Definitions
- the dryer / accumulator is arranged after the evaporator.
- the gaseous refrigerant coming from the evaporator consists of a gas and a liquid phase.
- the liquid phase contains moisture and with the oil transported with the refrigerant.
- Task of the dryer / accumulator it is, among other things, the refrigerant to remove the moisture (water), but the oil back into the refrigerant circuit and also to separate the liquid from the gaseous phase.
- An accumulator of the type mentioned is from DE 195 05 108 A1 known. This is a metallic one Simply put the lid on the metallic one Housing welded to the peripheral wall of the housing. Any this known accumulator with carbon dioxide than If refrigerant were used, the mechanical stability would be and tightness of the welded connection between the cover and peripheral wall of the housing is not guaranteed.
- the object of the present invention is an accumulator of the type mentioned at the beginning so that it is suitable for operation with carbon dioxide as a refrigerant is.
- the accumulator according to the invention therefore leaves itself when absorbing the forces exerted by the internal pressure the lid and / or exercised, not exclusively on the welding but primarily on a positive fit.
- the welding has more of a function a seal as that of a force-absorbing Connection.
- the form fit can be designed that he can easily absorb very high forces can. Since the welding itself relieves force the risk of leaking is significantly reduced becomes.
- a particularly favorable design of the form fit can be achieved on the inner surface the peripheral wall of the housing at least one rib is provided which is an extension component in the axial Has direction and has at least one recess, into which a protrusion of the lid or bottom first introduced axial movement and then twisting is.
- the rib part due to its recess of the lid and / or bottom with the peripheral wall connecting form fit, also ensures a mechanical stiffening of the peripheral wall of the Housing that are kept thinner in this way can. This saves material and weight, which in particular when using the invention Accumulator in vehicle air conditioning systems of great importance is.
- the at least one rib on the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the housing in upper area of the peripheral wall in a smooth surface transforms. This makes it possible through the rib weight savings somewhat limited; the smooth inner surface in the upper area of the peripheral wall the housing, however, prevents interaction with an inlet molding a direct flow short circuit between the inlet and the outlet.
- the housing expediently consists of aluminum. This material combines mechanical in a special way Stability and light weight in itself. Also lets it can be processed easily by hot pressing.
- the accumulator includes one down from home open housing 1, which is a substantially cylindrical Circumferential wall 2 and an integrally molded upper cover wall 3 owns.
- On the top wall 3 is an upstanding molded in cross section approximately square connection head 4, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 3.
- the Figure 8 in which the housing 1 in a different axial section as shown in Figure 2, it can be seen that in the connection head 4 from below a first axially parallel blind hole 5 is introduced, in which a right angle, from the side surface of the connection head 4 (see FIG. 1) Blind bore 6 opens out.
- the blind bore 6 is in that adjacent to the side surface of the connection head 4 Provide area with a connection thread 7, in which a connection line (not shown) screwed in can be.
- the blind holes 5 and 6 form one Inlet for refrigerant, which in this case comes from under high pressure carbon dioxide.
- connection head 4 Parallel to the blind hole 5 is in the connection head 4, also from the interior of the housing 1, a second, graduated blind bore 8 incorporated. Also in this blind bore 8 opens at a right angle for this, running from the side surface of the connection head 4 integrated blind bore 9.
- the blind bore 9 is in the side surface of the connection head 4 adjacent area with a connecting thread 10 provided to which a refrigerant line is connected can be.
- the blind bores 8 and 9 serve as an outlet for the accumulator.
- the Circumferential wall 2 of the housing 1 in its upper, the connection head 4 adjacent area 2a a larger wall thickness than in its lower, adjacent to the open end Area 2b.
- the housing 1 is made of aluminum and is in one Hot pressing process made, the blind holes 5, 6, 8 and 9 in the connection head 4 and the recesses 12 subsequently introduced into the ribs 11 by machining are.
- the lid 13 is a plan view circular molding with a lower one, essentially cylindrical region 14 to which an upstanding hollow cylindrical collar 15 is formed. In axial The collar bears a distance from the cylindrical region 14 15 a plurality of radially outwardly projecting Projections 16.
- the number of projections 16 and their Width in the circumferential direction corresponds to the number and width the spaces between the ribs 11 on the inner surface the peripheral wall 2 of the housing 1.
- Vice versa corresponds to the number of spaces between the protrusions 16 and their width in the circumferential direction of the number and the width of the ribs 11 on the inner surface of the Circumferential wall 2 of the housing 1.
- the outer diameter of the cylindrical region 14 of the bottom 13 corresponds to the diameter of the inner surface the peripheral wall 2 of the housing 1 in a slight extended area adjacent to the open end 2c (see Figure 2).
