Other method is to fix the mesh to the surface of the construction element and then pouring onto it a mortar or other lining mix. Another application is the finishing of prefabricated construction elements or wet process elements made on site, as e.g. concrete or reinforced concrete elements. Properly designed mesh, in this case fixed inside of the forming mould, e.g. in a formwork, is filled with concrete mix. In order to obtain e.g. a multicolour plaster surface, after setting of mortar or other ground layer, it is advantageous to cover them additionally with paint coatings.

  • the shape of the mesh may be based on traditional geometric figures, i. e. circles, ellipse, polygons, etc. , while the mesh characterises with the fact that it has a determined thickness, having a significant role in forming of plaster surface and the way of surface making, i.e. gives the thickness of the surface quality while determining the degree of embedding of the mesh in the mortar.
  • the term mesh covers also meshes with zero area holes, i.e. continuous coats.
  • the proposed system of plaster and lining finishing prefers fractal, multifractal and quasi-fractal shapes.
  • One of possible spatial constructions of mesh is the mesh with spatial warp, with applied drops of mortar.
  • Another kind of this forming mesh type is a mesh creating a net made of an irregular elastic warp, with embedded mineral grains.
  • Another pattern of mesh is a monomaterial mesh with spatial plate structure.
  • Another example of mesh is also a monomaterial mesh with bubble structure.
