Abstract

Claims (10)

  1. Marking device intended to be detected the moment it passes into surveillance areas and to emit an alarm signal as soon as someone tries to remove it from the article bearing same, of the type comprising an electronic circuit with a detection ring (15), one electrical characteristic of which is modified when someone tries to remove said marking device from the article bearing same, and an electronic module (13) capable of detecting the modification of this electrical characteristic and informing surveillance means about it, characterised in that it is presented in the form of an adhesive label bearing on its back an adhesive by means of which it is applied to the article to be protected, and realised in a plurality of peelable layers, said label comprising a first blank (2) and a second blank (6) fixed on the first blank (2) by means of an adhesive having an adhesive strength lower than that of the adhesive disposed on the back of the label so as to ensure that the second blank (6) is separated whilst the first blank (2), or lower blank, remains stuck on the article when someone tries to remove the label from the article bearing it, and in that the detection ring (15) is disposed on the second blank (6) and connected to the first blank (2) so that its electrical characteristic is modified during the separation of the second blank (6).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the electronic module (13) is disposed so as to remain fixed on the article after the label has been torn off and can be detected by the surveillance systems.
  3. Device according to claim 1 or according to claim 2, characterised in that the detection ring (15) is composed of conductor tracks positioned on the second blank (6), itself disposed on the first blank (2), and connected to metallised portions (3) of said first blank (2).
  4. Marking device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that it includes fuses which can be destroyed by a destruction signal induced in the electronic circuit.
  5. Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a capacitor ensures a power reserve.
  6. Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the electrical continuity of the detection ring is destroyed when someone tries to remove the label from the article bearing same.
  7. Marking device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the electronic module detects the variation in the resistance of the detection ring when someone tries to remove the label from the article bearing same.
  8. Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it includes at least one receiving and/or transmitting antenna (14).
  9. Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the electronic module is capable of communicating with the surveillance means.
  10. Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the blanks (2, 6) bear brand names or decorations.
