Junction device for extender (2) of the operating rod (3) and the faceplate (4) of an espagnolette, espagnolette-lock or the like (5), including a slide (15) longitudinally movably mounted behind a junction plate (20) for faceplates (4 ; 29) and including, at each of its ends (21, 22) extending at least partially beyond said plate (20), coupling means (25) likely to co-operate, in order to make them integral, with the end (26, 27) of two operating rods (3, 28), said junction plate (20) being designed telescopic at least at one of its ends (24), in order to extend, after coupling of said rods (3, 28), above the end (36, 37) of the face-plates (4, 29) covering the latter, this junction device being characterised in that the junction plate (20) includes, at its telescopic end (24), a pin (38) under which is capable of sliding longitudinally a cover plate (39) likely to adopt a retracted position and a forward position, this plate being designed capable of covering, in the latter position, the end (35) of a faceplate (29), so as to impede the latter from disengaging from said junction device (1).
  2. Junction device (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that the cover plate (39) is designed capable of being maintained in the forward position through fastening means (40).
  3. Junction device according to claim 2, characterised in that under the junction plate (20) extends a retaining shoe (41) passing through an elongated slot (42) in the slide (19), this retaining slot (41) being drilled with a hole (43) for the passing through of a fastening screw and coinciding with an opening (44) in the cover plate (39) when the latter is brought into its forward position for locking the faceplate (29).
  4. Junction device according to any of claims 2 and 3, characterised in that the junction plate (20) includes, on its upper face, a stud forming a stop (45) capable of limiting the drawback of the cover plate (39).
  5. Junction device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the junction plate (20) includes, at an end (23) opposite the telescopic end (24), a cover lip (46) designed capable of extending above a faceplate (4) behind which slides an operating rod (3) co-operating with the coupling means (25) the end (21) of the slide (19) is provided with.
