Fume extractor hood according to claim 1, characterised in that the book support (20; 120; 220) on the flat screen (10) is arranged to be pivotable about a horizontal axis of rotation (24; 124), which extends in hood transverse direction, for pivotation between a folded-up book support position and a folded-down basic position (20-2; 20-3; 120-4), in which latter position the flat screen (10) is movable back into the housing (2).
    3. Fume extractor hood according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the book support (20; 220) is constructed for supporting the rear side of an opened book (22) leaned against it obliquely in rearward direction.
    4. Fume extractor hood according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the book support (20; 220) is spaced so far forwardly from the housing (2) when the flat screen (10) is moved out that a book (22) can be arranged therebetween and the front side of the lower book edge can be supported at the rear side of the book support (20; 220) in order to avoid slipping away and the upper edge can be leaned against the housing (2) at an inclination in rearward direction and that the book support (20; 220) has only such a low height in the book support position that it does not cover the text of the opened book (22).
    5. Fume extractor hood according to claim 4, characterised in that the book support (220) is formed by the forward edge region of a recess (44) formed in the upper side (18) of the flat screen (10), wherein the front side of a lower book edge can be supported at this front wall region and the rear side of the upper book edge of the book (22) inclined obliquely in rearward direction can be supported at the housing (2).
    6. Fume extractor hood according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it is arranged to be lowerable into a recess (36; 46) of the flat screen (10).
    7. Fume extractor hood according to claim 1, characterised in that the book support (220) is formed by a stamped portion (44) in the upper side (18) of the flat screen (10).
