even to keep only the clutch ring, which, in addition to its cursive and locking functions, will also operate the switch on descent.
In short, all these modifications of means or form naturally remain within the scope and the spirit of the invention.
