  • This invention relates to waste disposal apparatus and in particular to such apparatus which includes a macerator.
  • One known waste disposal apparatus has a macerating chamber with a drain valve at the bottom of the chamber and a macerator. Waste is introduced into the chamber, the chamber filled with water to a predetermined level and the macerator switched on until the pulp product has disintegrated. The macerator is then switched off and the drain valve is opened to evacuate the chambers. Additional water may be introduced to clean the chamber.
  • Another known type of such an apparatus includes a macerating chamber having a waste inlet for the introduction of waste material, a waste outlet for the removal of macerated waste material, a macerator and a water inlet, a water pump coupled to the water inlet; an electric motor for driving both the water pump and the macerator and a controller arranged to control the motor.

Claims (10)

  1. Abfallentsorgungsvorrichtung mit:
    einer Mazerationskammer (4), die einen Abfalleinlass (6) für die Einführung von Abfallmaterial, einen Abfallauslass (14) für die Beseitigung von mazeriertem Abfallmaterial, einen Mazerator (18) und einen Wassereinlass (10) umfasst; einer Wasserstrom-Steuervorrichtung (34) zum Steuern des Wasserstroms in den Wassereinlass; einem Mazeratorantrieb (50) zum Antreiben des Mazerators; und einem Regler (64) zur unabhängigen Regelung des Mazeratorantriebes (50) und der Wasserstrom-Steuervorrichtung (34), wobei die Vorrichtung dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass der Regler derart ausgebildet ist, dass der Wasserstrom angehalten und neu gestartet wird, während der Mazeratorantrieb (50) den Mazerator (18) antreibt.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, in der die Wasserstrom-Steuervorrichtung ein Ventil (34) zum Steuern des Wasserstroms in den Wassereinlass (10) ist.
  3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, in der die Wasserstrom-Steuervorrichtung ein mit einer Wasserpumpe (26) gekoppelter Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) ist, und diese in Fluidverbindung mit dem Wassereinlass (10) steht.
  4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, die einen Starter (74) zum Einleiten des Entsorgungszyklusses enthält, der von einem Bediener der Vorrichtung bedienbar ist, wobei der Regler (64) die Bedienung des Starters (74) erfasst.
  5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 4, in der der Regler (64) derart ausgebildet ist, dass der Regler nach der Erfassung des Betriebs des Starters (74) den Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) und den Mazeratorantrieb (50) anschaltet.
  6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, in der der Regler (64) den Mazeratorantrieb (50) eine vorbestimmte Zeit nach dem Anschalten des Wasserpumpenantriebs (48) anschaltet.
  7. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, in der der Regler (64) derart ausgebildet ist, dass er den Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) nur nach einer zweiten vorbestimmten Zeit nach Anschalten des Wasserpumpenantriebs abschaltet, und der Regler (64) derart ausgebildet ist, dass der Regler optional den Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) nach einer dritten vorbestimmten Zeit nach Abschalten des Wasserpumpenantriebs (48) erneut anschaltet, wobei in diesem Fall der Regler (64) derart ausgebildet ist, dass der Regler ferner optional den Mazeratorantrieb (50) eine vierte vorbestimmte Zeit, nachdem der Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) erneut angeschaltet wurde, anschaltet, und des Weiteren in diesem Fall der Regler (64) derart ausgebildet ist, dass er optional den Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) eine fünfte vorbestimmte Zeit, nachdem der Mazeratorantrieb (50) abgeschaltet wurde, abschaltet.
  8. Vorrichtung nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei der der Abfalleinlass (6) durch einen Deckel (8) verschließbar ist, der unter der Kontrolle des Reglers (64) verriegel- und entriegelbar ist, und optional der Regler (64) derart ausgebildet ist, dass der Regler den Deckel (8) vor der Einleitung eines Entsorgungszyklusses verriegelt und den Deckel (8) eine vorbestimmte Zeit, nachdem der Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) und der Mazeratorantrieb (50) am Ende des Entsorgungszyklusses abgeschaltet wurden, entriegelt
  9. Verfahren zur Verwendung einer Abfallentsorgungsvorrichtung mit einer Mazerationskammer, die einen Abfalleinlass (6) für die Einführung von Abfallmaterial, einen Abfallauslass (14) für die Beseitigung des mazerierten Abfallmaterials, einen Mazerator (18) und einen Wassereinlass (10) aufweist, einer Wasserstrom-Steuervorrichtung (34) zum Steuern des Wasserstroms in den Wassereinlass (10); einem Mazeratorantrieb (50) zum Antreiben des Mazerators; und einem Regler, der derart ausgebildet ist, dass der Regler den Mazeratorantrieb (50) und die Wasserstrom-Steuervorrichtung (34) unabhängig voneinander steuert, wobei das Verfahren in Folge aufweist:
    a) Anschalten des Wasserstroms in den Wassereinlass (10) und des Mazeratorantriebs (50), um eine Mazeration des Abfallprodukts im Wasser einzuleiten;
    b) Abschalten des Wasserstroms in den Wassereinlass (10) für eine vorbestimmte Zeitspanne;
    c) erneutes Anschalten des Wasserstroms in den Wassereinlass (10) für eine weitere vorbestimmte Zeit; und
    d) Abschalten des Wasserstroms in den Wassereinlass (10) und des Mazeratorantriebs (50).
  10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, bei dem irgendeine oder jede der folgenden Kombination auftritt:
    I. die Wasserstrom-Steuervorrichtung ist ein mit einer Wasserpumpe (26) gekoppelter Wasserpumpenantrieb (48);
    II. bei Schritt a) wird der Mazeratorantrieb (50) angeschaltet, nachdem der Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) angeschaltet ist;
    III. bei Schritt d) wird der Mazeratorantrieb (50) abgeschaltet, bevor der Wasserpumpenantrieb (48) abgeschaltet ist; und
    IV. die Vorrichtung umfasst einen Deckel (8), der in einer geschlossenen Position verriegelbar ist, um den Abfalleinlass (6) zu schließen, und bei der der Deckel (8) in der geschlossenen Position vor oder bei dem Start von Schritt a) verriegelt und bei Schritt d) entriegelt wird.
