Definitions
- the invention relates to a switch of an electrical device, in particular of a computer.
- the known switches serve, for example, an electrical device turn off, or a floppy disk or CD from the drive of one Computers.
- the disadvantage is that the switches are often from Users cannot be localized immediately. This is one of the reasons justifies that the switches are usually made of the same material and have the same color as the adjacent housing wall. Or that Switches do not protrude far enough from the housing wall, so that they not immediately recognized as a switch by the user.
- the invention has for its object to develop a switch with which the problems described are reduced.
- the task is according to the invention by a switch with the features of claim 1 solved.
- the switch of an electrical device in particular a computer, has at least one switch button with one the switch button on one End bounding operating area.
- the operating area has one translucent and opaque area, the translucent area can be illuminated by a lighting element, which is arranged at a distance behind the actuating surface.
- an illuminated area of the operating area By using an illuminated area of the operating area is achieved that the user presses the button immediately recognizes. It immediately locates the illuminated contour of the switch, the For example, surrounds the opaque area of the switch button.
- the switch button can take the form of a cylinder open on one side exhibit. However, it is conceivable that this has other geometric shapes takes on, for example, the shape of a cuboid.
- the switch button consists of a light-guiding Material.
- the light element that - from the user's point of view - behind the Actuating surface is arranged, generates light that on the light-guiding Wall of the switch button hits and from this towards the actuating surface is directed. There the light emerges into the environment, causing the The switch button is visible to the observer, the edge of which is illuminated.
- individual or several contiguous areas on the Pressure area of the switch button e.g. sort of Perforation to display a logo, name or the like.
- the opaque area can be covered by a cover be educated. This can be done on the surface of the translucent Material existing switch button the cover can be releasably attached.
- the cover can be, for example, a kind of "lid" on the Switch button is attached. It is also conceivable that on the Actuating surface an opaque film is glued. However, it is important that the total area of the cover is smaller than that Actuating surface. If the area of the cover be the same or would be larger than the operating area, all of the lighting element generated light rays hit the underside of the cover. A Illumination of the switch would not be possible.
- the Outer contour of the cover of the outer contour of the actuating surface be adjusted, with the cover centered on the actuating surface is arranged.
- the lighting element within the Switch button be arranged.
- the switch button cylindrical where it is on that of the actuating surface opposite end may be open
- the lighting element inside the hollow body there is the lighting element inside the hollow body.
- the luminous element emits light rays, that hit the cylinder wall. There the light is picked up and due to the light-guiding properties of the cylinder wall in the direction Operating area directed. The user sees the operating area illuminated.
- the lighting element arranged within the switch can be a be a light emitting diode (LED).
- LED light emitting diode
- the light bulb did, however the disadvantage compared to the LED that it has a relatively large amount of installation space, and needs a lot of electricity. Furthermore, the heat development of an LED considerably less than with the light bulb.
- a variety of lighting elements can be arranged inside the switch, whereby can increase the intensity of the lighting.
- the switch button is resiliently attached to a wall. Such an arrangement ensures that the switch button does not detach from the electrical device.
- the switch button can have at least one arm that covers the wall, for example a housing wall, and the switch button together combines.
- the arm can be substantially parallel to the surface of the Housing wall run and at its free end with the housing wall be connected.
- the flexible material in this embodiment existing arm acts as a spring. When the switch button is pressed, moves this into the inside of the switch (or computer case). At the same time, the arm bends into the interior of the housing, but has one restoring force acting against the direction of movement of the switch button on.
- the switch may also have an arm that is spaced apart branched to the switch button in at least two arms. This will achieves that the force acting when the switch button is depressed two arms is spread, reducing the risk of breakout of the arm is reduced at its free end.
- the housing wall at least one of the contour of the Switch button-adapted wall, for example made of plastic there is to guide the switch button.
- the wall can completely surround the switch button and more or less without play this concern, whereby an improved guidance of the switch button Actuation is achieved.
- the switch button on one inside the switch arranged switch plate to be resiliently attached.
- the switch plate can for example, run at a distance from the housing wall.
- the light element can be arranged.
- Figures 1 and 2 show a switch of an electrical device with a Switch button 1, which is cylindrical.
- the switch button 1 is in one Bordered housing wall 11 and has an outwardly directed Actuating area 5.
- the actuating surface 5 has a translucent 3 and an opaque area 4.
- the opaque area 4 is formed by a cover 4 made of plastic, which on cylindrical switch button 1 is positively attached.
- the switch button 1 is connected to the housing wall 11 by means of two arms 7 connected.
- the arms 7 run radially and opposite to Shell surface of the switch button 1 parallel to the surface of the housing wall 11.
- each arm 7 branches into two further arms 7 ', which have a c-shaped course.
- the free ends 8 the arms 7 ' are connected to the housing wall 11.
- the arms 7,7 ' exist made of a flexible plastic material.
- a switch plate 6 is arranged, which is parallel to Surface of the housing wall 11 extends.
- On the switch plate 6 is one LED 2 attached to the cylindrical hollow body arranged above it (Switch button 1) illuminated from the inside (rear).
- the cylindrical wall of the Switch button 1 receives the light and directs it in the direction Operating area 5. Since the cover 4 the wall area of the Leaves switch button 1, light reaches the edge of the actuating surface 5 outward. For the user there is a switch button 1 with a illuminated outer ring.
- switch button 1 If the switch button 1 is pressed to switch on or off, the moves Switch button 1 towards switch plate 6.
- a switch mechanism 10, which is arranged eccentrically on the switch button 1 is addressed, causing a loosening or closing of electrical contacts (not shown) is effected.
- the arms 7 act like a spring. Becomes the switch button 1 pressed, the arms 7 bend near the Shell surface of the switch button 1 particularly strongly in the direction Switch plate 6. In the area of the free ends 8 there is a small one Bend. The arms 7 acting as a spring point against the movement of the Switch button 1 a restoring force.
- the housing wall 11 has on its inside a wall 9 which the Contour of the switch button 1 is adjusted.
- the outer surface of the Switch button 1 is located perpendicular to the surface of the housing wall 11 extending wall 9 and serves to improve the management of Switch button 1.
- Housing wall 11 and wall 9 exist in this Embodiment made of plastic and are integrally formed.
