Definitions

  • the invention is based on a fastening device of an injector of a fuel injection device to an internal combustion engine according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a fastening device is through the EP 0 957 263 A1 known.
  • a transverse to the longitudinal axis of the support surface is arranged on the injector, which is formed directly in the outer jacket of the injector by a step.
  • On the support surface engages as part of the fastening device on a clamping claw, which is attached to the internal combustion engine, such as a cylinder head, for example by means of a screw connection.
  • the clamping claw By the clamping claw, the injector is pressed in the direction of its longitudinal axis against a stop on the internal combustion engine.
  • the support surface must have a sufficient size to keep the surface pressure occurring by the clamping claw low and ensure a secure support of the clamping claw.
  • the outer diameter of the injector must also be made correspondingly large.
  • the space that is available for the injector and its installation on the internal combustion engine is often limited, so that the maximum possible diameter of the injector, mounted with this and arranged on the internal combustion engine can be, again limited.
  • only a part of the circumference of the injector another component of the internal combustion engine is present, for example, a part of the cam engine of the internal combustion engine, by which the maximum possible outer diameter of the injector is limited.
  • the outer diameter of the injector must be selected in such a way that the injector can pass this disturbing component.
  • the fastening device with the features of claim 1 has the advantage that the injector can be mounted even when limited to a part of its circumference space.
  • the injector is initially arranged with the pre-assembled on this support ring at the intended location on the internal combustion engine.
  • the injector has a small outer diameter, so that it can get past a disturbing component.
  • the support ring is pushed onto the injector, wherein the open peripheral region is arranged to the interfering component, so that the support ring can be pushed past this component until it rests against the support ring.
  • the support ring is rotated so that the bearing surface arranged on this assumes the intended position and it is fixed the clamping claw.
  • the embodiment according to claim 4 ensures that the support surface is arranged correctly and the clamping claw can not slip on this.
  • FIG. 1 a detail of an internal combustion engine with a arranged on this injector in a longitudinal section
  • FIGS. 2 to 5 an assembly sequence of a fastening device of the injector
  • FIG. 6 a perspective view of parts of the fastening device.
  • FIG. 1 is a detail of an internal combustion engine, for example, a motor vehicle shown.
  • the in FIG. 1 shown detail is a part of a cylinder head 11 of the internal combustion engine, wherein in the cylinder head into a bore 10, an injector 12 is inserted, which is also shown only in part.
  • the injector 12 has an approximately cylindrical outer contour, optionally with a stepped diameter.
  • the injector 12 is part of a fuel injection device of the internal combustion engine and to this a hydraulic connection for the supply of fuel under high pressure to the injector 12 is provided, is injected by the injector 12 of the supplied fuel into a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.
  • a further hydraulic connection can be provided on the injector 12, through which fuel is discharged from the injector 12 again.
  • the bore 10 is stepped in diameter, so that in this an annular shoulder 18 is formed on the the injector 12 comes into abutment with an annular shoulder 20 formed thereon by the stepped diameter in the direction of its longitudinal axis 13.
  • the annular shoulder 18 thus forms a stop on which the injector 12 when inserting into the bore 10 in the direction of its longitudinal axis 13 comes to rest.
  • a camshaft is arranged, through which the gas exchange valves of the internal combustion engine are controlled, wherein, for example, rocker arms 22 are provided between the camshaft and the gas exchange valves.
  • the rocker arms 22 are arranged near the bore 10 and extend over part of the circumference to close to the injector 12, so that only a small distance remains between the injector 12 and the rocker arm 22.
  • the injector 12 protrudes with a part of its longitudinal extension out of the bore 10 and has in this part a circumferential annular groove 24.
  • an elastically expandable support ring 26 is inserted, which is preferably formed in the form of a conventional snap ring or spring ring.
  • the support ring 26 is pushed in an elastically expanded state on the injector 12 and locked by its residual stress in the annular groove 24 a. If the support ring 26 is arranged in the annular groove 24, so he projects with a part of its thickness beyond the adjoining the annular groove 24 outer shell of the injector 12 also.
