Abstract

The roof or facing cladding as a rhombic form shingle has edge strips(13,14) on its four longitudinal sides, of which those lying above a center transverse plane in the installed position are beaded by 180 degrees forward to form a fold(24), and those lying below this center transverse plane are beaded rearwards towards a support face(1) on the roof or facing, similarly forming a fold. The lower peripheral section of the shingle bridging the center transverse plane is convexly rounded between the adjacent end sides of the edge strips beaded rearwards towards the support face.

Description

The state of the art includes a roof or facade covering in the form of a diamond-shaped clapboard (brochure from Rheinzink, Fig. 7). This Shingles have narrow margins on their four long sides. Of these Edge strips are those in the installed state of the shingle above a horizontal one Edge strips lying in the central transverse plane, forming a fold of almost 180 ° forward, that is to the environment and the other two below the Edge strips lying in the central transverse plane also form a fold about 180 ° in the opposite direction to the rear, that is to one Support surface flanged on a roof or on a facade. The End faces of the edge strips run almost parallel to the central transverse plane or to the vertical median longitudinal plane, the distance being that of the median longitudinal plane neighboring end faces is greater than the distance from the central transverse plane neighboring end faces. The upper circumferential area of the shingle between the front edge strip tapers, while the lower peripheral area between the rear edge strip extends largely parallel to the central transverse plane, here a triangular section in addition to the rear edge strips is also bent towards the support surface. EP 0 378 869 - A1 discloses a shingle as defined in the preamble of claim 1.

Such a shingle can be scaled with several other shingles be put together. When assembling, the rear grips Edge strips of the shingles in the folds of the front edge strips of the previously mislaid shingles. The individual shingles are each individually on the Support surface fixed to the roof or facade.

Starting from the prior art, the invention is based on the object a roof or facade covering in the form of a diamond-like configuration To create shingles, which with simple production with optimal use of the source material is quicker to assemble and a visually appealing Gives an impression.

This object is achieved according to the invention in the features of Claim 1.

An essential feature of the invention is that the Middle longitudinal plane bridging the lower peripheral area of the shingle between the mutually adjacent end faces of the flanged towards the support surface back edge strips convexly rounded, especially circular. Because of this, both a roof and a Facade with the help of shingles according to the invention a very special scale effect can be achieved, as it is known from a snake skin.

In addition, the invention allows the creation of a large-sized shingle and thus a quick covering of a roof or facade surface.

Furthermore, according to claim 1, the rounded lower peripheral region of the shingle flanged by about 90 ° to the contact surface. The flanged edge is thus after the Installation of the shingle exactly between two lower longitudinal sides of adjacent previously installed shingles and thereby forms a conclusion to the bottom. The height of the flanged edge of the peripheral area corresponds approximately to that double the height which has been produced by the flanging of an edge strip.

The formation of the lower end faces of those below the central transverse plane back edge strips according to the features of claim 1 provides in the assembled state of a shingle for that in particular at an angle trending facade or with a sloping roof between each installed row of shingles largely closed narrow transition areas available.

Finally, the features of claim 1 for the purpose of achieving an optical appealing impression that the length of a shingle in the central longitudinal plane measured greater than its width measured in the central transverse plane.

The features of claim 2 contribute to that a maximum from a given board Number of shingles with little cutting loss can be manufactured.

A large-sized shingle, which is optimally used from a board can be produced is in the features of claim 3 characterized.

According to the features of claim 4, a shingle made of copper or a copper alloy. If necessary, it can also be tinned. It is also conceivable that the shingle has a pre-patinated surface in order to repair the new shingle to the already existing one, for example visually adjust installed shingles.

In FIG. 1, 1 is not a supporting surface as part of one depicted facade of a building. The facade comes with diamond-shaped shingles 2 covered with copper sheet. The shingles 2 are with With the help of clamps 3 nailed to the support surface 1.

Each shingle 2 is divided from a rectangular board 4 (Figure 2), with can be seen that with a length L of the board 4 of 3000 mm and a width B of 500 mm five shingles 2 with only a slight loss of edge from the board 4 can be manufactured.

A shingle 2 divided from the board 4 according to FIG. 2 initially has the shingle from FIG 3 recognizable, partly in dash-dotted lines, partly in solid lines illustrate the exact geometric diamond contour. The areas 5, 6, 7, 8 are then divided off from this contour.

When viewing Figures 3 and 4 together, it can be seen that the finished Shingle 2 (Figure 4) on its four long sides 9, 10, 11, 12 narrow edge strips 13, 14, 15, 16, of which those lying above a central transverse plane MQE Edge strips 13, 14 from the surface according to FIG. 3 to the front by almost 180 ° Environment (Figure 4) and the other two below the central transverse plane MQE lying edge strips 15, 16 from the surface of Figure 3 by about 180 ° in the from the figure 4 opposite direction to the rear Support surface 1 are flanged on the facade.

