Description

The invention relates to a display case for the presentation, in particular sales presentation of fresh goods, preferably fresh baked goods and / or confectionery, with a closure member which can be actuated via doors, flaps or the like, is accessible from the outside, essentially box-like goods receiving space, with at least one air inlet for at least an externally generated cooled circulating air flow and with at least one air outlet for removing the circulating air from the goods receiving area and with at least one lamp in the goods receiving area generating light, each of which has a closed housing with at least partially translucent housing walls.

A showcase of the aforementioned type is known from DE-A-25 05 390.

In the known display case, which serves for a sales presentation, the display case side facing the customer standing in front of the display case can be used as the customer side and the opposite side on which the person working in the shop is working Operating personnel, are referred to as the operating side.

The box-like goods receiving room has a glass front wall on the customer side so that the customer can view and select the goods presented.

The goods receiving area is divided into compartments by intermediate shelves or shelves on which the goods can be placed. Each compartment is closed in the area of a rear wall and thus from the operating side by a respectively assigned locking member. If an operator opens a closure member, goods can be removed from the open goods compartment. The rear wall with its locking members is also expediently made of transparent material, which makes it easier for the operator to access the goods selected by the customer.

After the goods have been removed, the corresponding goods compartment, and thus the goods receiving space, is closed again, so that the goods receiving space is a box-like chamber which is closed on all sides. The inside of the goods receiving room is cooled to keep the freshness of the presented goods. For this purpose, cooled air is blown into the goods receiving space via an air inlet. The blown-in cooled air is sucked out again via an air outlet. As a result, there is constant air circulation in the form of a circulating air flow. The circulating air flow enters the goods receiving room at a low initial temperature. The exhaust air flowing out of the goods receiving space via its air outlet has a higher temperature than the inlet temperature, since it has warmed up on its way from the air inlet to the air outlet.

This heating takes place, for example, on the basis of an inherently undesirable air exchange when the closure members are open, because warm air can enter the goods receiving area from the surroundings of the display case. Heat is also introduced over the walls of the goods receiving area.

In the case of display cabinets of the aforementioned type, it is customary to install lamps which illuminate the interior of the goods receiving space brightly and uniformly, so that in particular the goods stored in the individual goods compartments are optimally presented.

According to GB-A-2 231 140, a display case is known in which incandescent lamps are arranged in a closed housing, which is designed as a channel for the forced passage of air drawn in from the surroundings of the display case. The air heated up by the flow of light bulbs exits into the surroundings of the showcase.

As a result, undesirable effects of the heat on the goods receiving space inside the showcase are largely, but not completely avoided.

Lamps are heat generators, which, due to their arrangement in the goods receiving area, increase the need for cooling power to be provided. This would be the case with the display case known from GB-A-2 231 140, but in particular it occurs with the display case known from DE-A-25 05 390.

If there are temperature sensors in the goods receiving room that act on the external cooling system, a higher cooling capacity can be requested for both known showcases lead to undesirable drop below dew point, condensation and even ice formation, in particular at the air inlet of the externally cooled air into the display case. In addition, the transparent walls of the goods receiving room can fog up and become opaque.

For showcases, it is therefore important to keep the interior of the goods-receiving room at a uniform cooling temperature. The energy required to generate the cooled air is a not inconsiderable cost factor for the retailer selling the goods on display, who often also uses several showcases at the same time.

The object of the invention is to reduce the running costs, in particular for cooling, of a display case.

Further advantageous features of the display case according to the invention result from subclaims 2 to 16.

In the display case according to the invention, a cooling capacity to be demanded is kept low by switching off the lamp heat. The lamps have encapsulated housings which are used to discharge exhaust air from the goods receiving area. Each lamp housing is therefore part of a guide channel that is involved in the formation of the air outlet. Cooled air is drawn from the goods receiving space into the housing of the lamp and, after it has flowed through the housing via air ducts, shafts or similar flow paths that are involved in the formation of an air outlet. The entire air outlet and so that the associated air channels, shafts and the like flow paths, or ultimately the interior of the encapsulated housing of the lamps, the suction side is one with z. B. blower equipped external cooling system in which the air sucked in over the entire air outlet from the goods receiving space is cooled and then supplied again to the air inlet of the goods receiving space.

The lamps are thus cooled in an advantageous manner, so that the heat released during the conversion of electrical energy into light is eliminated or dissipated at the point of origin within the housing of the lamps. The lamp housing itself can no longer heat up because a stream of relatively cool air constantly enters the housing from the goods receiving space and sweeps through the housing along the luminous elements installed therein.

