Definitions
- the present invention relates to a fitting with a wide fitting part, a side fitting part and a fastener according to claim 1.
- EP-A 0 386 594 describes a sanitary water outlet valve with a Valve housing and an outlet pipe that can be screwed into it.
- the outlet pipe is with surrounded by a decorative sleeve that is axially strung against the valve housing and an end face shaped in accordance with the outer wall of the valve housing having.
- An annular groove is arranged on the outlet pipe, into which a snap ring can be snapped into place, the annular groove being placed in such a way that, with the interposition, Elastic ring and a washer with the decorative sleeve Bias is strung against the cylindrical surface of the housing. A this results in a rigid, play-free connection of the decorative sleeve to the valve housing not manufactured.
- fitting parts 1 and 2 which can be, for example, a housing, a pipe section, a hydraulic device, etc., in particular preferably a wide fitting part 1 in the form of a housing part of a water fitting with an at least approximately cylindrical outer contour and a lateral fitting part 2 are shown in the form of an outlet pipe with an outlet 3 for water or another liquid.
- the term "hydraulic" refers to any liquid.
- the outlet pipe 2 has an axial cavity or passage 4 which communicates with an opening forming the outlet 3 .
- the fitting parts 1 and 2 each have an axial axis of symmetry 5 and 6 , which are located in one and the same plane, and are connected in close contact with one another by a fastening element 7 .
- One end ( 30 in FIG. 2 ) of the valve part 2 touches the outside of the cylinder wall 8 of the valve part 1 , which has the larger diameter.
- the cylinder wall 8 the shape of which is essentially not affected by this contact, thus touches a cut surface of the fitting part 2 , which is designed for this purpose in the special shape of a so-called penetration, so that the shape of this end ( 30 in FIG. 2 ) the fitting part 2 is adapted to the outer surface of the cylinder wall 8 of the fitting part 1 .
- the tubular fitting part 2 which has the smaller diameter, can be butt-joined to the fitting part 1 at a predetermined angle.
- a sharp contact edge is formed between the valve parts 1 and 2 , as seen from the outside.
- the fastening element 7 of FIG. 1 and 2 comprises several parts, namely a connecting insert 9, a threaded shaft 10 with a nut 11, a snap ring 12 (Fig. 3 to 6), a sealing ring 13 and a special gasket 14.
- the connecting insert 9 has a circular cross section and is provided with an axial through bore 15 .
- the connecting insert 9 can consist of one, two or more parts; if it is preferably made in one piece, it is also called a pipe socket.
- FIG. 2 shows further details of the fastening element 7.
- a region 16 at one end of the pipe socket 9 is also designed as a penetration so that it can be butted onto the fitting part 1 .
- the other end of the pipe socket 9 is delimited by an end face 17 formed perpendicular to the axis 6 .
- the pipe socket 9 has a cylindrical lateral surface 18 so that it can be inserted into a bore 19 at one end of the fitting part 2 up to a shoulder 20 with little play.
- the pipe socket 9 also has a relatively wide and deep groove 21 for the snap ring 12 and a smaller groove 22 for the sealing ring 13 .
- the grooves 21 and 22 are formed parallel to the end face 17 .
- an air gap is formed through an enlarged inner bore 23 up to a shoulder 24 , where the special seal 14 , for example a silicone seal, is housed, the end part of which is preferably also designed as a penetration to make it blunt on the fitting part To be able to add 1 .
- the nut 11 presses against the end face 17 via a disk spring 25 .
- the threaded shaft 10 has a coaxial inner bore 26 , and on the outside it is provided with a middle smooth outer surface between a first region 27 with an external thread for the nut 11 at one end and a second region 28 also with an external thread at the other end ,
- the cylindrical wall 8 of the fitting part 1 has a continuous oblique bore 29 with an internal thread, which is formed coaxially to the axis 6 .
- the end region 28 is screwed into this bore 29 .
- the end of the threaded shaft on this side is shaped at least approximately in accordance with the inner contour of the fitting part 1 .
- FIG. 3 shows the lateral shape of the snap ring 12 , which, as is evident from FIG. 4 , is not completely ring-shaped, since it has a cutout at an angle w of approximately 30 ° to 110 ° . Otherwise, a resilient clamping piece can also serve as the snap ring 12 .
- the fitting part 2 ( FIG. 2 ) has an enlarged inner diameter adjacent to its inclined end 30 , so that there is an air gap 31 up to a transition ramp 32 . Between the ramp 32 and the end face 17 of the pipe socket 9 in the assembled state, there is a circumferential groove 33 on the inside of the valve part 2 , which groove is designed to have the snap ring 12 clamped in such a way that the pipe socket 9 is firmly attached to the valve part 2 can be held and pressed against it.
- the wall or flank 34 of the groove 33 facing the fitting part 1 is preferably inclined inwards.
- the edge region of the cross section of the snap ring 12 as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 , has the shape of a symmetrical trapezoid, the smaller uneven side lying on the outer edge between two preferably oblique or inclined flanks 35 and 36 , which in particular are also symmetrical can be, and wherein the flanks 34 and 35 have the same inclination.
- the fastening element according to FIGS. 1 to 6 functions as follows: First, the oblique end region 28 of the threaded shaft 10 is screwed into the threaded bore 29 of the wall 8 until its inner end is at least approximately flush with the inner contour of the fitting part 1 . Then the pipe socket 9 , if appropriate with the seal 14 fitted, is pushed over the threaded shaft 10 until it rests at least approximately with its one end face in a suitable rotational position on the fitting part 1 and the threaded end region 27 of the threaded shaft 10 protrudes from the bore 15 . Finally, the nut 11 is screwed onto the part 27 and preferably tightened via the disc spring 25 in order to hold the pipe socket 9 against the wall 8 of the housing 1 .
- This snap ring 12 therefore causes a non-removable permanent connection. Since the shoulder or flank 34 ( FIG. 5 ) of the groove 33 closer to the fitting part 1 is formed obliquely in the interior of the fitting part 2 , with the same angle of attack as with the trapezoidal edge 35 of the snap ring 12 which it touches, there is a radial bracing , which ensures a play-free connection between the fittings 1 and 2 . The small angle of attack on the flank also creates self-locking.
- the pipe 2 is therefore pressed against the fitting part 1 by means of the spring ring 12 .
- the snap ring 12 can also have, for example, a circular cross section in a known manner if one wants to have a more detachable connection.
- the snap ring 12 preferably has at least one flank 35 which is inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis of the groove, the snap ring preferably being formed radially on the inside with a rectangular and radially on the outside with a symmetrically trapezoidal ( 35, 36 ) cross section.
- connection between the armature parts 1 and 2 inseparable, so that a perfect unit is created as a replacement for a corresponding one-piece structure.
- the two permanently connected fittings have proven to be particularly advantageous in terms of their surface treatment. Because a corresponding one-piece structure - especially along the sharp contact edge between the two tubular parts - would be relatively difficult to clean, grind, polish, chrome-plate, paint, etc. However, such surface treatments can be carried out perfectly with the originally separate fitting parts according to the invention.
- valve parts 1 and 2 are circular or have a different, for example elliptical, shape.
- the cylinder wall 8 is therefore generally to be understood as the outer wall of the fitting part 1 .
- the connecting insert 9 is preferably formed in one piece. It can also consist of two parts, as would result, for example, from a cut along the plane of the flat wall 37 ( FIG. 5 ) of the groove 33 , because the two parts would then be held by the nut 11 anyway. In this case, a sealing ring could be inserted between the ramp 32 and the snap ring 12 .
