Die Wandungen des Hohlkörpers 1 sind im Bereich der Greiferaufschläge 10 verstärkt ausgeführt.

Anschließend bewegt sich der Greifersystemkörper mit dem fixierten Bogen 4 in Richtung des Stapelträgers. Dabei wird der Bogen 4 auf seiner Unterseite auf dem Bogenleitblech geführt.
In Folge der Bewegung des Greifersystemkörpers entsteht im Strömungskanal 3 eine Luftströmung, die in den ebenfalls durch die Bewegung des Greifersystemkörpers hinter diesem entstehenden Unterdruckbereich gerichtet ist. Der dort anliegende Unterdruck wird in unmittelbarer Nähe des Greifersystemkörpers bereits wieder kompensiert, ohne auf den transportierten Bogen 4 zu wirken.

Claims (12)

  1. Gripper system body for conveying sheets in sheet printing machines, which is moved by encircling transport chains along a sheet conveying path and comprises a box-like hollow profile member (1), which carries gripper abutments (10) and which receives in the interior a gripper shaft (7) carrying grippers (8) protruding out of the hollow profile member (1) and co-operating with the gripper abutments (10), characterised by a cross member (5), which is connected with the hollow profile member (1) and arranged at a spacing from the hollow profile member (1) and which forms therewith a flow channel (3) in which an air flow directed towards the sheet conveying path can be generated by movement of the gripper system body in sheet conveying direction.
  2. Gripper system body according to claim 1, characterised in that the air flow is oriented at an angle of 35 to 45 degrees inclined with respect to the sheet conveying path.
  3. Gripper system body according to claim 1, characterised in that the cross member (5) is connected with the hollow body (1) by way of ribs (11) arranged transversely to the sheet conveying path at a spacing from one another.
  4. Gripper system body according to claim 3, characterised in that the ribs (11) have a length which is transverse to the sheet conveying path and which is smaller by a multiple than the spacing of the ribs (11) from one another.
  5. Gripper system body according to claim 1, characterised in that the hollow profile member (1) considered in cross-section has a convex curvature on the side remote from the sheet conveying path.
  6. Gripper system body according to claim 5, characterised in that the curvature runs flatly against the sheet conveying direction.
  7. Gripper system body according to claim 1, characterised in that the hollow profile member (1) has an approximately drop-shaped cross-section.
  8. Gripper system body according to claim 1, characterised in that the cross member (5) has an approximately wedge-shaped cross-section.
  9. Gripper system body according to claim 1, characterised in that the cross member (5) has the same length transversely to the sheet conveying path as the hollow profile member (1).
