    characterised in that
    only two piston-cylinder units are provided to bear the load suspension means (12), the vertically oriented lifting cylinders (8) of which are rigidly fastened to the structural part (7) and, just like the piston rods (10), are at least dimensioned to resist bending to absorb side forces from travelling movements, wind load stressing and/or eccentric load distribution such that with minimised unavoidable elastic deformation maintenance of the ability of the piston rod (10) to be displaced is ensured and that both ends of the piston rods (10) are joined to the load suspension means (12) via elongate holes which extend parallel to the piston rods (10).
  2. A lifting means according to Claim 1, characterised in that the vertical longitudinal centre plane of the load suspension means is offset laterally by at least 500 mm relative to the plane in which the two lifting cylinders (8) are located.
