Abstract

The invention provides a fuser station (118) with a vented wiper assembly for an imaging device (100). The image forming apparatus (100) may include a photoconductor (102), a primary charger (108), an exposure apparatus (110), a toner station (112), a transfer charger (114), and a ventilated fuser (118). The fuser (118) may include a nip roll (122), a fuser roll (124), and a wiper assembly. The wiper assembly includes rib portions (236, 636, 736) that form one or more slots that are configured to generate an airflow pattern to reduce condensate formation. Optionally, the wiper assembly is provided with an entry entry guard disposed in one or more of the slots.
