Eventuell über den Zwischenspalt 10 zwischen dem oberen Schachtabschnitt 2 und dem unteren Auslaßabschnitt 3 austretende Tabakfasern werden von einer am ortsfesten Schachtabschnitt 2 befestigten Abschirmung 14 aufgefangen und nach unten auf die Stiftwalze 4 geleitet, so daß eine Staubentwicklung und ein Tabakverlust unterbunden werden.
Es hat sich überraschenderweise gezeigt, daß auch eine relativ hohe in Vibration versetzte Tabaksäule in Verbindung mit einem oberseitig bzw. am Einlaßende des ortsfesten Schachtabschnitts 2 und gegebenenfalls zusätzlich am Zwischenspalt 10 offenen Stauschacht 1 ein in der Höhe bzw. in Staurichtung quasi atmendes Tabakvolumen entstehen läßt, welches die Ausbildung einer fließenden Wirbelschicht am Schachtauslaß unterstützt bzw. erst ermöglicht.

Mit diesen baulichen und antriebstechnischen Spezifikationen ergibt sich eine bestmögliche Befüllung der Stiftwalze 304.
