Abstract

The hinge consists of a bracket on which a corner pivot pin (10) is mounted on a horizontal bolt (9). The pivot pin (10) has a recessed web (13) at its end with which it is mounted over the bolt (9) while it is pushed into position after the bracket has been screwed to the window frame. The bolt is held in position by the elastic deformation of the flanges, of the bracket, between which it is mounted. The hinge part, which is mounted on the window frame, has a corner strip which is placed with a vertical sleeve (25) over the pivot pin (10). The moving part of the hinge incorporates a stop (22) with which it lies against the hinge bracket so that the window is supported at a slight angle (24) to the vertical.

Description

The invention relates to a corner hinge, in particular a tilt and turn corner bearing for windows and doors or the like. With a frame bracket, on which a corner bearing pin is movably supported on a horizontal axle pin via a tilting eye, and with a wing-side corner hinge, which has an upright hinge sleeve with the pivot pin can be inserted into the swivel joint.

Such corner hinges are already known from DE 89 11 831 U and DE 94 12 989 U, for example, from the prior art. DE 89 11 831 U relates generally to a hinge for windows and doors or the like with a frame joint part carrying a hinge pin (corner bearing bolt) and a wing joint part having a hinge sleeve, but in particular a pivot-tilt corner bearing with a frame-side corner bracket and a wing-side corner hinge .

So that during the opening and closing movement of the window and door sash or the like, there is no contact between the functional parts moved relative to one another, namely between the frame joint part and the sash joint part, and the resultant grinding marks on the functional parts are avoided are proposed there that the longitudinal axis of the wing-side hinge sleeve has a position inclined at an acute angle in the direction of the wing plane relative to the adjacent wing leg.

This design of the known hinge leads on the one hand to the advantage that with each closing movement of the wing relative to the glare or stick frame, the wing joint part can approach it to a minimum and thereby bring about an optimal tight fit between the sash and glare or stick frame. On the other hand, however, it is ensured that the frame joint part moves away from the blind frame during the opening movement of the sash and thereby avoids the disadvantageous contact with this or the fitting parts attached to it during each opening and closing movement process.

The hinge bearing known from DE 94 12 989 U for the sashes of windows, doors or the like is also, in particular, a turn-tilt corner bearing. This has a bearing block which can be fastened to the frame via a base plate and screws which penetrate in the area of countersunk holes, and which has two cheeks or flanges projecting from one another at a distance from one another, between which there is a horizontal pin provided with an external thread articulation pin extending in the normal direction - as a corner bearing pin - can be tilted and held sideways by means of an internal thread. The hinge pin or corner bearing pin engages in a joint sleeve of a wing hinge part in a supportive manner, and the axle pin is provided at least at its ends with engagement surfaces for an adjusting tool, for example with an engagement recess for a wrench, which in the area of through holes in the cheeks or flanges of the bearing block are accessible.

The advantageous peculiarity or peculiarity of this known hinge bearing or turn-tilt corner bearing lies in the fact that its bearing block can be anchored directly at the level of its cheeks or flanges by means of a fastening screw on the frame and that the axle bolt with the one sitting on or with it only then the pivot pin or corner bearing bolt carried by it is brought into its proper functional position between the cheeks or flanges, in order then to enable interaction with an articulated sleeve of the wing hinge part. The correct functional position of the pivot pin or corner bearing pin in the bearing block is brought about by the action of force (pressure and / or impact) on its free end. This known hinge bearing or turn-tilt corner bearing is characterized in that one of the countersunk holes penetrable by the fastening screws is arranged in the base plate of the bearing block between the cheeks or flanges, that in the inner surfaces of the cheeks or flanges towards the upper edge of which, pocket-like bearing recesses for the ends of the axle bolt are formed, which merge into bearing ring surfaces aligned concentrically with the through holes, and that the effective length of the axle bolt is dimensioned greater by the common depth of the two bearing ring surfaces than the smallest clear distance between the end surfaces of the two Storage troughs on the cheeks or flanges.

After inserting the fastening screw into the countersunk hole arranged between the cheeks or flanges of the bearing block, the axle bolt is pressed into engagement with the bearing ring surfaces transversely to its longitudinal axis within the pocket-like bearing recesses by the force (pressure and / or impact) on the pivot pin or corner bearing bolt and thus elastically locked between them in its proper functional position.

With the object of the invention, the object is achieved in a corner hinge, in particular a tilt-and-turn corner bearing for windows and doors or the like. Of the type specified at the beginning, in a simple manner or by using simple means, the peculiar advantages of the hinge according to DE 89 11 831 U. to combine with the advantages inherent in the hinge according to DE 94 12 989 U, thus to create a corner hinge that is optimized in terms of its construction and functioning.

The solution to this problem is characterized according to the invention in principle:
by means of stop faces on the frame bearing block and on the tilting bearing eye of the corner bearing bolt, by means of which the corner bearing bolt can be rigidly supported against the frame bearing block in a predetermined angular position.