Adverse heat radiation, in particular from heat-sensitive goods lying directly under the lamps, likewise no longer occur in the display case according to the invention.

The lamp housings form closed flow channels. Cooled air can enter each housing from the goods receiving space, that is to say from the surroundings of the housing, through openings, slots, openings or the like, open areas or windows in a housing wall. The open areas can also be provided with inserted sieves or can also be equipped with adjusting elements for adjusting their opening width, for example with movable closure slats, sliding slot grilles or the like.

The lamp housing is installed in the goods receiving space in such a way that a suction or exhaust air duct assigned to the air outlet is connected to the interior of the respective lamp housing at at least one point. In the case of a housing which is in the form of an elongated hollow profile made of metal or plastic and which can extend under an intermediate floor from side wall to side wall of the goods receiving space, the aforementioned point of connection to a suction or exhaust air duct is one end or an end face of the hollow profile. Preferably, both ends or both end faces of each lamp housing present as a continuous hollow profile are connected to the associated side wall, such that several are located one above the other and approximately on a suction and exhaust air duct located in the side wall, which runs transversely to the floors formed from a plurality of intermediate floors in the goods receiving space Lamp housings lying parallel to one another are connected with their ends or end faces in an air-conducting manner.

In the case of a lamp housing in the form of an elongated hollow profile, the opening through which air can flow into the lamp housing from the outside is arranged approximately in the middle with respect to the longitudinal extent. If both ends of the elongated housing are connected to an air duct that serves as part of the air outlet, a flow of cool air is carried out in the lamp housing from the center to the respective ends or end faces, which absorbs heat on the way to the ends of the lamp housing and ultimately removed. The lamp is continuously cooled.

Of course, it is also possible to provide a plurality of openings which are distributed over the length of a lamp housing and through which air can flow. However, the arrangement must be such that no dead zones occur in the lamp housing. This can be caused, for example, by different widths of the openings. If the openings are slots, for example, the slot width of an opening located in the center of the lamp housing can be larger or the slot widths can decrease towards the respective end of the lamp housing.

The air channels, to which the lamp housings in the form of hollow profiles are connected, are integrated into the side walls of the showcase. Each air duct can be a shaft-like configuration that is embedded in an insulating layer of the side wall. The air ducts are thus incorporated or integrated into the respective side wall. It is also possible to insert components serving as air duct, for example profiles, in the respective side wall or in its insulating material.

The display case according to the invention has a cupboard-like base for the goods receiving space standing on it. In the substructure, the system for generating a cooling circulating air flow is arranged, the floor of the goods receiving space also forming a cover of the substructure, which has openings serving as the air inlet and air outlet of the goods receiving space. These openings are mouths of associated air duct shafts on the substructure side, which are assigned to the suction side or pressure side of the system for generating a cooled circulating air flow.

The showcase can be delivered as a kit made of prefabricated parts. The components are assembled on site to make the showcase ready for use. However, the substructure can also be a prefabricated unit complete with all internals, which is only to be placed at the predetermined location at the installation site of the display case. If necessary, goods receiving space provided as a finished unit can be placed on top of it, with only connections between the units, for example screw connections, as well as electrical lines, for example for the lamps, to be connected to one another at designated and prepared separation points ,

Since the floor of the goods receiving space also forms a cover of the substructure, which has openings serving as air inlet and air outlet and the openings are mouths of associated air duct shafts on the substructure side, optimal measures are taken from the outset to distribute cooled air supplied via the air inlet when flowing into the goods receiving space and, after flowing through the goods receiving space, also to be removed therefrom.

In this case, a first opening for an air inlet is placed in an area which is located in the transition area between the floor of the goods receiving space and a front wall delimiting the goods receiving space on its front customer side. The first opening there merges into a preferably slot-like extension and extends almost over the entire length of the goods receiving space, the length of the goods receiving space roughly corresponding to the width of the display case.

The cooled air entering the goods receiving space via the slot-like extension forms an air curtain flowing upward into the goods receiving space, which branches out through free turbulence and is distributed in the goods receiving space. The front walls of showcases are usually set at an angle, which means that the goods storage area is lower in the floor area than in the upper head area. As a result, the flow of cooled air entering via the air inlet forms a circuit from the rear wall opposite the front wall, causing air to move downwards towards the floor. There is at least a second opening for an air outlet, also in the form of a slot in the transition area between the floor of the goods receiving space and the rear wall delimiting the receiving space on its rear operator side. The second opening for the air outlet also extends advantageously over almost the entire length of the goods receiving space and thus approximately over the width of the display case.

