- Prefabricated strands of plastic are used as plastic spacers from a butyl rubber such as Polyisobutylene known in which a Substance that binds moisture (e.g. molecular sieves), are embedded and in which can be embedded with a corrugated metal band for bracing (EP-B-0 152 807).
- a strand can be glued directly to the glass panels become.
- the insulating glass panes can basically on any of their edges Be pressed beyond the target distance LZR of their two glass sheets. In the case of insulating glass panes which are vertical or approximately vertical assembled and pressed, it is preferred to use them at their lower Edge to press below the target distance LZR of their two glass sheets. This is advantageous because the lower edge of the insulating glass pane in an insulating glass press regardless of the format of the insulating glass pane constant height is arranged, which is determined by a horizontal conveyor is on which the insulating glass panes stand and which is usually Is part of an insulating glass press. Because of the constant altitude The lower edge in relation to the press plates can be the dimension by which the insulating glass pane is pressed because of the change in inclination that occurs the relevant press plate by pressing the lower one Actuators can be determined and controlled more easily.
- Another advantageous option is to use the two glass panels to be pressed to the insulating glass pane, in the insulating glass press each other to be positioned opposite each other in such a way that one of their approximately vertical Margins always at or near one of the approximately vertical edges of the Press plates of the insulating glass press are, so that the over the target dimension edge of the insulating glass pane to be pressed also a constant one Reference position in relation to the press plates results.
- One set up for gas filling Insulating glass press, in which one of the press plates is essentially one vertical axis is pivotable is disclosed in EP 0 406 325 B1.
- the two are used to assemble and press the insulating glass pane Glass panels 1 and 2 approximated, preferably in that one of the two glass sheets is moved, in particular the second glass sheet 2.
- the movement the second glass panel 2 is brought closer to the first glass panel 1 not while maintaining the parallel position of the two glass panels, but rather the second glass sheet 2 of the first glass sheet 1 becomes stronger at a first edge 9 approximated than at the other edges, so that a predetermined at the first edge 9 smallest width b of the spacer 3 is reached at the latest when the second glass sheet 2 on the opposite edge 10 onto the spacer 3 meets, who still has the original width B there.
- the predominant approach of the two glass sheets 1 and 2 against each other in the area of the first edge 9 symbolized by arrow 6.
Abstract
Description
From EP-B-0 152 807 it is known, when assembling insulating glass panes, the glass panels at a distance by a plastic spacer are held and glued together, first the strand-shaped spacer to be applied to a first of the two glass sheets along their edges, whereby between the ends of the spacer in the area of a corner of the glass sheet a gap remains. Then the second sheet of glass becomes congruent with the first Place the glass panel on the spacer and then the two glass panels pressed against each other, creating a firm bond between them becomes; the plastic spacer is compressed when the glass panels approach. Despite the associated reduction in volume between the two glass panels and the spacer is included no overpressure in the insulating glass pane because of the excess air through the gap can escape between the ends of the spacer. If the insulating glass pane is pressed to its target thickness, the gap must be hermetic be closed so that no moisture in the interior of the insulating glass pane can penetrate.
From EP-B-0 152 807 it is known to close the gap in that one with a heated molded body around that corner of the plastic spacer drives around where the gap is, causing the thermoplastic Plastic, from which the spacer is made, softens and the two Connect ends of the strand from which it is formed. In the In practice, however, this leads to problems: If the gap is too wide, connecting the two ends is not possible unless you would Close the gap with additional material. If the gap is too narrow, it hinders Escape of excess air from the interior of the insulating glass pane strong. In any case, the heated surfaces can be used for the butt surfaces not reach between the two ends of the spacer and only Difficult to put pressure on this because you can only place the spacer from the outside can act. The junction between the two ends the spacer is and remains a weak point in the otherwise reliable Sealing the interior of the insulating glass pane.
From DE 42 31 424 C2 it is known to fill the gap between the ends of the spacer do not close until the insulating glass pane has already been assembled and pressed, but even before the second glass sheet with the first Glass panel is connected, on which the plastic spacer initially is applied. This has the advantage that the spacer in the area of the hatches or the gap between the ends of the spacer not only from one Side (the outside), but is accessible from three sides. One can therefore not just from one side, but from two or even three sides act on the spacer, especially with heat, e.g. with warmed Moldings. The ends of the spacer can therefore easily with so much Pressure to be connected to each other that a moisture-tight closure the gap or the gap between the ends of the spacer is guaranteed. By looking at the critical from two or even three sides Point can also heat, which in the case of plastic Spacers commonly used for a thermoplastic material tightly closing the gap is important, much easier and more effectively fed become. This has the further advantage that the time required for sealing the Gap is required, which is small, which means the working speed of an insulating glass production line important is.
