Claims (16)

  1. Bridge element especially designed for surmounting gaps (3) by vehicles, such as military engineering armoured machines, formed by at least one bridge member (5) comprising a central rigid box (7) with an upper rolling path (8) and two access noses (9 ; 10) assembled respectively to the two ends of the central box (7) in order to extend the rolling path (8) of the central box (7), one (9) of the access noses being fixed to the central box (7), on the one hand, by means of a transverse pivoting pin (11) and, on the other hand, by means of releasable locking means (12) enabling the access nose (9) to occupy a lower position that bears on an edge of a gap (3) or a higher or raised position for coupling with an access nose (10) of another bridge member (5), characterized in that the locking means (12) comprise at least two parallel tie-bolt forming members (14) arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the bridge member (5) and articulated onto the access nose (9) by means of two transverse fixed pins (15) ; and two locking transverse pins (16) having a controlled movement enabling to respectively fix the two tie-bolts forming members (14) to the central box (7) at two different positions respectively corresponding to the lower and raised positions of the access nose (9).
  2. Bridge element according to claim 1, characterized in that the pivoting pin (11) of said access nose (9) is situated at the lower part thereof and the locking means (12) of the access nose (9) are situated at the upper part of the access nose (9) and central box (16).
  3. Bridge element according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said locking transverse pins (16) are movably mounted respectively in two bores (24) of the central box (7) and can be engaged each one in one of two orifices (17, 18) of the corresponding tie-rod forming member (14) that defines the two lower and raised positions of the access nose (9).
  4. Bridge element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the means for controlling the movement of the two locking transverse pins (16) comprise a transverse shaft (19) rotatably mounted in a casing (21) that is rigidly connected to the central box (7) ; two threaded rods (22) that are rigidly connected respectively to the two ends of the rotary shaft (19) coaxially thereto and on each one of which a sleeve is assembled that is innerly tapped for forming a locking transverse pin (16) ; and a means for rotatably driving the rotary shaft (19) so as to translatively move in opposite directions the two sleeves (16) from a released position to a locked position of the tie-bolt forming members (14).
  5. Bridge element according to claim 4, characterized in that the means for rotatably driving the rotary shaft (19) comprises a driving rod (26) that passes through the central box (7), and the end part (26a) of which is rotatably mounted in the support casing (21) of the rotary shaft (19) and carries a conical pinion (28) in gearing engagement with another conical pinion (29) rigidly connected with the rotary shaft (19), the other end (26b) of the driving rod (26) being mechanically coupled with a pinion (32) that is rotatably mounted onto the central box (7) on one side thereof and driven by means of a transmission chain.
  6. Bridge element according to claim 5, characterized in that the other end (26b) of the driving rod (26) is coupled to the rotation pin (30) of the lateral pinion (32) by means of a cardan joint (31).
  7. Bridge element according to one of claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the locking pin (16) of a corresponding tie-bolt forming member (14) passes through the orifice (17) that defines the raised position of the access nose (9) according to a clearance enabling to bring into abutment the bearing front faces of the access nose (9) and central box (7) upon passage of vehicles on the bridge member (5).
  8. Bridge element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it also comprises means for locking the raisable access nozzle (9) of the bridge member (5) on a fixed access nose (10) of another adjacent bridge member (5) for assembling together the two bridge members and comprising, on each side of the raisable access nozzle (9), a horizontal connecting rod (36) that is mounted onto the pivoting pin (11) of the raisable access nose (9) by means of a toggle joint (37) and fixed to the central box (7) by means of an elastic abutment (38), a vertical connecting rod (41) that is connected to the raisable nose (9) by means of a spherical abutment (42) and to the horizontal connecting rod (36) by means of a socket (43) for the passage of a controlled sliding locking transverse pin (44) arranged on one side of the fixed access nose (10) of the other bridge member (5) at the end thereof, whereby in the locked position of the raised access nose (9) of the bridge member (5) on the fixed access nose (10) of the other bridge member (5), each spherical abutment (42) and each elastic abutment (38) will absorb the lateral efforts that are exerted on the assembled bridge members (5) upon throwing these members (5) above a gap (3) and each vertical connecting rod (41) takes up the vertical efforts that are localized at the end of the fixed access nose (10) upon passage of the vehicles on the assembled bridge members.
  9. Bridge element according to claim 8, characterized in that the spherical abutment (42) comprises a nut (45) with spherical bearing means (46) screwed on the threaded end of the vertical connecting rod (41) and bearing on a conjugated spherical surface (47) of a base member (48) that is fixed onto a support part (49) rigidly connected with the raisable nose (9), the upper part of the vertical connecting rod (41) passing through the support part (49) and base member (48).
  10. Bridge element according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the elastic abutment (38) is fixed between the central box (7) and a radial lug (39) that is rigidly connected with the horizontal connecting rod (36) at its articulation to the central box (7).
  11. Bridge element according to one of claims 8 to 10, characterized in that the means for controlling the movement of the two transverse pins (44) of the fixed access nose (10) of a bridge member (5) comprise a transverse shaft (53) that is rotatably mounted in a casing (54) rigidly connected with the end of the fixed nose (10) ; two threaded rods (55) that are rigidly connected respectively with the two ends of the rotary shaft (53) coaxially thereto and on each one of which is assembled an innerly tapped sleeve that forms a locking transverse pin (44) ; and a means for rotatably driving the rotary shaft (53) in order to move in translation in two opposite directions the two sleeves (16) from a released position to a locked position of the end of the fixed access nose (10) of and to the two sockets (43) for connecting the two horizontal (36) and vertical (41) connecting rods of said raised access nose (9).
  12. Bridge element according to claim 11, characterized in that the means for rotatably driving said rotary shaft (53) comprises a driving rod (58) that passes through the fixed access nose (10) and one end part (58a) of which is rotatably mounted in the support casing (54) of the rotary shaft (53) and carries a conical pinion (60) that is in gearing engagement with another conical pinion (61) rigidly connected with the rotary shaft (53), the other end (58b) of the driving rod (58) being mechanically coupled with a pinion (64) that is rotatably mounted onto the fixed nose (10) on one side thereof and driven by means of a transmission chain.
  13. Bridge element according to claim 12, characterized in that the other end (58b) of the driving rod (58) is coupled to the rotation pin (63) of the lateral pinion (64) by means of a cardan joint (62).
  14. Bridge element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the end of the raisable access nose (9) of the bridge member (5) is fixed to the fixed access nose (10) of the other bridge member (5) by means of two parallel hook forming parts (65) that are rigidly connected with the fixed access nose (10) near the edges thereof and are in engagement respectively in two longitudinal notches (66) made at the end of the raisable access nose (9).
  15. Bridge element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fixed access nose (10) of the other bridge member (5) comprises two lateral square-shaped abutments (67) that are rigidly connected with the end of the fixed access nose (10) and transversally maintains the corresponding part of the raised access nose (9) bearing on the fixed access nose (10) in the assembled position of the two bridge members (5).
  16. Bridge element according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises two bridge members (5) with parallel upper rolling paths and the central boxes (7) of which are connected together by means of two connecting arms (6), and in that the two access noses that are positioned before or behind the two bridge members (5) are fixed (10) and raisable (9), respectively.
