Abstract

The roof gutter (1,1'), as a semicircular shell, has a longitudinal leg (7) which is shortened from the end side (12) of the beading (5) on the length (LW) of the beading (5) as a recess (11). The gutters (1,1') are twisted into each other, by opening out the water fold (3), to be soldered together at the overlap. The roof gutter is of copper, zinc plate, galvanized steel plate, fine steel or aluminum.

Description

The invention relates on the one hand a gutter according to the features in the preamble of claim 1 and on the other hand, a method for producing such gutters.

Gutters become shotwise overlapping each other on the lower edge (eaves) a roof mounted to catch the runoff from the roof surface rainwater and divert into a downpipe. Gutter and downpipe will be among others made of copper, zinc sheet, galvanized sheet steel, stainless steel or aluminum. Gutters made of copper are particularly high quality.

Frequently, a suspended gutter with a semicircular cross-section is used. These has a semicircular drip tray (trough sole) with a Wasserfalz at the a longitudinal side and a screwed bead on the other longitudinal side. Dimensions and Hanging roof gutters are in the German standard DIN 18 461 or the European standard EN 612. A generic gutter is also from the document BE 75 53 81-A known.

The individual gutters are usually 3 m long and are laid when laying shot against each other. They then overlap each other and become in the Overlapping area soldered to each other waterproof. At the roof bottom is the gutter attached by gutter bracket.

When assembling the nesting of the ends of the individual gutters designed laborious. In particular, the front beads must from the roofer under Force effort are literally "interlocked". This is not just the Danger that the gutters bend and then no longer perfectly overlapping nestled, but also that the mechanic injured. In practice This is done by cutting off the beads in the overlap area and the butt joints butt. However, this is associated with additional effort and can be both the tightness and the appearance of the seam adversely affect. With another makeshift measure one cuts with one Tin snips a gusset from the bead. However, this is associated with the disadvantage that a bead can open so that it is a throw between them Grooved gutters come.

Auch der Längsschenkel im Inneren des Wulstes fehlt in diesem Längenabschnitt.US-PS 2,145,486 discloses a gutter with a screwed bead as well one longitudinal leg at one longitudinal edge and with a 180 ° fold at the other Longitudinal edge. At one end, the bead is cut in such a curvilinear shape that it enters a complete bead of a second gutter with rechtwinkling to the longitudinal axis extending end face can be inserted axially. Also the longitudinal leg in Inside of the bead is missing in this length section.

In addition, the gutter in the area of the truncated bead on the essential peripheral area of their drip tray on an S-shaped fold. By this fold creates a receiving cleft into which the uncut End of a sump of a gutter can be inserted.

The production of the known gutter is complicated because not only the bead trimmed, but also the S-shaped fold before rounding the drip tray must be made.

The invention is therefore based on the object of the prior art, the task To create a gutter, which allows easier installation. It is still the task of the invention to show a method for producing such a gutter.

Die Lösung des gegenständlichen Teils der Aufgabe besteht nach der Erfindung in den kennzeichnenden Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1.The solution of the objective part of the task according to the invention in the characterizing features of claim 1.

The core of the invention forms the measure, the inwardly directed longitudinal leg of the front bead of a gutter starting from a front side of the bead shortened form the length of the bead in the form of a recess. The length of the recess corresponds approximately to the overlap between two gutters.

The recess allows two gutters without much effort end can be placed overlapping each other. For this purpose, the Gutter with its bead pushed onto the already installed gutter. The gutter is rotated about its longitudinal axis to the front, so that the opening of the gutter facing forwards to the mechanic. Then the attached gutter turned into the mounted gutter. This is possible because in the overlapping area of the Gutters at least on a gutter of the inner longitudinal leg is missing. The gutters can thus be rotated around the longitudinal axis of the bead, without the rotational movement is hindered by the longitudinal legs.

Thereafter, the Wasserfalz is raised at the roof-side longitudinal edge and the gutters intertwined.

The two gutters are then in the overlap area clean and stress-free on each other, so that they can be soldered without problems.

The gutter invention thus allows easier installation. This facilitates working essential as the laying often overhead of a ladder or a scaffolding must be carried out. Additional cutting work on the Ends of the gutters during assembly are avoided.

Even if it is possible in principle, the longitudinal leg of an inventive Shortening gutter on both end sides, it is useful for the practice considered to provide a recess only on one side.

The solution of the procedural part of the task consists in the features of Claim 2.

Thereafter, the cutout for the shortening of the longitudinal leg before the bead production brought in. For this purpose, at a longitudinal edge of a band shape initially provided material corresponding in one of the length of a gutter Distance created lateral recesses and the starting material in the Area of the recesses perpendicular to its longitudinal extent in metal strips divided. Making the recesses and dividing into metal strips can be done simultaneously or in successive steps. Then be the sheet metal strips in a known manner to gutters molded.

