Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum automatischen Nachschleifen von mindestens einem an einer umlaufenden Messertrommel angeordneten Messer einer Tabakschneidemaschine, welches Messer während des Betriebes der Tabakschneidemaschine vorgeschoben und von einer zugeordneten Schleifscheibe entsprechend abgeschliffen wird. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß das Drehmoment eines Antriebes der Tabakschneidemaschine erfaßt wird, und daß das mindestens eine Messer in Abhängigkeit von dem erfaßten Drehmoment vorgeschoben wird. Zu diesem Zweck weist die Vorrichtung einen Sensor zum Erfassen des Drehmomentes des Antriebes auf.