In addition to the second opening for an air outlet located in the floor, the air outlet also takes place according to the invention via the housing of the lamps. This means that part of the air from the goods receiving area passes through the second Opening in the floor area in front of the rear wall and part of the air discharged through the housing of the lamps.

In order to achieve balanced flow conditions, the openings in the floor area in front of the rear wall and / or the front wall can be equipped to be adjustable. For example, a change in the width of the opening of the air outlet is conceivable, for example by means of adjusting slides or the like, as are also used in air conditioning and ventilation systems.

The box-like goods receiving space preferably comprises a frame construction composed of profiles, in particular plastic profiles, preferably plastic hollow profiles, in the free frame compartments of which the front wall, the rear wall, the side walls and an upper storage plate and the lower floor are inserted. Such a light and open design allows the goods receiving area to be given an appealing exterior without having to accept losses in terms of strength and stability. A particular advantage also results from the fact that the profiles of the frame construction can be hollow profiles, which in turn are at least partially involved in the formation of air outlets and in the diversion of circulating air into the effective area of an air duct for extracting the circulating air. All profiles can be involved in the formation of air outlets. However, it is also conceivable to involve only a predetermined part of the profiles or certain sections of the profiles in the formation of the air outlet.

The floor of the goods receiving space also forms a cover that closes the base on the top. The lid is advantageously a double-walled plate component With an inner insulation layer that prevents heat radiation from the system in the substructure for cooling the circulating air into the goods receiving area.

The surface of the cover facing the goods receiving space is advantageously recessed in a trough-like manner, the trough-like recess being covered with a cover plate which ends at a predetermined distance in front of the front wall and in front of the rear wall, forming slot-shaped first and second openings for air inlet and air outlet.

The system for cooling the air is located in the base approximately in the middle of the display case. However, it can also be offset more or less towards the end of the display case. The air ducts, which are assigned to the system for cooling, open into the trough-like depression, a separating plate being provided, which shuts off the opening region below the cover of a suction-side air duct assigned to the air outlet relative to the opening region of a pressure-side air duct assigned to the air inlet.

This embodiment has the essential advantage that the cooled air flowing in from the air duct, which is assigned to the air inlet, flows into the trough-like depression and is distributed over almost the entire surface of the cover before it exits the trough-like depression via the first slot-like depression Extension of the opening in front of the front wall flows into the goods receiving room. At the same time, with this distribution of the cooled air flowing into the trough-like depression from the air duct, the cover is cooled from below, so that the goods receiving space advantageously has a constantly cooled floor.

The partition plate is arranged offset with respect to the distance between the rear wall and the front wall to the rear wall, as a result of which the cooled area of the floor of the goods receiving space is enlarged. Over the slot-shaped extensions of the first and second openings can also be arranged guide elements for the incoming or outgoing air which can be used to regulate and adjust the air flows and which can also serve as "crumb sieves", which prevent accidental falling Parts of the goods presented reach the air ducts.

The front wall 14 is formed by a glass pane which is hinged at its lower edge to the right outer edge of the cover 11. The front wall can be folded down for cleaning purposes.

The interior of the goods receiving space 2 is divided into product compartments by insert shelves 18, 18 ', 18' '. One tray or several trays with the goods to be presented can be placed on each shelf.

Each goods compartment or each floor formed by a shelf 18, 18 ', 18''is accessible from the operating side. After the removal of the desired goods, the tray is pushed back onto the shelf and the respective goods compartment of the goods receiving space 2 is closed again by folding back the closure member.

21' bis 21"'.An elongated lamp 21 or 21 'to 21 "' runs under each shelf 18, 18 ', 18" in the longitudinal direction of the display case.

The lamp 21 '' 'is placed under the upper shelf 17 of the goods receiving space 1.

Each lamp 21 to 21 '''consists of a housing with at least partially translucent housing walls 22, 22', 22 "or 22 ''', so that the luminous element 23, 23`, 23''or23''located in the housing 'Light is illuminated through the housing walls into the respectively assigned goods compartment of the goods storage room 2, which is located below a shelf 18, 18', 18 '' or the upper storage plate 17. The housing walls are Part of the housing of each lamp 21 to 21 '''. The housing here consists of a hollow profile, which is at least air-permeable on one of its end sides and opens into an air duct 24 which serves to discharge recirculated air. This is indicated here by the dashed bores 25 to 25 ''', which are located on one end or end of a lamp 21 to 21''' where the housing of each lamp, which is in the form of a hollow profile, is connected to the air duct 24. The air duct 24 is here a profile or a shaft-like configuration, which is integrated in side walls 16 or 16 ', which laterally delimit the box-type goods receiving space 2.