  • the support ring 26 may already be mounted in the bore 10 prior to insertion of the injector 12, or alternatively may be mounted in the bore 10 after insertion of the injector 12.
  • a support ring 30 is pushed onto the injector 12 as a further part of the fastening device.
  • the support ring 30 is over formed a portion 32 of its circumference open and formed stepped in its inner diameter. Due to the stepped inner diameter of the bearing ring 30 in the direction of the longitudinal axis 13 of the injector 12 protruding from the bore 10 free end of the injector 12 pioneering annular shoulder 34 is formed.
  • the support ring 30 is as in longitudinal section according to FIG. 2 and in the view in the direction of arrow III according to FIG.
  • the support ring 30 When the support ring 30 has passed the rocker arm 22, it can be rotated on the injector 12 about its longitudinal axis 13, so that the open peripheral region 32 is no longer disposed to the rocker arm 22, as in FIG. 4 is shown with the arrow.
  • a support surface 36 At its free end of the injector 12 side facing the support ring 30 has a support surface 36 which extends transversely, preferably perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 13 of the injector 12.
  • a clamping claw 40 attached to the cylinder head 11 of the internal combustion engine.
  • the clamping claw 40 is formed bent approximately L-shaped and has a laterally adjacent to the injector 12 arranged to the internal combustion engine 11 extending end portion 42 having on its underside a contact surface 43, with which the end portion 42 in Direction of the longitudinal axis 13 of the injector 12 comes to rest on a support 44 on the internal combustion engine.
  • the contact surface 43 may, for example, be curved at least approximately spherically.
  • the other end portion 46 of the clamping claw 40 extends approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 13 of the injector 12 and is fork-shaped, so that it surrounds the injector 12 on a part of its circumference.
  • the end region 46 of the clamping claw 40 comes with its underside 48 on the support surface 36 of the support ring 30 to the plant.
  • the bottom 48 of the end portion 46 of the clamping claw 40 may be formed convex, for example.
  • a bore 50 is provided in this, through which a screw 52 is inserted, which is screwed into a threaded bore 54 in the internal combustion engine.
  • the clamping claw 40 is braced in the direction of the longitudinal axis 13 of the injector 12 to the internal combustion engine.
  • the clamping claw 40 engages over its end portion 46 which abuts with its underside 48 on the support surface 36 of the support ring 30, the support ring 30, which in turn is supported on the support ring 26 on the injector 12, thus by the clamping claw 40 with its annular shoulder 20th is pressed against the annular shoulder 18 in the bore 10 as a stop, so that the injector 12 is fixed to the internal combustion engine.
  • FIG. 6 In order to avoid a rotation of the support ring 30 with mounted clamping claw 40 is an in FIG. 6 shown rotation for the support ring 30 is provided. In FIG. 6 For reasons of clarity, the injector 12 is not shown, but only the support ring 30 and the clamping claw 40 are shown.
  • the anti-rotation is by at least one hand in the clamping claw 40th and on the other hand formed in the support ring 30 engaging dowel pin 60.
  • two dowel pins 60 are provided, which are arranged offset to one another in the circumferential direction of the support ring 30.
  • the clamping claw 40 has in this case next to the bore 50 through which the screw 52 is inserted, on its side facing the internal combustion engine two further holes 62, in each of which one of the dowel pins 60 is pressed.
  • the support ring 30 has in its outer shell corresponding to two recesses 64, which are formed in cross section at least approximately circular segment-shaped, in which engage the dowel pins 60.
  • the recesses 64 are disposed on either side of the open peripheral portion 32 of the support ring 30 near this.
  • dowel pins 60 By engaging in the recesses 64 dowel pins 60 also a spreading of the support ring 30 is avoided.
  • a force acting in the radial direction can result on the support ring 30, by which this would be spread.
  • dowel pins 60 By acting on the outer surface of the support ring 30 dowel pins 60 such spreading of the support ring 30 is prevented, so that the bearing surface 36 assumes the intended position and slipping of the clamping claw 40 is avoided.
