Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for producing a packaging filled with an active agent, in particular a detergent, in tablet form.
  • the teaching of the invention can be used for the production of active ingredient compositions in tablet form, which are sold in a suitable packaging.
  • Detergents such as laundry detergents and dishwashing detergents, as well as other water-soluble detergents and cleaning auxiliaries, such as bleaches, color protectants, fragrance formulations, enzyme active agent agents, etc., come into question as active ingredients.
  • the method is also applicable to other active agents which are to be marketed in tablet form in a protective packaging on the market.
  • a particular field of application of the process according to the invention is in fact all forms of detergents and washing auxiliaries and dishwashing detergents in tablet form.
  • Another field of application are water-soluble adhesives, in particular pastes, in tablet form, which are used for the production of large-area bonds, for example for the bonding of wallpapers.
  • the preparation of active ingredient compositions, in particular detergents, in tablet form from usually finely crystalline, powdered or granulated raw materials is generally carried out with the addition of fillers, binders, disintegrants, lubricants or the like. by pressing.
  • the starting material is e.g. compressed in eccentric presses or rotary presses with the right pressure for the respective product.
  • active ingredient in particular detergent
  • tablet form protects the tablet against mechanical stress
  • skin-aggressive components are occasionally processed in cleaning agents, so that contact between the tablet and the skin is avoided by the packaging.
  • the compressed in tablet form active agent in particular cleaning, prematurely absorbs moisture from the ambient air.
  • a common type of packaging for active ingredient tablets in tablet form is blister packaging. This has also found in the field of cleaning agents in tablet form input (EP 0 903 405 A2).
  • a dishwashing composition of certain recipe is proposed, which is present compressed in tablet form.
  • the preparation of the tablets is carried out in the usual way on a normal tablet press, for example a rotary press.
  • the tablets produced by the rotary press are collected and placed in a pick and place machine in the receiving cavities of an already preformed packaging film.
  • the receiving troughs have been equipped with appropriate tablets, they are hermetically sealed on the open side by applying a closing foil, which in particular is welded or glued on.
  • a closing foil which in particular is welded or glued on.
  • the known blister pack has a packaging film of plastic, in particular of a thermoplastic, transparent or translucent plastic, such as polyethylene.
  • the packaging of the tablets of the active ingredient in a blister pack allows to choose the formulation of the active agent somewhat more freely because the requirements for dimensional stability of the tablet are lower. Even if the tablet should break, the amount of active ingredient remains so in the receiving trough held until use and is therefore still usable for the user. In particular, the previously mentioned transparent packaging can represent a considerable incentive to buy for the customer.
  • Blister packagings for active ingredient compositions in tablet form are also known for a water-soluble adhesive, in particular a paste, for a long time (DE 42 00 188 A1).
  • This prior art also discloses the usual formulations for water-soluble adhesives based on natural starting materials or water-soluble derivatives of cellulose and starch.
  • a further production step is integrated into the method, namely the formation of the receiving trough or the receiving troughs in the packaging-forming film.
  • the tablet is pressed on the one hand from the premix of the active agent, on the other hand and at the same time the packaging-forming film is deep-drawn into the receptacle of the holding mold.
  • the tablet of the active agent is in this process on the one hand object of the pressing process, on the other hand force transmission means for the deep drawing process with respect to the packaging film.
  • the method according to the invention can be further configured by the fact that in process step c) the preformed active ingredient, in particular cleaning agent, is removed from the premix holder by means of a punch displaceably arranged in the die.
  • a variant comes into question, which is characterized in that in step c) the pressing out of the preformed active ingredient from the premix by means of compressed air supply takes place. Both pressure generating mechanisms can also be used in combination.
  • the deformation of the packaging-forming film into the receptacle is facilitated by means of an air outlet from the receptacle of the holding mold or actively supported by means of air extraction from the receptacle of the holding mold.