Prefabricated strands of plastic, in particular, are used as plastic spacers from a butyl rubber such as Polyisobutylene known in which a Substance that binds moisture (e.g. molecular sieves), are embedded and in which can be embedded with a corrugated metal band for bracing (EP-B-0 152 807). Such a strand can be glued directly to the glass panels become.
In addition, prefabricated ones are known and suitable for the purposes of the invention Strands of a butyl rubber, in which a moisture-binding Substance is embedded and which one-sided, namely on the later outside of the spacer are laminated with an aluminum foil.
Furthermore, it is known from EP 0 782 656 B1 and for the purposes of the invention suitable to form a plastic spacer by one plastic mass, especially a butyl rubber, in which moisture binding substance is embedded, generated in situ, i.e. by means of a nozzle on one of the glass panels along its circumference, beginning and end of the strand are generated complementary wedge-shaped and before the Press the insulating glass overlay so that the plastic spacer is completely formed from the outset.
The problem, however, is a leak when assembling the insulating glass panes excess air from inside the insulating glass pane enable, DE 42 31 424 C2 solves that at least one of the two Glass panels are elastically bent along part of their circumference before assembly is so that when the two glass panels are assembled, between the spacer and one of the glass panels in the area of the bend Gap remains open due to the pressing of the two glass sheets against each other the excess air can escape.
From
From EP 0 615 044 B1 it is known to use a gas filling device Insulating glass press, which has two press plates variable in distance, the two Glass panels from which the insulating glass pane is to be made and from which one is covered with a spacer, initially parallel to each other, perpendicular and unconnected to arrange their space with a heavy gas flooding and then assembling and pressing the insulating glass pane, by moving the one glass sheet against the spacer at the bottom and moved with a delay with the upper edge against the spacer and then pressed in parallel with the other glass sheet.
The present invention has for its object to show a way how insulating glass panes with thermoplastic spacer, which is first applied without gaps to one of the glass panels of the insulating glass panel, without bending one of the glass panels and without having to provide a gap or depression in the spacer without causing a significant overpressure in the insulating glass pane.
Merkmalen. Auf dem gleichen Erfindungsgedanken beruhende Lösungen
sind Gegenstand der nebengeordneten Patentansprüche 2 bis 4. Vorteilhafte
Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche. This object is achieved by a method with those specified in
- The fact that the two glass sheets are first pressed together at only one of their edges, which is referred to here as the first edge, and are brought closer to one another there than corresponds to the target distance provided for the insulating glass pane, which is also referred to as air gap = LZR along this edge, the spacer is bonded particularly intensively and reliably to the two glass panels. This makes it possible to later pull the two glass sheets apart again in the area of their first edge to the predetermined desired distance or to increase their mutual distance in some other way without the risk that the spacer is in places away from one or the other glass sheet solves again.
- An insulating glass pane can be produced in which there is practically no excess pressure with respect to the outside air pressure, without having to be bought through a weak point on the spacer. The overpressure, which may initially arise due to the fact that the insulating glass pane is pressed to the predetermined target distance at its edge opposite the first edge, can be reversed again in that the two glass sheets in the area of their first edge are returned to their target distance LZR be pulled apart. The extent to which the insulating glass pane at its first edge must first be pressed beyond the target dimension for this purpose can easily be estimated; for a rectangular insulating glass pane, it is not more than twice the compression size of the spacer. The upsetting dimension of the plastic spacer is understood to mean the reduction in its original width B which occurs when pressing to the desired distance of the two glass sheets, which is required in order to achieve reliable bonding of the two glass sheets and a tight seal of the insulating glass pane. Suitable compression dimensions are typically 10% to 20% of the target distance, depending on the target distance LZR. According to the invention, the spacer at the first edge of the glass sheets is compressed more, in the order of 20% to 40% of the desired distance LZR, the part of the compression exceeding the desired distance LZR being reversed after the insulating glass pane is closed. This is possible without difficulty because the plastic spacer is usually applied hot and in a viscous-pasty consistency and takes some time to cool and solidify, enough time to carry out the method according to the invention.