An expedient procedure in the final shaping is, first the Buckle water fold and screw in the bead. Subsequently, the sheet metal strip formed in a roll form set bending roll technology to semicircular gutter.

The inventive method allows a rational and simple production gutters with a longitudinal leg shortened at one end side.

The gutter 1 has a drip tray 2 on with a molded Wasserfalz 3 at the roof-side longitudinal edge 4 and a screwed bead 5 at the outer longitudinal edge. 6

The bead 5 is approximately hollow cylindrical in configuration. With a relation to the radius R 1 of the bead 5 smaller radius R 2 is followed by a directed approximately to the longitudinal axis LA of the bead 5, substantially flat longitudinal leg 7 at. Between the transition 8 of the bead 5 on the longitudinal leg 7 and the adjacent outer side 9 of the drip tray 2, a gap 10 is formed.

As is clear from FIGS. 2 and 3, the longitudinal leg 7 of a gutter 1 ', 1 "is shortened from a front side 12 by a recess 11 opposite the length L W of the bead 5.

The length L 11 of the recess 11 corresponds approximately to the overlap dimension Ü between the gutters 1 ', 1 ". The bead 5 extends over the entire length L D of a gutter 1', 1". Through the recess 11, the gutter 1 "can be put on the gutter 1 'at the end with its bead 5. Thereafter, the gutters 1', 1" are rotated without tension into each other without the longitudinal legs 7 of the gutter 1 'and 1 "can hinder this.

Then the gutters 1 ', 1 "by mounting the Wasserfalzes 3 am Longitudinal edge 4 joined together and soldered in the overlapping area 13.

In der Figur 4 ist ein Ausschnitt aus einem bandförmigen Ausgangsmaterial 14 dargestellt, von dem Blechstreifen 15 abgeteilt werden, die zur Herstellung von Dachrinnen dienen, deren Längsschenkel an beiden Endseiten durch Aussparungen verkürzt sind.FIG. 4 shows a detail of a ribbon-shaped starting material 14, are separated from the metal strip 15, which is used to produce gutters serve, the longitudinal limbs are shortened at both end sides by recesses.

For this purpose, at a longitudinal edge 16 in a length L D of a gutter corresponding distance lateral recesses 17 are created. In the manufacturing example explained here, the recess 17 is twice as long as a later recess in the longitudinal leg of a gutter. By dividing the starting material 14 at right angles to its longitudinal extent in the middle of the recesses 17 is obtained sheet metal strip 15 with lateral recesses 17 ', 17 "at both ends.

The preparation of the recesses 17 and the parts in metal strip 15 can simultaneously or in successive steps.

Die Tiefe der Ausnehmung H20 entspricht der Höhe eines an dem Wulst einer Dachrinne ausgebildeten Längsschenkels.FIG. 5 shows a metal strip 18 which has a recess 20 only at one end 19. The recess 20 has been created at the longitudinal edge 21 simultaneously with the division of the metal strip 18 from a starting material provided in strip form. The depth of the recess H 20 corresponds to the height of a formed on the bead of a gutter longitudinal leg.

In the final shaping (see Figures 6 to 8) of a metal strip 22 is first the Wasserfalz 23 kinked and the bead 24 screwed. The longitudinal leg 25 of the bead 24 is formed according to the above explanations shortened end. Subsequently, the thus prepared sheet metal strip 22 in a roll molding set 26th formed by bending rolls to semicircular gutter 27.

    c) the gap (10) has a width such that during assembly, a roof gutter (1") to be attached can be placed with its bead (5, 24) on an already assembled roof gutter (1') so as to overlap one another on the end face and the roof gutter (1") to be attached can then be rotated about the longitudinal axis (LA) of the bead (5, 24) into the assembled roof gutter (1').
  2. Method for producing roof gutters according to claim 1, characterised in that lateral recesses (17, 20) are produced initially on one longitudinal edge (16, 21) of a starting material (14) provided in strip form at a spacing (LD) corresponding to the length of a roof gutter (1, 1', 1", 27) and in the region of the recesses (17, 20) the starting material (14) is divided into sheet metal strips (5, 18, 22) at right angles to its longitudinal extension, whereupon the water fold (3, 23) is formed by bending on one sheet metal strip (15, 18, 22) and the bead (5, 24) is turned in and in that the sheet metal strip (15, 18, 22) thus prepared is then formed in a roller forming assembly (26) by roll bending to form the semicircular roof gutter (1, 1', 1", 27).
