Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for controlling the Tear length ratio of a paper web produced Change in microturbulence in the area of Headbox nozzle.
- the invention further relates to a Paper machine with a headbox to carry out of the method according to the invention is suitable.
- this represents Tear length ratio of a paper web an essential Property and quality criteria of a manufactured
- the tear length ratio L / Q is the ratio between the tear length L in the longitudinal direction and the tear length Q in the transverse direction of a paper web.
- the tear length adjusts Measure of the tear strength of the paper. This dimension gives how long a strip of paper can be until it is under the Tears off the weight of his own weight. If you determine that Tear length both in the longitudinal direction of the paper web and in Transverse direction of the paper web and forms the ratio to each other, you get the ratio of tearing length designated dimensionless value number L / Q.
- the tear length ratio L / Q should be in one if possible Range of 1 so that the tear strength of the paper is as constant as possible in all directions.
- This method according to the invention makes it possible to certain tear length ratio L / Q for a paper web to specify the current value during the Manufacturing process to measure and by appropriate Measures the microturbulence in the area of the headbox nozzle to change and adjust so that the paper the Desired tear length ratio L / Q reached, and this remains constant during the production process. Since the Microturbulence the orientation of the fibers in the paper web significantly affected, and this orientation of the fibers that Rip length ratio can be significantly influenced by Change in microturbulence in the desired direction too the tear length ratio changed and during the process be managed.
- the microturbulence in the area of the headbox nozzle can be caused by different measures are changed, for example can additional turbulence generators in Headbox area to be attached, or injections of Air or liquid or the like can be made.
- the preferred measure is that the headbox with at least one slidable Separating lamella is equipped and the change of Microturbulence due to a displacement of the separating lamella in Machine direction is done.
- the displacement of the separating lamella causes a change in the cross section in the exit area the headbox nozzle and thus a change in Wall effects in the flow, which in turn is microturbulence produce.
- the tear length ratio L / Q in the paper machine is preferably determined using the ultrasound method.
- an ultrasonic transmitter is arranged at the measuring point and, at a certain distance from it, a sound receiver is arranged in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the web, in contact or in close proximity to the paper web.
- the paper web is set in vibration with the measuring transmitter at regular intervals by short ultrasonic pulses.
- the time between the sending and receiving of the pulse by the two receivers in the longitudinal and transverse directions is measured simultaneously and the sound velocities v L and v Q of the pulse in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the paper web are calculated therefrom.
- the determination of the tear length ratio L / Q from v L and v Q is based on the fact that there is a very good correlation between the stiffness (ratio of stretch length of a paper strip due to a certain tensile force) and the tear length of the paper web.
- the stiffness can be calculated from the respective speed of sound based on physical laws. This gives a useful approximation of the breaking length ratio by taking the square of the fraction of v L and v Q with: L / Q ⁇ (v L / v Q ) 2nd .
- the headbox is equipped with a separating lamella, so becomes the separating lamella if the tear length ratio is too low L / Q against the machine direction and if it is too big Tear length ratio L / Q in the machine direction postponed.
- By moving the slat in Machine direction is a cross-sectional reduction in Leaving area of the headbox causes a Increases microturbulence and vice versa.
- the tear length ratio L / Q act is measured as a transverse profile over the machine width and the micro turbulence is changed / regulated sectionally over the machine width.
- the cross-section measurement can also be carried out by at least one measuring point which can be moved in the cross-machine direction.
- each measuring point for their section delivers continuous longitudinal profile.
- the measurement of the cross profile by means of movable measuring points or sensors are the sensors during the Operation shifted in the cross machine direction, so that at Measured values exist at every point of the paper web, but these exist at different times, so that the measured cross profile not an actual cross profile, but represents an oblique profile of the paper web.
- the inventors propose to coincide with the Influencing microturbulence in the area of Headbox the difference in speed between the free jet emerging from the nozzle and the sieve in cheaper to set.
- the inventors furthermore propose a paper machine with a headbox with at least one headbox nozzle to form a fluid fibrous layer and at least one means for influencing the microturbulence of the stock suspension flowing out of the headbox nozzle, furthermore a means for measuring the tear length ratio L / Q act of the paper web on the running web, a means for comparing the current tear length ratio L / Q act with a predetermined tear length ratio L / Q before and determining the deviation, and a means for regulating / controlling the intensity of the microturbulence in the area of the headbox nozzle as a function of the tear length ratio L / Q of the paper web produced, the microturbulence being increased if the current tear length ratio L / Q act is greater than the predetermined tear length ratio L / Q before , and the microturbulence in Area of the headbox nozzle is reduced if the current tear length ratio L / Q act is smaller than the predetermined tear length ratio L / Q before .
