Description

The invention relates to a flat knitting machine with at least a needle bed and at least one along the minimum a movable needle bed and at least one functional element movable along the at least one needle bed, especially a thread guide (see EP-A-709506).

In flat knitting machines, the thread guides and others Functional elements such as strippers or the like in the As a rule by rigid entrainment devices connected to the sled driven. These takeaways point controlled pawls that attack the functional elements and this in the same direction and with the same Move speed like the sled with it. This Lifting devices on the sledge, however, hinder access from above to the needle chamber, so that they cannot be used everywhere are.

Flat knitting machines are also known which operate independently have driven thread guides. In these known machines the thread guides also slide onto the known one Thread guide rails, but are connected with a toothed belt, which is driven by an electric motor. There a Thread guide around the middle of the knitting lock in every knitting direction has to follow a precisely defined distance Flat knitting machines a complex control of the electric motors necessary for the thread guides. The engines themselves have to be able to accelerate very quickly and are therefore expensive.

The present invention has for its object a Flat knitting machine with a drive for functional elements how to create thread guides that have no additional motors required, but also not rigidly connected to the sled Driving equipment required.

The task is started with a flat knitting machine mentioned type according to the invention solved in that the at least one functional element by the slide drive can be driven synchronously with the at least one slide. The The slide drive now also drives one or more functional elements without a direct connection between the slide and the functional element are manufactured got to.

The carriage drive can preferably have at least one driver element drive synchronously to the at least one sled, that engages with the at least one functional element is feasible. This driver element is not with the Connected sled, but can for example in one Rail guided parallel to the at least one needle bed his. The at least one driver element can, for example by means of a chain coupled to the slide drive, a belt or a rope can be driven. It can Driving element expediently on one over two deflection rollers guided endless chain or an endless toothed belt arranged be, with at least one of the pulleys of the Motor shaft of the carriage drive can be driven. This poses a structurally extremely simple synchronous drive option one or more driver elements.

Especially if the functional element is a Thread guide is at least one driver element can be driven in synchronism with the at least one carriage be that its vertical central axis is aligned with the vertical Central axis of the knitting system of the at least one carriage coincides. This allows the required after-running of the Thread guide by a defined distance from the center of the slide in the conventional way thanks to a correspondingly wide cut-out of the thread guide box are guaranteed.

The at least one driver element can also have several Functional elements can be brought into engagement. It can do this for example one or more adjustable and controllable slide have in their functional position on stop surfaces on the at least one functional element attack.

Not only driver elements, but also other functional elements of a flat knitting machine, such as scissors, adjustable Stop elements, scraper or also Kulier- or Kulier control elements be moved synchronously with the slide.

The following is an embodiment of a drive device for a thread guide of a flat knitting machine according to the invention described in more detail with reference to the drawing.

Der Mitnehmer 2 ist dabei fest mit dem Treibriemen 3 verbunden, der als Endlosriemen ausgeführt und über zwei Umlenkräder 6 und 7 geführt ist, wie Fig. 1 zeigt.1 shows a thread guide rail 1 in a side view, which are parallel and spaced above the apex of one or several needle beds, not shown here, is arranged. As the sectional view of Fig. 3 shows, it points to hers Front and back dovetail guides 12 and 13 as Guideways for thread guide boxes, which are not described here are shown. In addition, the guide rail 1 has a Guideway 14 for a driver element 2, here a thread guide driver, on the one in the example shown Flat guide is. However, this guide 14 can also be any other have a suitable shape. There is a recess on the bottom 15 arranged for a drive belt 3 for the driver 2. The driver 2 is fixed to the drive belt 3 connected, which is designed as an endless belt and via two deflection wheels 6 and 7 is guided, as shown in FIG. 1.

The driver 2 is designed so that it the guide surface 14 of the thread guide rail 1 encloses and longitudinally displaceable is arranged on this. As Fig. 3 shows, he points two side slides 21 and 22, the slider 21 in its inactive position and the slide 22 in Activity position is shown. Both sliders will by a switching device, not shown, in or outside Brought activity. In the activity position, the slides engage 21 and 22 into the thread guide box and guide it thereby with when the drive belt 3 is moved.

The drive belt 3 is driven by the drive wheel 6, with another drive belt or chain 9 the shaft 30 of a drive motor, not shown for a carriage 50 (Fig. 1) is connected. The sled 50 itself is also via a drive belt 51st driven, which is designed as an endless belt. How 2 shows the carriage drive belt 51 and the drive belt 3 of the driver 2 in different vertical Layers arranged. This is achieved in that the connecting strap 9 between the drive for the carriage 50 and the drive for the driver 2 via a on the motor shaft 30 arranged gear 31 is guided laterally to the gear 32 is offset, over which the carriage drive belt 51 is guided is. The connecting belt 9 is on the driver side guided over a pulley 8, which on the same shaft 4 as the pulley 6 sits over which the drive belt 3 for the Carrier 2 is guided. To a synchronous drive between To ensure the carriage and carrier 2, the wheels 32 and 6 and the wheels 31 and 8 each the same Have effective diameter. The driver 2 is so on Driving belt 3 arranged that its vertical central axis 55th with the vertical central axis 55 of the knitting system of the Sled 50 falls together. This ensures that when the carriage 50 moves a distance A into one Position 50 'also the driver 2 and one acted upon by him Thread guide around route A to position 2 ' advanced.

Of course, several driver elements can also be used in this way 2 powered, either all on the Rail 1 or guided on further parallel rails could be. The driver 2 can at least as many sliders 21, 22 have knitting systems on the machine are. This then requires a relatively long driver 2. Alternatively, several shorter driver elements can also be used 2 be attached to the drive belt 3, each of which have only two slides 21, 22.

Instead of the belt coupling 9 between the carriage 50 and the carrier 2 could also be a chain coupling or gear coupling be provided. Besides, it is not necessary that Drive for the carriage 50 and the driver 2 in the form of Form endless belts. The drive can be, for example also by means of a finite rope or a chain by winding and unwinding.
