Abstract

The lock has a support part (1) spacing a lock box base in relation to a lock cover (4). The support part has a middle part determining the distance between the lock box base and the lock cover, together with end parts (17) which extend through break-throughs formed in the lock box base and the lock cover. The height of the support part together with the height of the middle part produces a total height, which corresponds to the width of the lock pocket. At least one lock pocket support (30) has a height corresponding to the width of the lock pocket and is externally fixed to the side wall of the lock box (3) located in the vicinity of the closure area.

Description

The invention relates to a mortise lock, in particular for interior and apartment doors.

Such mortise locks are generally known. They include a fixed housing consisting of a lock case, lock cover and faceplate, in which the movable lock parts, such as. B. bolts, latch, nut, etc. are stored with a clearance fit. Through the action of external forces, particularly when fastening the locks in the lock pockets of the doors, forces which act on the lock case and the lock cover from outside, especially as transverse forces, and deform them somewhat, can impair the fit of the game and thereby the function of the lock disturb or make it impossible.

This problem is particularly acute for mortise locks for doors which are equipped with rosette fittings, because the lock pocket walls for interior doors and apartment doors are relatively thin, and the rosettes used as fittings press onto a relatively small area when screwed on, as a result of which the lock pocket walls themselves are deformed and press on the lock case and the lock cover and can lead to deformations that disrupt or block the function of the lock. If there is a greater play between the outer surfaces of the lock case and the lock cover and the inner surfaces of the lock pocket walls, this can be done without problems Installation and removal of the locks is desired, there is also the risk that the lock pocket walls collapse when screwing on the rosettes, especially when using screwdrivers with a torque that is set too high or when the screws are tightened without feeling using a screwdriver.

In order to prevent the deformation of the lock cover relative to the lock case and thereby to ensure the clearance tolerances of the movable components mounted between the lock cover and the lock case bottom, it has long been known in locks with a screwed lock cover to provide support pillars or support bushes at the screwing points between the inner surfaces of the lock cover and lock case , and to press beads and ribs into the surfaces of the lock cover and lock case for reinforcement.

From DE-U 29 509 864.3 it is also known to arrange at least one additional support part which is spaced apart from the lock case base in relation to the lock cover and which can also protrude outward from the lock case and the lock cover in order to support the walls of the lock pocket and to compress the lock pocket to reduce or prevent their collapse. Although the support bushings and pillars as well as the additionally arranged support parts according to DE-U 29 509 864.3 in the areas in which they do not hinder the function of the movable components represent excellent protection against a relative deformation of the lock cover relative to the lock case base, and according to DE-U 29 509 864.3 used additional support parts, if they protrude outwards, can even largely prevent the risk of the lock pocket breaking in, their arrangement at some points within the lock is not possible for reasons of space. Such a place is e.g. B. the locking area of the lock, in which enough space must remain to turn the key bit or the bit of the profile cylinder.

However, this area in particular is particularly at risk of deformation, because rosettes are often used here as door fittings, and they are fastened by bracing the front and rear rosette against the outer surfaces of the door leaf. This tensioning can, as mentioned, due to excessive presetting of the screwdriver torque or by senseless tightening with a screwdriver, a relatively high pressure between the rosettes, which is exerted on the door leaf. Since the known additional supports cannot be used in the lock area of the lock, the high pressure exerted between the rosettes on the lock pocket can result in the lock cover and the lock case deforming relative to one another. This can not only impair or block the function of the lock, but it can also lead to such deformation of the lock pockets that the cover layers of the door leaf collapse in the lock area and render the entire door unusable. The latter danger is exacerbated if the lock pockets have a positive tolerance range relative to the thickness of the lock, which is advantageous in order to be able to insert the lock into the lock pocket without problems. There is therefore a more or less large distance between the inner surfaces of the lock pocket and the outer surfaces of the lock, which is pressed together if the rosettes are improperly tightened before the pressure acts on the lock case and lock cover. As a result, the cover layers of the door leaf are particularly at risk of burglary in the closing area because the additional supports according to DE-U 29 509 864.3 cannot be used here.

It is therefore an object of the invention to develop a mortise lock in which the risk of the cover layers of the door leaf collapsing when the rosettes are screwed on is further reduced and the possibility of relative deformation of the lock case and lock cover to one another is also substantially restricted in the closing area.

The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are characteristic of the subclaims.

  • Figur 1 zeigt ein erfindungsgemäßes Einsteckschloß in perspektivischer Darstellung;
  • Figur 2 zeigt ein erfindungsgemäßes Einsteckschloß in Draufsicht, in Seitenansicht sowie in einer Schnittansicht in Richtung der Pfeile A-A;
The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment in conjunction with FIGS. 1 to 4.
  • Figure 1 shows a mortise lock according to the invention in a perspective view;
  • Figure 2 shows a mortise lock according to the invention in plan view, in side view and in a sectional view in the direction of arrows AA;
  • FIG. 3 shows a special embodiment of a support part for the pusher area; and
  • Figure 4 shows an example of a lock pocket support according to the invention for the locking area on an enlarged scale.