Approximately in an area corresponding to the center of the display case, each housing wall 22 to 22 ″ ″ of each lamp 21 to 21 ″ ″ has an opening that is open toward the goods receiving space 2.

Air is drawn in through the air duct 7 through the air duct 7 from the goods receiving space 2 in the direction of the arrows shown here. The fan presses the sucked-in air into the chamber 5 and through the heat exchanger 4 installed therein. On the way through the heat exchanger 4, the air is cooled and returned to the goods receiving area 2.

Thus, openings 26, 27 located in the bottom of the goods receiving space 2, which is also the cover of the substructure 1, serve as air outlet or air inlet, since they are mouths of the associated substructure-side air ducts 7 and 8.

The surface of the lid 11 facing the goods receiving space 2 has a trough-like depression 28 which is covered with a cover plate, which ends at a predetermined distance in front of the front wall 14 and in front of the rear wall 15 to form slot-shaped extensions 30, 31 of the openings 26, 27 for the air inlet and air outlet.

Thus, the air ducts 7, 8 open into the trough-like depression. The separating plate 6 separates the opening area below the cover 29 of a suction-side air duct 7 associated with the air outlet with the opening 26 from the opening region of a pressure-side air duct 8 associated with the air inlet with the opening 27. The slot-shaped extensions extend over the entire length of the goods receiving space and thus roughly across the width of the display case.

Each air duct integrated into a side wall 16 or 16 'is connected in an air-conducting manner to the upper profile 13'. The profile 13 ', like the profiles 13 and 13' '' connected to it in an air-conducting manner, is a hollow profile in which air can flow. The lower profile 13 '' 'is guided with its end region facing the rear wall 15 in the vicinity of the trough-like depression and thus in the vicinity of the slot-shaped extension 30, 31 or the intake air duct 7.

Air, which flows from the interior of the goods receiving space 2 via the lamps 21 to 21 'and then the air duct 24 and the profiles 13', 13 and 13 ''', emerges from the profile 13''' in the area of the intake air duct 7 , The cavities enclosed in the lamps 21 to 21 '''by their housing walls 22 to 22''' are flowed through by the air, which absorbs the heat generated by the luminous elements 23 to 23 '''and removed. The showcase is thus equipped with an advantageous lamp cooling.

Auch siebartige Lochungen sind durchaus möglich.FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section of the display case according to FIG. 1. The same components are identified by the same reference numbers. Fig. 2 illustrates in particular the central arrangement of the openings 32 to 32 '' 'in the lamps 21 to 21' '', in particular in their housing walls. Any breakthrough can be a simple slit. Sieve-like perforations are also quite possible.

In Fig. 3 zeigt eine schematische Ansicht der Vitrine zur Veranschaulichung der den Warenaufnahmeraum 2 kühlenden Luftströme.3 shows a schematic view of the display case to illustrate the air flows cooling the goods receiving space 2.

Cooled air flows under the action of a blower in a constant flow in the direction of arrow 33 from below against the cover plate 29 of the trough-like depression in the cover 11 of the substructure, which is accommodated in the substructure 1, for producing cooled circulating air. The lid 11 is also the bottom of the goods receiving space 2. In the trough-like depression under the cover plate 29, the cooled air is distributed and exits via a slot-shaped extension 31 between the front wall 14 and a baffle 32, which is located on the front edge of the trough-like depression covering cover plate 29 is located. An air curtain of cooled air forms, which flows upwards in front of the front wall 14 and is distributed in the goods receiving space 2. A portion of the air in the goods receiving space 2 enters through openings 32 to 32 '''in the housings of lamps into the cavity which is enclosed by the housing walls of the lamps. In the lamps, the cool air entering flows in the direction of arrows 34 to 34 '''in each Lamp to the end or end faces of the lamp, the interior of the lamp being cooled. The air flow passes from the lamps into air channels 24 and 24 'and then flows back through the profiles 13', 13 and 13 '''each enclosing a side wall, there in particular into the area of the slot-shaped extension 30 of the opening 26, into which the intake air duct 7 opens. This closes the cycle of the cooling circulating air flow, including the encapsulated lamps.
