Claims (17)

  1. Folder for a web-fed rotary printing machine, substantially comprising at least one longitudinal folding former (3; 4), at least one folding-blade cylinder (26) and at least one folding-jaw cylinder (28) associated with the folding-blade cylinder (26), characterized in that an axis of rotation (39) of the first folding-jaw cylinder (28), as viewed in the production direction, is arranged above a horizontal line (42) running through a lower end of a nose (41) which is oriented downwards and belongs to the longitudinal folding former (3; 4).
  2. Folder according to Claim 1, characterized in that the longitudinal folding former (3; 4) is assigned former folding rolls (14; 16), and in that the axis of rotation (39) of the folding-jaw cylinder (28) is arranged above axes of rotation of the former folding rolls (14; 16).
  3. Folder according to Claim 1, characterized in that a stream (12; 13) of a plurality of material webs or one material web is input to the folding-blade cylinder (26) below the axis of rotation (38) of the latter.

Folder according to Claim 9, characterized in that a straight line (47) defined by the axis of rotation (38) of the folding-blade cylinder (26) and the axis of rotation (39) of the folding-jaw cylinder (28), and a horizontal line (48) through the axis of rotation (38) of the collecting cylinder (26) form an opening angle (gamma) of from 30° to 60°.
  12. Folder according to Claim 9, characterized in that the cylinder folding group (1) comprises a collecting cylinder (26) with a cutting-blade cylinder (27) arranged underneath it, a folding-jaw cylinder (28) and a delivery device (29).

  15. Folder according to Claims 12 to 14, characterized in that the delivery device (29) in each case comprises a paddle deliverer (31) and a conveying device (32).
