Abstract

Ein Verfahren zum Vorbereiten von Glaszuschnitten für die weitere Handhabung sieht vor, dass die beiden Kanten jedes Randes einer Glasscheibe zum Entfernen vom Graten u.dgl. besäumt werden, wobei das Besäumen der beiden Kanten jedes Randes einer Glasscheibe gleichzeitig erfolgt und nacheinander alle Ränder eines Glaszuschnittes im Bereich ihrer Kanten bearbeitet werden.
Eine Vorrichtung zum Besäumen der Ränder von Glaszuschnitten besitzt ein Bearbeitungswerkzeug mit einem Paar von Bandschleifern (10,12) mit Schleifbändern (26), wobei die an den Glaszuschnitten (3) angreifenden Trume der Schleifbänder (26) des Bandschleifers in mit der ebene der zu bearbeitenden Glastafel spitze Winkel einschließen und in einander im Bereich des Randes der Glastafel kreuzenden Ebenen verlaufen.