- An embodiment of the paper machine according to the invention further provides that the at least one means for influencing the microturbulence is at least one displaceable separating lamella within the headbox and the means for measuring the tear length ratio L / Q act of the paper web is an ultrasound measuring device.
- the necessary adjustment devices for the movable separating lamella reference is made, for example, to published patent application DE 197 15 789 A1. Another adjustment device is shown in FIG. 1, which will be explained later.
- the inventors also suggest that the means for comparing the current breaking length ratio L / Q act with a predetermined breaking length ratio L / Q before and for determining the deviation is a processor with an appropriate program.
- the means for regulating / controlling the intensity of the microturbulence in the area of the headbox nozzle as a function of the tear length ratio L / Q of the paper web produced can be a processor with a computer program, the algorithm of which realizes at least one of the above-mentioned method claims.
- FIG. 1 shows a headbox 1 known per se C-clamp construction with a sliding separating plate 1.1.
- the headbox nozzle through the nozzle top wall 1.2 and the Nozzle lower wall 1.3 is formed by two rows of Turbulence channels 1.4 and 1.5 fed with stock suspension.
- this headbox nozzle is a separating lamella 1.1, which is arranged to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction.
- the Movement of the separating lamella takes place by loading a pressure chamber 1.6 with a pressure medium which against the spring 1.8 arranged on the opposite side acts and thereby the intermediate piece 1.7 with the Separating lamella 1.1 in the desired direction in the machine direction can move.
- the separating lamella 1.1 has a Flow direction converging cross-section.
- FIG. 2 shows a paper machine with a headbox 1, which corresponds to the embodiment from FIG. 1.
- the Headbox 1 is sectional with stock suspension streams loaded via the control valves 10 and 11 sectionally can be controlled or regulated.
- the headbox 1 creates a fluid fibrous layer on a sieve or between two sandwich-like ones Sieves are abandoned and dewatered in the wire section 2.
- the material web is then pressed in the Press section 3 and drying the finished paper web in the dryer section 4 and the winding of the paper web in the Winding device 6.
- the 5.1 has, for example, an ultrasonic sensor Tear length ratio of the paper web at this point measures and via a data line 8 to a control device 7 forwards.
- the control device 7 has means 9 - for example, a program module - which compares the measured tensile ratio L / Q act with a predetermined breaking length ratio L / Q before, which is stored in a memory 12. In accordance with the difference between the predetermined breaking length ratio and the currently measured breaking length ratio, a command is forwarded to an actuating device 13 which actuates an actuator 14 which adjusts the separating lamella 1.1 in the headbox 1 in accordance with the invention.
- actuating device 13 which actuates an actuator 14 which adjusts the separating lamella 1.1 in the headbox 1 in accordance with the invention.
- the control mechanism can also be advantageous be designed so that the size of the adjustment the separating lamella 1.1 on the size of the deviation of the Tear length ratio from the desired tear length ratio oriented or that it is directly proportional to it.
- FIG. 3 shows a paper machine similar to FIG. 2, however, in this case, the separation lamella of the headbox 1 divided into several parts 1.1.1-1.1.3.
- the measuring frame 5 are also a corresponding number of measuring points 5.1 to 5.3 available.
- the regulatory mechanism corresponds in principle to that Control mechanism that was described in FIG. 2, however, each individual measuring point 5.1 to 5.3 also assigned a segment of the slat 1.1 to 1.3 and this regulated in sections and the actuators 14.1 - 14.3 for the Adjustment of the segments of the separating lamella separately controlled.
- This version offers the possibility especially undesirable border effects influence, so that even the Tear length ratio over the web width can be achieved can.
- FIG. 4 finally shows an embodiment of a paper machine with sectioned separating lamellae in headbox 1, similar to FIG. 3.
- a single sensor with a measuring point 5.1 for measuring the tear length ratio L / Q act over the paper web.
- the measuring point 5.1 is designed to be movable over the machine width and, according to the invention, travels over the web width during operation and in this way measures a tear length ratio cross profile of the paper web. This is passed on to the control device 7, which enables a targeted, section-wise setting of the separating lamella segments 1.1.1 to 1.1.3.
- the control device 7 which enables a targeted, section-wise setting of the separating lamella segments 1.1.1 to 1.1.3.
- the mean value of the tear length ratio over the entire machine width can be determined and this mean value is used as the tear length ratio L / Q act to regulate the setting of a machine-wide separating lamella 1.1 can be.