It has been shown that when using these simple design or additional measures, a corner hinge or tilt-turn corner bearing can be provided which, in one and the same design, not only meets the requirements underlying DE 89 11 831 U, but also the requirements Utilization of the advantages of DE 94 12 989 U guaranteed. This applies in particular if, according to the invention, the corner bearing pin is supported against the frame bearing block via the stop faces in an angular position which is inclined slightly forwards - away from the frame bearing block.

The invention also provides that the stop surfaces on the frame bearing block and on the tilting bearing eye of the corner bearing pin are located essentially above the tilting axis of the corner bearing pin. In constructional terms, it is particularly expedient if the stop surface of the frame bracket is formed by the end surface of its screw-on plate, while the stop surface of the Corner bearing pin is located on a tongue protruding from the tilting bearing eye. Of course, it is not excluded according to the invention, however, to make an opposite arrangement with respect to the stop surfaces, i.e. to provide the stop surface of the frame bracket on a tongue protruding from its screw-on plate, on which a boundary surface of the tilting bearing eye provided on the corner bearing bolt is then supported as a stop surface.

Hierbei zeigt

Further features and advantages of the corner hinge according to the invention are explained below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. Here shows

In Fig. 1 of the drawing, a corner hinge for windows and doors or the like, which is designed as a tilt-and-turn corner bearing, is shown only the corner bearing assembly 1 forming the actual subject matter of the invention, with the aid of which a tilt-and-turn sash can be supported on a frame 5. This frame-side corner bearing assembly 1 has a bearing block 2 which can be anchored via a base plate 3 using countersunk screws 4 to the end face of the frame 5 on the room side. The countersunk screws 4 penetrate the base plate 3 in the region of a countersunk hole 6. The bearing block 2 has two in Distance next to each other from its base plate 3 cheeks or flanges 7 protruding at right angles, of which only one can be seen in the drawing.

It is essential for the corner frame assembly 1 on the frame side that on the one hand one of the countersunk holes 6 to be penetrated by the countersunk screws 4 is arranged on the base plate 3 between the two cheeks or flanges 7 and as close as possible above a central web 8 connecting them integrally with one another, as is clear 1 and 2 can be seen. This arrangement of the one countersunk hole 6 is remarkable in that it enables a tensioning connection of the bearing block 2 of the corner bearing assembly 1 with the frame 5 directly at the level of the cheeks or flanges 7 without the need for 7 additional fastening tabs on the side outside the cheeks or flanges Base plate 3 are required. Moments that act on the cheeks or flanges 7 of the bearing block 2 and must be introduced from the wing into the frame 5 can be optimally absorbed in this way.

On the other hand, however, this special type of mounting of the bearing block 2 on the frame 5 requires certain precautions with regard to the design of the corner bearing assembly 1 on the frame side, because normally - in the proper practical use of the corner bearing assembly 1 - the countersunk hole 6 located between the cheeks or flanges 7, important functional parts are upstream.

These functional parts are, on the one hand, a - horizontal - axle pin 9 held between the cheeks or flanges 7 and, on the other hand, a corner bearing pin 10 extending in the normal direction, which in turn is supported on the axle pin 9 such that it can be tilted, as can be seen in the drawing. For this purpose, the axle pin 9 is provided with an external thread 11, which is in engagement with an internal thread 12 which is located in a tilting eye 13 at the lower end of the corner bearing pin 10. The axle pin 9 also has at least at its ends engagement surfaces for an adjusting tool, expediently an engagement recess 14 for a wrench, which can be found in the region of through holes 15 in both cheeks when the corner bearing assembly 1 (see FIG. 2) is properly attached to the frame 5 or flanges 7 of the bearing block 7.

With the aid of the pin key inserted through the through holes 15 into the engagement recess 14 of the axle pin 9, the axially fixed axle pin 9 can be rotated about its longitudinal axis if necessary. As a result, the corner bearing pin 10 with its internal thread 12 located in the tilting bearing eye 13 can be displaced sideways and transversely to its longitudinal axis 16 on the external thread 11 of the axle pin 9. The maximum possible extent of this transverse displacement of the corner bearing pin 10 on the axle pin 9 is determined by the difference between the material thickness of the tilting bearing eye 13 and the clear distance between the two cheeks or flanges 7.

In the pre-assembled or prepared mounting state of the corner bearing assembly 1 for attaching to the frame 5, the axle pin 9 and the corner bearing pin 10 are fixed in the position shown in FIG. 1 between the two cheeks or flanges 7 of the bearing block 2. This position fixation is achieved in that a pocket-like bearing recess 17 is formed in the inner surface of each cheek or flange 7. It opens on the one hand after the upper edge 18 of the cheeks or flanges 7, but on the other hand is shaped so that it forms a bearing half-shell 19 aligned with each through hole 15 or its longitudinal axis. Concentric to each through hole 15 of a cheek or flange 7 are in the area of the bearing half-shells 19 still special bearing ring surfaces 20 of relatively shallow depth. The pocket-like bearing troughs 17 are preceded on the upper edge 18 of each cheek or flange 7 by a tongue or tab 21 projecting inwards over their end faces, which tongue or tab serves to preassemble the corner bearing pin 10 relative to FIG Secure bracket 2.