10, 12 etwa 58°.Figures 3 and 4 also show that the length L1 of the shingle 2 in the measured along the central longitudinal plane MLE perpendicular to the central transverse plane MQE is longer than the width B1 measured in the central transverse plane MQE. The length L1 the shingle 2 measured in the central longitudinal plane MLE is 850 mm and the Width B1 in the central transverse plane MQE measured 536 mm. Here the angle is α between the central longitudinal plane MLE and the adjacent long sides 9, 10 or 11, 12 about 32 ° and the angle β between the central transverse plane MQE and adjacent long sides 9, 11 and 10, 12 about 58 °.

The upper ones run through the division of the areas 5, 6, 7, 8 according to FIG End faces 17 of the front lying above the central transverse plane MQE Edge strips 13, 14 of the finished shingle 2 at an acute angle to the neighboring one Central longitudinal plane MLE (Figure 4). Also the MQE to the central transverse plane Adjacent lower end faces 18 of the front edge strips 13, 14 and the upper end faces 19 of the rear edge strips 15, 16 extend at an acute angle to the central transverse plane MQE. The figure 4 is clearly too see that the end faces 17, 18, 19 of the edge strips mentioned above 13, 14, 15, 16 from their free longitudinal edges 20 on the one hand into the central longitudinal plane MLE and on the other hand lead to the central transverse plane MQE.

The lower circumferential region 21 of the central longitudinal plane MLE Shingle 2 between the mutually adjacent end faces 22 of the support surface 1 flanged rear edge strips 15, 16 is rounded convex. Besides, is this rounded peripheral region 21 of the shingle 2 by about 90 ° to the bearing surface 1 flanged out. The flange 23 can be seen from Figures 3 and 4.

The lower faces of the MQE below the central transverse plane rear edge strips 15, 16 are perpendicular to their free longitudinal edges 20 approximately at the transitions from the rounded lower peripheral region 21 of the Shingle 2 is provided on the lower longitudinal sides 11, 12 of the shingle 2.

When installing the shingles 2 work in rows from bottom to top, the rear edge strips 15, 16 of each newly installed shingle 2 in the folds 24 formed by the front edge strips 13, 14 of the previous installed row of shingles and the front edge strips 13, 14 in the by the rear edge strips 15, 16 formed folds 25 grip.

Roof or façade covering in the form of a shingle (2) configured in a rhombic manner, which, on its four longitudinal sides (9 to 12) has edge strips (13 to 16), of which the edge strips (13, 14) located above a central transverse plane (MQE) in the installed state are beaded by virtually 180° to the front towards the surroundings, forming a fold (24), and the two other edge strips (15, 16) located below the central transverse plane (MQE) are beaded, also forming a fold (25), by about 180° in the opposite direction to the rear towards a support face (1) on a roof or on a facade, wherein the length (L1) of the shingle (2), measured in the central longitudinal plane (MLE), is longer than the width (B1), measured in the central transverse plane (MQE), characterised in that the lower peripheral region (21) of the shingle (2) bridging the central longitudinal plane (MLE) between the mutually adjacent end faces (22) of the edge strips (15, 16) beaded to the rear towards the support face (1), is convexly rounded, wherein a beaded edge (23) bent by about 90° towards the support face (1) is provided on the rounded lower peripheral region (21) of the shingle (2), and wherein the lower end faces (22) of the rear edge strips (15, 16) located below the central transverse plane (MQE) are provided at right angles to their free longitudinal rims (20) approximately at the transitions from the rounded lower peripheral region (21) of the shingle (2) to the lower longitudinal sides (11, 12) of the shingle (2).
  2. Roof or façade covering according to claim 1, wherein the upper end faces (17) extending at an acute angle to the adjacent central longitudinal plane (MLE), of the leading edge strips (13, 14) located above the central transverse plane (MQE) and the lower end faces (18) of the leading edge strips (13, 14) arranged at an acute angle to the adjacent central transverse plane (MQE) and the upper end faces (19) of the rear edge strips (15, 16) open, from their free longitudinal rims (20), on the one hand into the central longitudinal plane (MLE) and, on the other hand, into the central transverse plane (MQE).
  3. Roof or facade covering according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the angle (α) between the central longitudinal plane (MLE) of the shingle (2) and the adjacent longitudinal sides (9, 10 and 11, 12) is about 32° and the angle (β) between the central transverse plane (MQE) and the adjacent longitudinal sides (9, 11 and 10, 12) is about 58°, wherein the length (L1) of the shingle (2) measured in the central longitudinal plane (MLE) is 850 mm and the width (B1) measured in the central transverse plane (MQE) is 536 mm.
  4. Roof or façade covering according to any one of claims 1 to 3, in which the shingle (2) consists of copper or a copper alloy, optionally tin-plated or provided with a pre-patinated surface.
