Die Papprollen, die in großer Anzahl anfallen und allenfalls nach einer Sortierung wiederverwendbar wären, werden heute im Rahmen der Altpapieraufbereitung entsorgt. Durch die erfindungsgemäße Verwendung dieser Papprollen zur Ausbildung von Paletten, können die Papprollen nach ihrer Verwendung als Rollenkerne ohne weiteres (gegebenenfalls nach einer Ablängung auf eine gewünschte Länge) einem Zweitnutzen zugeführt werden, bevor die Entsorgung stattfindet. Die die Tragelemente und/oder Auflageelemente wenigstens einer Ebene bildenden Abschnitte von Papprollen können die Originallänge der Rollenkerne aufweisen oder auf die gewünschte Länge der Ebene der Palette abgeschnitten sein. In diesem Fall werden die Ebenen durch liegende, komplette Rollen gebildet. Es ist aber auch möglich, kürzere Abschnitte der Papprollen zu bilden, um damit stehende Abschnitte als Tragelemente zu verwenden, die beispielsweise Füße einer Palette bilden können. Es ist ferner möglich, die Papprollen in Längsrichtung zu teilen und so gebildete Halbschalen als Tragelemente und/oder (vorzugsweise) Auflageelemente zu verwenden.