- the outer diameter of the collar 15 corresponds to the clear width, which is the interior of the housing 1 in the region of the ribs 11, while the larger diameter on which the outer boundary surfaces the projections 16 lie, the diameter of the Inner surface of the peripheral wall 2 of the housing 1 in the area between the ribs 11 corresponds.
- the bottom 13 can be at the open end of the housing 11 due to the configuration described above in the following Way to be attached:
- the bottom 13 is with the collar 15 and the molded thereon Projections 16 advance into the lower end of the Housing 1 inserted, the angular position of the Bottom 13 relative to the housing 1 is such that the projections 16 in the spaces between the ribs 11 can penetrate. If the cylindrical area 16 bears against the step of the inner surface of the housing 1, which the area 2c of increased diameter The inner surface closes at the top Projections 16 of the bottom 13 at the same axial height as the recesses 12 which interrupt the ribs 11.
- the insert 17 combines in itself the building components mentioned in the above DE 195 05 108 A1 with the reference numerals 5 and 21 are, so the use there and that there Dip tube. Its function is essentially the same these components, so complementary to that reference is made to DE 195 05 108 A1.
- the insert 17 comprises an inlet pipe 18 which extends from the axially after the upper region of the interior of the housing 1 extends below, there into a bowl-like transition area 19 passes, which in turn also with one Exhaust pipe running axially parallel from bottom to top 20 communicates.
- the upper end of the outlet pipe 20 is tightly connected to the blind bore 8, while on the upper end of the inlet pipe 18, an inlet molding 21 is placed over which the inlet pipe 18 with the interior of the housing 1 and thus with the Blind hole 5 can communicate and a direct Flow short between the inlet and the outlet prevented.
- transition area 19 At the lowest point of the transition area 19 is one axial through hole 22 is provided, via which the inlet pipe 18 and the outlet pipe 20 with the under the transition area 19 lying interior of the housing 1 communicates. Below the transition area 19 there is a sieve cage 23 with relatively large Windows that are not shown in the drawing Strainers are covered.
- the inlet pipe 18 and the one integrally molded thereon Outlet pipe 20 eccentrically penetrate a cartridge housing 24, in the upper annular end face 25 and lower annular end face 26 a plurality of perforations.
- the annular space between the cartridge housing 24 and the formed from the inlet pipe 18 and the outlet pipe 20 Unit is with a loose bed of desiccant (Molecular sieve material) filled, as with the The subject of DE 195 05 108 A1 is the case.
- the entire insert 17 is supported by a spiral spring 27 pushed upwards, which is on the one hand on the ground 13 and on the other hand on the lower end wall 26 of the Cartridge housing 24 supports.
- the raw housing is made from Aluminum in a hot press process or cold extrusion process manufactured. Then the Blind bores 5, 6, 8, 9 and the recesses 12 in the Ribs 11 introduced. Now the prefabricated Insert 17 inserted into the interior of the housing 1, the upper end of the outlet pipe 20 in the in Diameter expanded area of the blind bore 8 Connection head 4 is introduced.
- the spiral spring 27 is pushed over the sieve cage 23.
- the function of the accumulator described corresponds essentially those described in DE 195 05 108 A1 is described with the exception that as a refrigerant carbon dioxide under high pressure is used.
- This carbon dioxide flows through the blind holes 6, 5 in the interior of the housing 1.
- the gaseous Phase of carbon dioxide passes through the inlet molding 21 into the inlet pipe 18 of the insert 17, wherein due to the smooth inner surface of the peripheral wall 2 Turbulence largely avoided in the upper area 2b become. Flows through the gaseous carbon dioxide the inlet pipe 18 down, through the transition area 19 deflected by 180 degrees, being the through hole 22 overflows. It sucks in a known manner Oil, which is in the lowest area of the interior of the housing 1, above the bottom 13.
- the gaseous Refrigerant flows, now through drops of oil enriched by the outlet pipe 20 and the blind holes 8, 9 from the accumulator.
- the liquid phase of the blind holes 6, 5 entering carbon dioxide falls in the interior of the housing 1 down and enters through the perforations in the upper end face 25 of the cartridge housing 24 in the desiccant there and is here from Moisture free.
- the liquid, boiling carbon dioxide fills the entire lower interior of the housing 1, being the one standing directly above the floor 13 Oil sump covered.
- the accumulator Due to the ribs 11, which the peripheral wall of the Reinforce housing 1 in the thinner area 2b, and because of the form fit, which by the in the recesses 12th the ribs 11 engaging projections 16 of the bottom 13 is caused, the accumulator is able to high Withstand operating and test pressures.