The axle pin 9 carrying the corner bearing pin 10 is used with an effective length which is twice the depth of a bearing ring surface 20 in the cheeks or flanges 7 of the bearing block 2 larger than the clear distance between the cheeks or flanges 7 in the area the pocket-like bearing troughs 17. The clear distance between the mutually facing surfaces of the tongues or knobs 21 is smaller than the clear distance between the cheeks or flanges 7 in the region of the bearing troughs 17, so that in the preassembled state (FIG. 1) both ends in the Snap engagement recesses 14 of axle pin 9 into place. As a result, the axle pin 9 is held in the region of the ends of the pocket-like bearing recesses 17 which are open towards the upper edge 18 of the cheeks or flanges 7.

After the countersunk screw 4 has been screwed into the countersunk hole 6 of the base plate 3 of the bearing block 2 located between the two cheeks or flanges 7 in the assembly state of the corner bearing assembly 1 which can be seen in FIG. 1, can be caused by a pressure or impact on the free Bring the end of the corner bearing pin 10 of the axle pin 9 received in its tilting bearing eye 13 from the preassembled basic position according to FIG. 1 into the final assembled position according to FIG. 2. So that the effective direction of the displacement force K exerted on the corner bearing pin 10 is guided exactly in the orientation direction of the pocket-like bearing recesses 17, on the one hand the frame bearing block 2 forms a stop surface with the free end face of its base plate 3 22 and, on the other hand, the pivot bearing eye 13 has a stop surface 23 facing the stop surface 22. Both stop surfaces 22 and 23 meet in the upright position of the corner bearing pin 10 shown in FIG. 1 and thereby provide the corner bearing pin 10 with a rigid support relative to the frame bearing block 2.

Both from FIG. 1 and from FIG. 2 it can be seen that the corner bearing pin 10 is advantageously supported against the latter via the stop faces 22 and 23 in a slightly forward-inclined angular position away from the frame bearing block 2. The angle of inclination 24 of the corner bearing pin 10 against the vertical can have an order of magnitude of approximately 1 ° to 2 °. In any case, it is chosen so that the corner bearing pin 10 in the proper practical use of the corner bearing assembly 1, as shown in Fig. 2, the attached hinge sleeve 25 of a corner hinge attached to the tilt-and-turn sash in a correspondingly slightly different from the room-side end face of the frame 5 tries to support inclined position. It has been found that this low-play bearing connection of the wing to the frame 5 can be improved without the sealing of the window or the French window is impaired when the wing is placed against the frame 5. This applies in particular if an additional bushing 26 made of low-friction and low-wear plastic material is inserted into the hinge sleeve 25 of the wing-side corner hinge, with which the corner bearing pin 10 in turn comes into engagement. The socket 26 can be designed so that the longitudinal axis to its outer jacket surface received by the hinge sleeve 25 and the longitudinal axis to its inner jacket surface receiving the corner bearing pin 10 are inclined at an angle which is approximately the inclination angle 24 of 1 ° to 2 ° corresponds to the longitudinal axis 16 of the corner bearing pin 10 against the vertical. Depending on whether this angle of inclination of corner bearing bolts 10 and bushing 26 about the longitudinal axis 16 of the corner bearing pin 10 are approached or separated from one another by relative rotation, the operative connection between the frame-side corner bearing assembly 1 and the wing-side corner hinge of the tilt-and-turn corner bearing can be influenced such that during the opening and closing movement of the Window and door sash or the like. In any case, there is no contact between the mutually movable fittings. The formation of aesthetically disruptive grinding marks on the surfaces of the fitting parts, in particular on plastic caps or paint layers located thereon, can thus be successfully counteracted.

It has also proven to be important to provide the abutment surfaces 22 on the frame bracket 2 and the abutment surfaces 23 on the pivot bearing eye 13 of the corner bearing bolt 10 so that they are mainly above the pivot axis determined by the axle bolt 9 for the corner bearing bolt 10. This favors the formation of the largest possible lever arm between the tilt axis for the corner bearing pin 10 and the abutting abutment surfaces 22 and 23.

While it has proven to be advantageous to form the stop surface 22 of the frame bracket 2 simply by the flat end face of its base plate 3, the embodiment of the corner bearing assembly 1 shown in the drawing provides that one from the tilting eye 13 of the corner bearing pin 10 backwards Tongue 27 protrudes, which has an end surface forming the stop surface 23. The tongue 27 can be integrally formed on the tilt bearing eye 13; however, it can also be attached subsequently, for example by welding.

Deviating from the embodiment shown in the drawing, it is also possible, the tongue 27 to protrude from the base plate 3 of the frame bracket 2 and then to let the boundary edges of the tilting bearing eye 13 come into operative connection with it. In this case, the stop surface 22 is then on the front edge of the tongue 27, while the stop surface 23 is the boundary edge of the tilt bearing eye 13 itself.
