Abstract
Vorrichtung und Verfahren zum Vorwärtsbewegen eines Empfangselements für ein in passgenau ausgerichteter Beziehung mit einem bildtragenden Element. Ein Motor (M1) ist vorgesehen, der auf Motoransteuerungsimpulse (216) anspricht. Ein Antriebselement (102) greift in das Empfangselement ein, und eine Antriebskupplung (108,114) verbindet das Antriebselement (102) und den Motor (M1) miteinander. Ein Codierer (200) erzeugt Codiererimpulse (206), die der Bewegung des bildtragenden Elements entsprechen. Ein Impulsgenerator (214) erzeugt Motoransteuerungsimpulse (216) auf grund von Codiererimpulsen (206), um das Empfangselement auf eine Geschwindigkeit zu beschleunigen, die ungefähr gleich der Bildtransportgeschwindigkeit (220) ist. Ein Zeitgebermechanismus (302) verzögert die Beschleunigung des Empfangselement auf die Bildtransportgeschwindigkeit (220) um die Dauer der Verzögerungszeit, das ist die durch die Zahl der Cordiererimpulse ausgedrückte Zeitspanne zwischen dem Erfassen der Vorderkante des Empfangselements und dem nächsten Motoransteuerungsimpuls zum Abbremsen des Motors. Apparatus and method for advancing a receiving member for a precisely aligned relationship with an image bearing member. A motor (M 1 ) is provided which is responsive to motor control pulses (216). A drive element (102) engages in the receiving element, and a drive coupling (108, 114) connects the drive element (102) and the motor (M 1 ) to one another. An encoder (200) generates encoder pulses (206) which correspond to the movement of the image bearing element. A pulse generator (214) generates motor drive pulses (216) based on encoder pulses (206) to accelerate the receiving element to a speed approximately equal to the image transport speed (220). A timer mechanism (302) delays the acceleration of the receiving element to the image transport speed (220) by the duration of the delay time, that is the time period, expressed by the number of cordier pulses, between the detection of the leading edge of the receiving element and the next motor drive pulse for braking the motor.
