Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a switch electric rotary multi-position, especially for a motor vehicle anti-theft device.
  • the invention relates to a switch operable with using the ignition key at the option of the user and who, in depending on the angular orientation of the key, establishes different electrical circuits required for starting and vehicle operation, as well as when stopped.
  • all the passages which receive the fixed contacts are made in the form of axial orientation channels in which the fixed contacts are introduced axially.
  • Each fixed contact is introduced axially from the rear end of the associated channel towards its front end which opens into the bottom of the contact chamber.
  • Each fixed contact ends with a free end front cut and rounded profile which projects axially in the bottom of the contact chamber to constitute the fixed contact surface with which the contact cooperates mobile.
  • the fixed contact area consists of an edge rounded cut and the surface condition of this contact area fixed with which a contact zone cooperates by friction formed opposite the rotary movable contact, is little electrically satisfactory and causes wear premature contact areas.
