Description

Verfahren und Einrichtung zur Bildung eines Schuppenstromes überlappter SendungenMethod and device for the formation of a shingled stream overlapped programs

The invention relates to a method and a device for Formation of a shingled stream of overlapped flat mail items, the with their long sides between lateral guide means be fed in and out.

Overlapped items are e.g. advantageous for space-saving Transport of the consignments in sorting machines or secure Stacking in stacking compartments, in which an accumulation of the next shipment avoided on the trailing edge of the preceding shipment shall be.

  • A solution has become known (DE 37 23 259 C2) in which, in order to avoid a mail jam when stacking, a secondary conveyor line with switches is provided next to the main conveyor line. In this arrangement, two successive programs overlap. Two variants are possible:
  • 1. A second consignment takes a shorter route than a first consignment, which means that depending on the consignment length and the gap, the consignments may overlap to different degrees at a merge.
  • 2. A second shipment is transported at a higher speed than a first shipment. If the speed can be controlled, a constant overlap can be achieved on a merge.
No continuous scale flow can be generated with this. Another disadvantage is the relatively high cost. In the sequence sorter SLS for letters from Elsag Bailey, Genoa becomes a continuous or discontinuous stream of broadcasts of individual shipments from a second conveyor system accepted. This works with constant in start-stop mode Steps. The following program is on the placed in front so that the leading edge of the mail is always braked in the same position and then the resulting scale is transported a constant distance becomes. The resulting stream of shed shows one constant distance between the front edges of the consignment.

To avoid collision with the rear edges of the To prevent preceding shipments, the shipments meet the second conveyor system at an acute angle, the trailing edge of the consignment the resulting triangle have to release in time.

Because shipments of different formats are processed should be geared towards the long programs with their large free areas there is a correspondingly large gap be, since the rear edges of the long mailings by their Mass inertia and inherent rigidity are relatively slow Clear the entry triangle, which results in a low throughput Consequence, or it must be a corresponding, expensive auxiliary device for quick release of the weft triangle the trailing edges, e.g. Stacking spindle (DE-OS 33 17 865) or pressure roller (DE-OS 37 00 827) can be used.

The invention specified in independent claims 1 and 3 the problem is based on a process and an establishment to form a shingled stream of overlapped mail items from a stream of isolated flat elastic mail items to create the one with little equipment enable high throughput.

The advantage of the solution according to the invention is that regardless of the length of the shipment, the overlap length the choice of the trailing edges as a reference value for the control is always the same.

The free back section of the preceding broadcast will chosen so short that the formation of the weft triangle as a result shipment elasticity happens as quickly as possible, but at the same time running onto the trailing edges of the leading Shipments is avoided.

In the advantageous embodiment according to claim 2 preceding shipment with the stream of shed shortly before arrival the following broadcast set in motion, so that in When the consignments hit the same speed. This prevents the consignments from being compressed. The device specified in claim 3 has using of guide belts a reliable and cost-saving Building on.

According to claim 4, it is advantageous to avoid installation difficulties a light barrier to determine the Stop and start signals for the driven pulley inside to arrange the guide means for feeding.

Dabei zeigen:

The invention is then explained in more detail in an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawings. Show:
    FIG. 1
2 shows a side view of a device for forming a shingled stream for a stacking compartment,
    FIG 2

Ein Führungsbandsystem als Zuführmittel 3, bestehend aus über Umlenkrollen geführten elastischen Führungsbändern, führt die einzelnen nachfolgenden Sendungen 2 der Einrichtung zu.A guide belt system as a feed means 3, consisting of over Deflection rollers guided elastic guide bands, which leads individual subsequent programs 2 of the facility.

This consists of a first guide band 4 which overlaps Shipments transported up to a stop 6. This Guide belt 4 is facing away from the stacking point Side driven via a guide roller 5 in the start-stop mode. At the deflection roller 5 there is a second one two guide rollers guided endless guide belt 7, the is also directed to the stacking point.

This second guide band projects over the first guide band against the stacking movement to support the rear Part of the preceding broadcast.

The rear of the consignment is covered by a light barrier Li is detected and the item is reached when position 1 is reached stopped regardless of the shipment length. In position 1 has the rear edge from the point of impact of the next broadcast the distance of the specified overlap. The stop signal becomes the start signal from the light barrier signal at the rear edge from the light barrier signal of the leading edge taking into account the transport speed and the distance derived from the light barrier Li. The pulley 5 is So driven in stop-start mode, which makes the first Volume 4 works in stop-start mode.

The last shipment 1 of the shingled stream is clamped in the Clamping area around the point K, whereby the free length s of the Consignment 1, which protrudes from the first guide band 4, independently of the shipment length. If the first guide band 4 over the deflecting roller 5 at the moment of impact of the following Program 2 started, the free length s corresponds to the constant Overlap length c. The programs 1, 2 but be upset. To avoid this, the leader tape 4 started shortly before arrival of the following program 2, so that at the moment of impact both programs 1, 2 have approximately the same speed. So at the time of impact the distance between the point of impact and the rear edge of the Corresponds to overlap length c, the free length s must be at rest Consignment 1 must be larger to the extent necessary.

The rigidity of the consignments, even of very unstable ones Shipments, it is sufficient that after leaving the rear edge of the Shipment 1 of the feed means 3 from position in the shortest possible time 1 snaps into position 2, where it is on the guide belt 7 is present, whereby the weft triangle is released very quickly for the next broadcast 2.

If the front edge of the next broadcast 2 has reached position 3, the first guide belt 4 is started as described, so that it has rated speed when the next broadcast 2 is taken over by the guide belt 4.

The angle α and the free length s define a right angle Triangle (weft triangle), the catheter d a minimum must not be less than to hit the next broadcast 2 on the preceding program 1 even if it has turned over Corners, etc. to avoid. The weft triangle must be closed be formed when the next broadcast 2 begins, move along the hypotenuse, i.e. the rear edge the preceding shipment 1 must be in position 2 (not within the weft triangle).

The preceding broadcast 1 and the subsequent broadcast 2 will between the guide bands 4 and 7 with a constant Overlap c until the guide belt 4 stops transported further through the rear edge of the following broadcast 2.

This creates a stream of mail with constant overlap c, which moves gradually against the stop 6, causing the shipments slide over to the stack. The geometry has to be like this be chosen so that even the shortest shipment is always clamped remains and the overlap cannot dissolve.

By the stop-start operation of the guide belt 4 and thus also of the non-driven second guide belt 7 Duration of the standing shipment on running elements very small, so that no damage can occur.