In Figure 1, a mortise lock according to the invention is shown in perspective view. The lock includes the lock case 3, and a lock cover 4, between which the moving components, e.g. B. a latch 6 and a bolt 8 are rotatably or slidably mounted. The lock also includes a known, the lock case base spaced from the lock cover supporting part 1, which is provided with end parts 17, 18 which protrude through openings in the lock case base and in the lock cover, and thereby can support the inner surfaces of the lock pocket walls against each other. As is shown in FIG. 3, the known support part 1 is shaped in such a way that it also serves as a roof-like shield against the ingress of chips falling into the locking system from above.

When installing the locks, the lock is only removed in the rarest of cases before drilling the required hardware openings in the lock pocket walls. When drilling the hardware breakthroughs in the area of the lock nut, chips can get into the lock and fall into the locking system, where they can disrupt or hinder the function of the lock. The special design of the support part 1 as a roof-like shield, as shown in FIG. 3, prevents chips from penetrating into the locking system when drilling through the fittings.

The lock further comprises a lock pocket support 30 according to the invention, which is fastened to the outside on a side wall 31 of the lock case 3, which is located in the vicinity of the locking area of the lock. The lock pocket support 30 is arranged in such a way that its height expansion HS (see FIG. 2) runs parallel to the height expansion H of the support part 1.

In Figure 1 is also indicated that the rosettes 40 by means of (not shown) screws through openings 41 in the lock cover and lock case bottom with (not shown) counter rosettes, which are provided with corresponding internal threads, screwed. While the lock pockets and locks were previously largely protected against deformation in the area of the nut by the support part 1 with its end parts 17, 18 protruding through the openings in the lock case base and lock cover, a lock pocket support 30 according to the invention only remedies in the locking area.

A dargestellt.FIG. 2 shows the preferred embodiment of a mortise lock according to the invention in a top view (in which the lock cover is removed) and in a side view and in a sectional view A-A.

In the sectional view A-A, all parts which are not essential for the understanding of the invention have been left out of the lock.

In the plan view of FIG. 2 it can be clearly seen how two fastening elements 33 of the lock pocket support 30 are slidably fastened in the side wall 34 of the lock case 3. The fastening elements 33 consist of tab-like foot parts 35, which have a length that corresponds to the sheet thickness of the side wall 34 of the lock case 3, and head parts 36, which are arranged at the upper end of the foot parts 35 at an angle. The foot parts 35 of the lock pocket support 30 are inserted into the side wall of the lock case 3, slots 37 which are open at the top and are inserted before the lock cover is put on. The laterally angled head parts 36 prevent the foot parts 35 from slipping out of the slots 37. After the lock cover 4 has been put on, the lock pocket support 30 is prevented from slipping out of the slots 37 which are open towards the top. Instead of the angled head parts 36 which can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 4, the fastening part can also have head parts 36 which protrude on both sides or which are otherwise thickened and which likewise keep the foot parts displaceable in the slots. The displaceable arrangement of the lock pocket support 30 avoids overdetermining the position of the lock relative to the position of the lock pocket. The lock pocket support 30 effectively prevents the lock pocket from being compressed when the fastening screws for the rosettes are tightened. For the correct position of the castle in the lock pocket of the door leaf, however, only the support part 1 with the end parts 17, 18 projecting through the lock case base and the lock cover, which hold the outside of the lock case base and the lock cover at a certain distance from the inner walls of the lock pocket, and the fastening of the cuff. The lock pocket support 30 only keeps the lock pocket walls at a distance due to its displaceable arrangement, but, in contrast to the support part 1, does not result in a specific distance between the outside of the lock case bottom and the lock cover from the inner walls of the lock pocket. This avoids that due to an over-determination when determining the position of the lock in the lock pocket any bending moments are exerted on the lock case and the lock cover, which could also lead to malfunctions of the movable components stored between the lock cover and the lock case bottom.

On the substantially cuboid body 31 of the lock pocket support 30, the foot parts 35 are arranged, which have a length 1, which corresponds approximately to the sheet thickness of the side wall 34 of the lock case 3. Following the length 1 of the foot part, angled or thickened head parts 36 are arranged, which hold the foot parts in the fastening openings 37 designed as slots in the side wall 34 of the lock case 3. The foot parts 35 have a height h which is greater than their width b, but less than about half the total height of the side wall 34 of the lock case 3. As a result, the foot parts 35 are displaceable in the fastening openings 37 in the form of slots, and thereby hold only those The inside of the lock pocket walls are spaced apart, but they do not determine the distances between the outside of the lock case base and lock cover and the inside of the lock pocket walls.

In order to facilitate the sliding of the lock pocket support 30 when the lock is pushed into the lock pocket, the longitudinal and transverse edges 51, 52 of the body 31 are chamfered or rounded.

The lock pocket support 30 is preferably made in one piece from plastic, polyamide being preferably used as the plastic also by admixture, e.g. B. can be reinforced by glass fibers. Preferably about 20% glass fibers are added to the plastic.

The lock pocket support can of course also be made of a different material, have a different external shape and can also be connected in a different way than described above to a side wall of the lock case located in the vicinity of the lock area of the lock.