- The invention even offers a simple possibility of producing insulating glass panes in a targeted manner with a negative pressure in the interior of the pane. This is advantageous for insulating glass panes that are to be installed in high altitudes with reduced outside air pressure. If insulating glass panes are assembled under the normal air pressure prevailing at sea level and later used in the mountains, where the outside air pressure is lower, then the insulating glass panes bulge and distort the view through them. This can be remedied with the method according to the invention.
- The invention can be carried out with lying glass panels as well as with standing glass panels. It is preferably carried out with upright glass panels because then no sag of the glass panels due to gravity has to be taken into account.
- Neither a gap nor a depression has to be provided in the plastic spacer in order to allow the interior of the pane to be vented during the pressing. Rather, the spacer can be designed from the outset as a closed strand with a constant cross-section, so that there is no procedural weak point which would be particularly susceptible to water vapor diffusion into the pane interior.
- The method according to the invention can be carried out in an insulating glass press which has rigid, variable-distance press plates. Means to bend one of the glass sheets are unnecessary.
- Means for carrying out the method according to the invention in an insulating glass press are already known from EP 0 615 044 B1. An insulating glass press has already been described there, which has two spaced-apart, mutually opposing press plates for carrying out the pressing process, which can be aligned both perpendicularly and parallel to one another and at an acute angle to one another. For this purpose, four actuators, preferably four hydraulic cylinders or four electrically driven spindles, are provided at the four corners of a press plate, of which the upper actuators can be driven separately from the lower actuators. The drive takes place during the pressing process so that initially only the lower actuators of the two press plates are driven at a first predetermined speed and the second upper actuators are driven with a time delay at a second, but higher than the first speed. As a result, the pressing of the insulating glass pane begins at its lower edge and also detects its upper edge with a delay, the pressing process catching up there because of the higher speed until the desired distance LZR of the two glass sheets is reached.
With an insulating glass press constructed in this way, the invention can be achieved Carry out procedure. The provided at the corners of the press plates Actuators, in particular spindles driven by an electric motor, are required only one changed according to the specifications of the present invention Control. The amount by which an insulating glass pane on the first preferably lower edge is first pressed more, the Insulating glass press depending on the type and dimensions of the to be produced insulating glass pane, be it that the compression dimension from the data of a production planning Insulating glass production line can be obtained, or, be it that the Insulating glass press fed glass panels detected by sensors and be measured. Incremental encoders, e.g. with spindles are coupled, which move a press plate, the movement according to the invention of the relevant press plate exactly Taxes.
The process step that the pressing initially only along a first Edge of the glass panels is not to be understood as the two glass panels only approach each other at this first edge and the spacer upsetting and nowhere else; that would not be possible either. Rather, they should Glass panels target each other on their first edge at a distance that is smaller than the target distance is LZR, before approaching the opposite one Edge of the interior of the insulating glass pane is completed.
The insulating glass panes can basically on any of their edges Be pressed beyond the target distance LZR of their two glass sheets.
Another advantageous option is to use the two glass panels to be pressed to the insulating glass pane, in the insulating glass press each other to be positioned opposite each other in such a way that one of their approximately vertical Margins always at or near one of the approximately vertical edges of the Press plates of the insulating glass press are, so that the over the target dimension edge of the insulating glass pane to be pressed also a constant one Reference position in relation to the press plates results. In this case one controls the actuators attached to a movable press plate, that two actuators at two superimposed corners of the press plate lie, switched and controlled the same and the press plate by one swivel vertical axis. One set up for gas filling Insulating glass press, in which one of the press plates is essentially one vertical axis is pivotable is disclosed in EP 0 406 325 B1.
In one embodiment of the invention, the two glass panels on their first pulled apart first or otherwise their mutual Distance increases after being on their opposite edge on their Target distance have been pressed. In this case, the process control particularly easy. One that has occurred in the insulating glass pane in the meantime Excess pressure is subsequently exerted by pulling the two glass panels apart eliminated again.
An embodiment of the invention is particularly advantageous in which the two glass panels are pulled apart on their first edge or on other way their mutual distance is increased after the interior the insulating glass pane closed, the insulating glass pane on the first Edge opposite edge but not yet on the target distance of their two glass sheets has been pressed. This way even the temporary one can Reduced or excessive pressure in the insulating glass pane can be prevented entirely when the two glass panels pull apart its first edge and pressing the insulating glass pane on the opposite Edge occur simultaneously and are coordinated so that the changes the volume of the interior of the insulating glass pane as a result of the pressing and cancel each other out due to the simultaneous pulling apart and both processes are ended at the same time.

The two are used to assemble and press the insulating glass