  • a package produced by the process according to the invention with an active ingredient tablet contained therein can usually be recognized by the fact that the edge of the tablet located at the bottom of the receiving trough has a different contour than the edge of the tablet facing the open side of the receiving trough, in particular more rounded is as that.
  • the process involves the production of a packaging filled with an active ingredient in tablet form.
  • This may be a single packaging, which is cut off, for example, from the strip shown in FIG. But it can also be larger packaging groups act as the other embodiments clearly demonstrate.
  • Active agent of all kinds can be taken up by the method in a package.
  • the explanation relates to cleaning agents, in particular detergents and washing aids for the cleaning of laundry, as well as detergents for dishwashers, etc.
  • a particularly interesting field of application are also water-soluble Adhesives, especially paste, as an active agent and in the general part of the description explained.
  • this size is only an example.
  • the teaching of the invention is not limited to specific tablet sizes or tablet forms.
  • FIG. 2 clearly illustrates the basic principle of a process for the production of a packaging filled with tablets in an active ingredient, here in particular a detergent, as is known from US Pat. No. 5,662,849A.
  • the process steps are as follows:
  • the holding mold 4 side by side four recordings 3.
  • Premix not yet compressed active agent
  • the holding mold 4 is assigned a pressing mold 6 provided with corresponding pressing projections 5. This is lowered as shown by arrows from the top of the holding mold 4.
  • the amount of active ingredient present in the respective receiving trough 2 is compressed in the receiving trough 2 itself by means of the die 6 using the receptacle 3 of the holding mold 4 as an abutment to form a compact tablet 7.
  • Fig. 2 does not yet show the final state of the tablet 7, the pressing step has not yet taken place.
  • the tablets 7 are clearly visible in the receiving wells 2 of the strip-like film 1.
  • the film 1 is removed with the located in the receiving trough 2 tablets 7 of the holding mold 4 and fed to further handling stages.
  • the receiving trough 2 is closed on the open side by attaching a closing foil 8, as indicated for example in FIG. 1 on the very left for better illustration.
  • a closing film 8 which can be used particularly useful in many receiving troughs 2 a longer film strip 1, also cover or cover strips can be used.
  • the film 1 can be provided with the receiving troughs 2 continuously by means of a roller arrangement or sections by means of a flat thermoforming tool. It is assumed here for this method that the film is already provided with receiving troughs. Corresponding methods are widely known from the prior art for blister packs.
  • FIG. 3 shows schematically the structure of a device with which another method for producing a filled with an active agent in tablet form packaging is feasible.
  • this process claimed here the following process steps are provided:
  • a packaging-forming film 1 is placed on a holding mold 4 with at least one receptacle 3 forming a receiving trough, in the illustrated exemplary embodiment again four juxtaposed receptacles 3.
  • a specific amount of the not yet compressed active agent is filled and preformed in a premix holder 9 associated with a holder 3 of the holding mold 4 in a mold 4 associated with the mold 4.
  • 3 shows the preformed premix stocks in the premix holders 9 of the mold 6 above.
  • the deformation of the film 1 is performed in the manner of a deep drawing operation simultaneously with the pressing process, which significantly simplifies the production.
  • FIG. 3 shows, for the method implemented here, that the ejection of the preformed active agent agent from the premix holder 9 can take place by means of a punch 10 displaceably arranged in the mold 6.
  • the mechanical drive source for the punch 10 is not shown in Fig. 3. Rather, a pneumatic drive source is indicated, namely, such that the displacement of the punch 10 and of the preformed agent-agent cake from the premix holder 9 takes place by means of compressed-air supply via a compressed-air system 11.
  • the illustrated and so far preferred embodiment also shows that the deformation of the film 1 in the receptacles 3 of the holding mold 4 is supported by air suction from the receptacles 3 of the holding mold 4 by means of the illustrated suction system 12. At least the holding mold 4 should be provided on the receptacles 3 with air outlets to ensure a rear ventilation of the receptacles 3 when performing the deep-drawing and pressing process.
  • the illustrated embodiment shows that the method steps of the two methods explained here are each carried out quasi-static on a film section.
  • Such methods are known in the art of tablet manufacturing, especially in conjunction with eccentric presses and rotary presses.
  • the quasi-static design is particularly simple tool technology.
  • Typical pressing forces for tablets with an area of 10 to 15 cm 2 are between 10 and 60 kN.
  • Fig. 4 shows that one can form a plurality of receiving wells 2 in the film 1 next to each other and / or in a row and each can simultaneously fill with detergent.

