Description

The invention relates to a rail vehicle, in particular for the transport of people, with a car body delimited by side walls, by a car body floor and by a car roof, which has a device for ventilation of the interior of the car body.

In the case of rail vehicles, in particular for the transportation of passengers, it was common practice to use the design, component and / or production-related leaks at the body or at its access openings, such as entrance doors or bellows at vehicle transitions, for air exchange. The air supplied via supply air devices is conveyed to the outside through the open doors and / or through the existing cracks and gaps due to different air pressure. A disadvantage of this type of air exchange was the undefined air routing, which often manifested itself as drafts and led to impaired driving comfort. It was also unavoidable that dirt, noise and moisture could get into the car through the random openings.

This option of automatic air exchange does not apply to modern-design rail vehicles, which are designed to be aerodynamically efficient due to their high speeds and are largely free of leakage openings. To remedy this, ventilation devices were installed on the car roof or in the Side wall area of the vehicles arranged, for example so-called cuckoo fans. However, this type of venting also has disadvantages, as shown below.

If there is ventilation on the car roof, there is a risk of a flow or thermal short circuit, since the supply air openings are often also arranged in the roof area. As a result, the desired air exchange inside the vehicle is no longer guaranteed, since the fresh air supplied no longer flows through the entire interior.

Vent openings, for example slits, on the side wall of the vehicle are visible and for this reason alone disturb the external appearance, this interference effect being intensified by the necessary covers on the outside of the vehicle. In addition, a defined air flow from the ceiling to the floor is not guaranteed.

Based on this prior art, it is an object of the invention to provide a device for ventilation of the interior of the car body for a rail vehicle of the type mentioned, which is simple in design and can be produced without great effort and which ensures effective air exchange while avoiding any Impaired by drafts or unwanted penetration of moisture, dirt or noise.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of patent claim 1. Further advantageous refinements and improvements of the invention are set out and characterized in the subclaims.

According to the invention it is provided that the device for ventilation of the interior of the car body is formed by an air supply device arranged on the car roof and by at least one exhaust air opening let into the car body floor. It should be noted that supply air devices arranged on the roof are already known in a variety of ways, for example in the form of air conditioning systems installed on the roof of the car according to plan or subsequently, which supply fresh air-conditioned air into the vehicle interior. On the other hand, however, an arrangement of exhaust air openings in the floor area was dispensed with, since with an unfavorable design an unfavorable temperature distribution, the occurrence of drafts and annoyance from a high noise level cannot be excluded.

In an advantageous development of the invention it can be provided that the exhaust air opening is covered by an air-permeable cover and is connected to an air duct arranged on the floor of the vehicle body. In comparison to an exhaust air opening that communicates directly with the outside air, the air duct forms a barrier for direct exposure to the vehicle interior through driving noise, moisture and dirt, since these must first flow through the air duct before they can get into the vehicle interior.

The air duct mentioned can be integrated into the design of the vehicle floor or advantageously arranged below the vehicle body floor and formed by a collar molded onto the vehicle body floor, which is connected to the outside air via a side opening.

This design offers the advantage of being easy to produce, since the air duct can be formed from flat material, in particular from sheet metal or, if appropriate, from plastic sheets. The design with a collar ensures a uniform air outlet, which, in accordance with the structural design of the collar, acts as a chicane for a flow directed backwards, that is to say into the interior of the car.

According to a preferred embodiment, the lateral opening in the air duct extends over its length and is designed in the form of a gap. The longitudinal gap is open towards the middle of the carriage to make it more difficult for the rolling noise of the wheels of the rail vehicle to penetrate.

Depending on the size of the exchange air flow, only one exhaust air opening is provided for venting the interior of the car body, which is arranged in a protected manner below a passenger seat or by other superstructures. However, several exhaust air openings can also be provided, each of which is arranged below a passenger seat.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, each exhaust air opening is arranged close to the edge on the longitudinal outside. The size of the exhaust air opening is corresponding the required outflow cross-section, whereby a rectangle with a size of approximately 600 cm 2 (corresponding to 200 mm * 300 mm) per exhaust air opening with a total of four exhaust air openings per car body is to be regarded as sufficient. This achieves sufficient, largely uniform air removal and ensures good air circulation.

In order to prevent the disturbing inflow of external air and the penetration of moisture, air baffles are arranged at least below each exhaust air opening in the air duct. It can be provided that the air baffles overlap and are inclined and thus prevent the ingress of moisture and foreign bodies through the exhaust opening into the interior of the car body.

In order to avoid the penetration of noise into the interior of the car body, it can be provided according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention that the air duct is lined, at least in the area of the gap-like opening, with sound-absorbing material which suppresses noise.

Likewise, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the exhaust air opening on the vehicle floor is provided with a cover, preferably a grid, for example made of expanded metal, or a perforated plate.

In order to reduce the risk of stumbling and to favor floor cleaning, it is advantageously provided that the cover of each exhaust opening is flush with the floor of the car body. If the car body floor is provided with a floor covering, the cover is flush with this.

With a view to easy cleaning of the air duct or a simple exchange in the event of damage, the air duct is detachably attached to the car body.

In general, it should be emphasized that the ventilation device according to the invention is advantageous not only in air-conditioned vehicles, that is to say in vehicles in which a cooling device is provided for cooling the air for the passenger compartment, but also in a conventional heating ventilation system. In vehicles that are equipped with such a system, there is a Air flow that is up to three times higher than that of fully air-conditioned vehicles.

Furthermore, the device according to the invention avoids the excess pressure in the interior of the car, which can lead to problems with the ever better sealing of modern rail vehicles, for example difficult automatic opening of the vehicle doors. Such overpressure can build up especially in heating and air conditioning systems with fan operation.

These and further advantageous refinements and improvements of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

The invention, advantageous refinements and improvements and special advantages of the invention are to be explained and described in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the schematic drawing.

In the partially cut open car body 10 shown in the schematic representation according to FIG. 2 without windows, doors or entry areas, the supply air device 22 is arranged approximately in the middle of the car body and extends over the entire width of the car body 10. Ambient air is introduced into the through an inlet opening 23 Supply air device 22 is sucked in, processed therein, that is, cleaned, heated or cooled by means of a filter and then conveyed into the interior 11. There, the supplied air leaves the interior after flowing through the exhaust air openings 28 provided on the vehicle body floor 12, which in turn is connected to an air duct 30 shown in FIG. 1 and more clearly in FIG. 3.
