- a support device S of electronic tags which has the general shape of a housing having two parts 10, 20 generally rectangular and hinged to each other along one of their large edges.
- Part 10 has a main panel separated into three zones, namely a central zone 12 and two lateral zones 11, 13.
- the lateral zones have, at the level of the large edge opposite the articulation, a tuck-in rim, respectively 14 and 15, while that the middle zone 12 is delimited by a generally semi-circular edge 121 at an intermediate height, to define a notch extending between the zones 11 and 13.
- Zones 11 and 13 also have, in their outer region and close to the associated rim 14, 15, a slightly oblong opening, respectively 116, 136, while immediately inside these openings 116, 136 are two housings in the form of grooves, respectively 115 and 135, of predetermined widths, which are delimited by parallel ribs respectively 113, 114 and 133, 134. These grooves extend between the oblong openings and walls, respectively 111 and 131, which s extend transversely and which separate the central zone 12 from the lateral zones 11 and 13, respectively.
- two parallel chimneys 119, 139 are provided, each defined by two projecting walls, respectively 117, 118 and 137, 138, having facing “L” sections, the free ends of which define slots between them substantially narrower than the width of the chimneys.
- the walls 118, 138 located on the outer side have regularly square slots along said slots spaced apart, 1181 and 1381, respectively, for purposes explained below.
- the chimneys 119, 139 extend substantially over the entire depth of the part 10.
- the part 10 has, at the ends of the edge of the main panel opposite the flanges 14 and 15, two legs 101, 103 projecting inwardly and each provided with a circular hole forming a bearing.
- Part 20 has a generally rectangular shape substantially of the same dimensions as part 10, with a main panel 21 surrounded by two lateral flanges 22, 23 and a longitudinal flange 24 on the side opposite to the articulated connection with part 10.
- the panel 21 is formed a central through opening 211 extending over a substantial part of its depth and extended on one side, in this case towards the lateral edge 22, by two parallel narrow slots 213, 214 which delimit a tab between them flexible 212 provided at its free end, adjacent to the opening 211, with a label locking tooth 2121 projecting outwards (see FIG. 3).
- This tooth is, in the closed position of the parts 10 and 20, subject to a pusher 1110 projecting in the direction of its free end from the panel part 11 of the housing part 10, so as to avoid inadvertent unlocking of the 'electronic tag.
- the part 20 also has, in each of the side edges 22, 23, approximately one third of the length of these edges starting from the edge 24, a notch with semi-circular bottom, respectively 221, 231, extending over the entire height of these edges.
- teeth 241, 242 for locking the device in the closed position, capable of cooperating with recesses (not visible) formed in the internal face of the edges 14, 15 of part 10.
- the part 20 has at the inner end of the side edges 22, 23 two fingers, respectively 222 , 232, forming pivot axes engaged in the holes formed in the tabs 101, 103 of the part.
- the flange 24 extends beyond the plane of the main panel 21 and defines with a flange 25 situated opposite, at the level of the articulation, a housing for a label.
- electronic price display (not shown) of generally parallelepiped shape, for example of the type sold in the "EEG" range By the Applicant.
- the device further comprises an adjustment bar, designated by the reference 30, which is able to cooperate with the part 10 of the device.
- This bar 30 has a central part formed by three sections 31, 32, 33 and two lateral parts 36 and 37, each of these parts having a cross section in the form of a circular shape truncated by a plane.
- the central section 31 of the central part has an extension 311 which is intended to extend in the space extending between the two chimneys 119, 139 of the part 10.
- the sections 32 and 33 extend in line with the rear split sides of said chimneys, and each have a tab, respectively 321, 331, which is capable of engaging in the associated slot and of cooperating with the slots bordering this slot, respectively. 1181, 1381, to allow the height of the bar to be adjusted relative to part 10.
- the lateral parts 36 and 37 are connected to the central part by re-entrant connecting parts 34, 35, respectively, so that these lateral parts extend against the zones 11 and 13.
- FIG. 5 illustrates a first type of pin 40
- angled pin (so-called angled pin), produced by bending a metal rod and whose end region has a intermediate oblique section 41 followed by a terminal section 42 which extends perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the spindle.
- the length and orientation of the oblique section are such that the longitudinal axis of the spindle crosses the terminal section substantially in the middle.
- FIG. 6 illustrates another type of spindle 40 (so-called “T” spindle), which simply has a cross member 43, of smaller cross section, welded at its free end and centered on the spindle.
- T spindle
- FIGS. 7 and 8 the essentially tamper-proof assembly and the adjustment of a support device S according to the invention on the end of a spindle as shown in FIG. 5.
- the spindle is threaded through the opening 136 of the part 10, and oriented so that its end part 42 is received in the grooves 115 and 135, which are slightly oversized compared to the (standard) diameter of the spindle.
- the housing is then closed by pivoting the parts 10 and 20, and the locking in this closed position is carried out by light pressure, using the locking teeth 241, 242 and the corresponding recesses. During this closing, the free end region of the terminal part 42 of the spindle is received in the notch 221 of the part 20.
- the relative height of the terminal portion 42 of the spindle relative to the device is fixed using the grooves 115, 135, without however in principle prohibiting relative rotation of the two elements around the axis of said end portion 42, and the adjustment bar is then used to adjust the relative orientation of the device S relative to the axis of the spindle. More precisely, by modifying the height of the bar 30 relative to the housing 10, 20, one can play on the height of the intermediate part 41 of the spindle, which rests on the part 37 of said bar immediately after it leaves opening 136, the angular position, obtained by simple gravity effect, of the housing 10, 20 is adjusted relative to the axis of the spindle.
- the adjustment of the height of the bar 30 relative to the housing part 10 can be carried out very simply and at any time in as many discrete positions as in intervals between the slots 1181, 1381, maintaining of the bar at the desired height being effected by elastic engagement of the legs 321, 331 in the intervals between the slots, in the manner of a rack, and the displacement of the bar being effected by manually forcing its movement, by exerting for example a push on the bar 30 so that its legs can disengage from the slots 1181 and 1381 and pass from one interval to another. No disassembly, even partial, of the device is not required, nor is it necessary to add special wedging parts to the device.
- the inclination of the device, and therefore of the electronic label that it is intended to carry, is advantageously adjusted as a function of the height at which the pin 40 is located in a shelving unit, in particular so that the label offers its face front clearly visible in counter-diving view when it is placed in height, and clearly visible in diving view when it is placed close to the ground.
- FIGS. 9 and 10 illustrate the mounting of a support device according to the invention at the end of a "T" pin as illustrated in FIG. 6.
- the latter is simply positioned so that its central body extends into the notch surmounting the zone 12 of the main panel of the part 10, and that the two lateral branches of its crosspiece 43 are positioned in the respective grooves 115 and 135.
- the housing parts are then closed and locked, in the same manner as above, and the adjustment of the inclination of the device relative to the spindle is again performed here by modifying the height of the adjustment bar 30, against the extension 311 from which the spindle rests while its crosspiece is immobilized (with possibly a non-detrimental play) in the grooves 115, 135.
- the device described can receive other types of pins for presenting articles, and this either as it is, or with additional adaptations which are necessary.