  • packaging-forming films plastic films, in particular PE films or PVC films
  • closing foils 9 wafer-thin metal foils are used which typically allow push-through or peel-off.
  • the connection of the closing film 8 with the packaging-forming film 1 is carried out by conventional joining techniques such as gluing, welding, high-frequency joining techniques, etc.
  • water-insoluble films are produced, for example, from PVC, PE, PP, and mixtures of PE and polystyrene. Water-soluble films are prepared, for example, from polyvinyl alcohol, starch, cellulose, gelatin (with corresponding reactive internals).

  • a particular measure can be made for example by the fact that the closing film 8 is a double-layered film, between the layers of which an additional body of an active ingredient is protected housed protected.
  • this additional body may be a fragrant lens, which may not come into contact with the tablet 7 of the active agent in order not to impair the shelf life, but is readily emptied together with the tablet 7 from the packaging.
  • Corresponding additional bodies could also concern bleaching agents or enzyme components.
  • FIG. 7 shows, for example, a multipack with one double receiving trough 2.
  • individual receiving troughs 2 are respectively realized.
  • Fig. 5 further shows that to form a sales unit 14 here several packages have been used in a cardboard consisting of corresponding receiving openings carrier 15.
  • the carrier 15 forms the sales-active Oberfilambae the sales unit 14 of Fig. 4, which can be hung with a euro hanger in sales walls.
  • FIGS. 4 and 6 show exemplary embodiments of sales units which contain tablets 7 of different active agent agents.
  • a sales unit shown in FIG. 4 may contain, for example, two rows of detergent, a series of bleaches and a series of colorants or a series of enzyme detergents. This flexibility in the placement of sales units 14 results from the individual intake of the tablets 7 in the individual receiving wells 2.

  • the edge of the tablet 7 is adapted accordingly.
  • the pressing in the receiving trough 2 also has the consequence that the tablet 7 rests substantially on the entire circumference of the circumferential inner wall of the receiving trough 2. This too is not shown in FIG. 5 in order to be able to differentiate the packaging-forming film 1 from the edge of the tablet 7 in terms of character.
  • the bottom of the receiving trough 2 located edge of the tablet 7 has a different contour than the side facing the open side of the receiving trough 2 edge of the tablet 7, in particular more rounded than that ,

  • a water-soluble packaging film 1 or closing film 8 may have the problem that it shows during prolonged storage already such a strong water absorption from the ambient air that the protective effect decreases. Therefore, it may be advisable to additionally provide that the packaging is enclosed for transport and storage with a substantially water vapor-tight thin film.
  • This film can be designed solely for their task of water vapor shield out, they must not endure strong mechanical stresses, because yes, the packaging film 1 with the closing film 8 is used.
  • the drug agent For particularly delayed drug delivery, it is sometimes useful to provide the drug agent with a coating.
  • the described solution forms the possibility that the packaging-forming film 1 and the closing film 8 have material properties corresponding to the intended use of the active agent means coatings.
  • An alternative, advantageous embodiment of a package of the type in question can also be designed so that the tablet 7 is constructed of several layers of at least two layers 20, 21 of identical or different active agent agents and at least one layer 22 of a neutral release agent.
  • Fig. 8 shows an example of such a modified tablet 7 which can be used in a single or multiple package.
  • a neutral layer 22 of a release agent By introducing a neutral layer 22 of a release agent, the active ingredient components in the other two layers 20, 21 are separated from each other. Incompatible drug components can thus be processed in one and the same tablet 7. Due to the stability of the packaging, this can be realized particularly well, because the boundary layers between the individual layers of a multilayer tablet 7 in this package are not exposed to major forces.

Even so you can realize different agents in a tablet 7.
  • the package offers yet another advantageous design option, which is characterized in that the Schüeßfolie 8 is designed to be double-layered and that between the layers of the closing film 8 a Additional body of an active agent is arranged.
  • This also allows you to accommodate an additional, possibly incompatible agent agent of the tablet 7 separately in the package and still ensure that the dosage at the point of use is carried out simultaneously with the tablet 7.
  • the double-layered design of the closing film 8 may have special significance in time-delayed cleaning processes, if a water-soluble closing film 8 and packaging-forming film 1 are provided.
  • the outer layer of the closing film 8 can then be dissolved, so that the active agent agent located between the layers is released.
  • the inner layer of the closing film 8 and the packaging-forming film 1 itself is decomposed, which then release the tablet 7 with the further active agent agent in a time-delayed manner.
  • Such a delayed release of active ingredient is not only used in laundry care, but also, for example, in a toilet bowl cleaner.
