Definitions
- the present invention relates to a board for gliding on snow, such as than a ski, a monoski, a surf, etc. of which, at least in the skate area, the face of above consists of a layer of synthetic material, this layer of top not being planar and having, in cross section, a central part raised, shell-shaped, this gliding board being provided with each side, of auxiliary reinforcement edges, of height lower than that of the board in the same cross section thereof, which support the edge corresponding to said top layer.
- a gliding board as defined above is produced according to the concept called ⁇ DUALTEC ⁇ (trademark registered by the company ⁇ SKIS ROSSIGNOL HER. >>).
- a ski of this type is for example the subject of patents and requests for FR-2,683,733, FR-2,683,734, FR-2,703,915 and FR-2,703,916, of the Applicant.
- auxiliary reinforcement edges which are substantially perpendicular to the surface of the sole, are not part of the concept, already very generalized, so-called "shell" skis, since in this case the top layer is a shell which bears directly on the lower edges of the ski.
- the sidewalls have the effect of improving the efficiency of the ski compared to an ordinary hull ski, by the fact that they increase the efficiency of the transmission of the forces exerted by the skier on the upper surface of the ski, at the lower metal edges, that is to say in fact at the sliding surface.
- the invention proposes to improve, on a ski (or other board of sliding on snow) realized according to the concept ⁇ DUALTEC ⁇ above, the transmission of impulses of the skier in the snow by optimizing the binding of the shoe bindings from skier to ski or other board to glide on snow.
- skate area the intermediate area, located between the front and the back of the board, and on which the shoe bindings.
- said rigid platform comprises at least two feet.
- said edges of reinforcement each have, over at least a limited length located in the skate area and including said recesses, at least a portion clearly wider than the rest of the song.
- Reinforcement edges can either be located at the area of skate, the latter encompassing the feet of said platform, either they can extend over the entire bearing length of the board.
- ⁇ load-bearing length ⁇ of a board for sliding on snow is the length of its contact surface with the ground when the user is standing on his board.
- ski runway 1 or ⁇ alpine ski ⁇ which is of the type called ⁇ DUALTEC ⁇ and which is provided with on each side of the ski and in the skate area, a lateral reinforcement edge 2, 3 resting on the respective lower edge 4, 5.
- Ski 1 is, according to the invention, designed to receive, in its area of skate, a rigid platform 12 for receiving and raising the fasteners 13A, 13B of the skier's shoe.
- This platform 12 is monolithic, therefore comprising only one single top plate. It has an inverted U-shaped cross section and a general appearance of a four-legged coffee table 14, each of these legs coming fit into four conjugate female recesses 15 of the ski hull 1, so as to rest firmly, in these recesses or notches 15, on the corresponding ranges 20 and 30 of the reinforcement edges, the latter being widened accordingly along the length of these notches.
- the width L1 of the spans 20 and 30 of the reinforcement edges 2 and 3 has, over the length L2 of these recesses, 15, a value equal to or greater than that L0 of the corresponding and substantially flat and horizontal edge of the shell 10 (doubled by its reinforcement 11), by which it rests on the side edge of corresponding reinforcement 2 or 3.
- Each of these recesses 15 is therefore length L2 substantially corresponding to that of the conjugate leg 14 of the platform and of width L0 at least equal to the width of the base of this foot 14 which thus rests flat on almost all of the offset 15.
- the single platform 12 represents at least three 14 feet by which it rests on the wings of the hull and therefore on the edges correspondents 2 and 3, because it is thus more flexible and lighter than a conventional platform with continuous side wings.
- This monolithic platform 12 allows, by its conformation, to unleash the ski in relation to the binding of the boot ensuring a constant distance between the front stop and the rear heel of this binding.
- the rigid platform 12 is fixed to the edges 2, 3 at screw means 16 after the positioning operation in the four notches 15. It then rests only on these songs 2, 3 by its feet 14 (with here interposition two layers of material constituted by the shell 10 and by its reinforcement 11), because these are high enough so that a free space is then created 17 between the upper surface 18 of the ski and the lower face of this platform 12. The skier's effort is then exerted, via the platform 12, his feet 14, and the songs 2, 3, directly on the edges 4, 5, which is the main object of the invention.
- the thickness and the shape of the platform 12 are chosen such that the screws 31 for holding the fasteners 13A, 13B do not penetrate into the shell 10.
- each of the four recesses 15 advantageously has a value of the order of 3 centimeters, and it it is obviously the same for the corresponding dimensions of each foot 14.
- the longitudinal distance D between the two pairs of hooks in look corresponds to a space, located in the skate area, which is advantageously of the order of 40 centimeters.
- the platform 12 could be itself the base, conventionally produced in the form of a slide, for fixing the shoe, this platform and slide therefore receiving the body of the front stop and / or the heel piece.
- the feet 14 of the platform 12 could be of a width (at the base) which is less or preferably substantially equal to that L1 of the reinforcement edges 2 and 3.
- the feet 14 of the platform 12 could also either rest directly on these edges 2 and 3, and then layers 10 and 11 would be absent at this place, either rest on these songs through only one of these two layers, 10 or 11, and then the other layer, 11 or 12 would then be absent at this place, which would in no way prevent you from planning to interpose a viscoelastic layer between each foot 14 and edge 2 or 3 on which it rests, directly or indirectly therefore.
- the space 17 which is formed between the platform 12 and the top 18 of the ski could be filled with a layer of viscoelastic material instead of being a single layer of air.
- This platform 12 could have six feet 14 instead of four, or even more, and there would then be an equal number of recesses 15 in the ski 1.
- the platform 14 could be asymmetrical relative to its longitudinal axis, i.e. relative to the longitudinal plane median 6 of the ski, and it would eventually be the same, so conjugate, for any enlarged portions 20, 30 of the edges 2, 3 as well that then for their combined recesses 15 of the shell 10.
- the platform 12 could have fewer feet 14 of the side of the inside edge of the ski, or more generally on the inside of the ski when both skis are worn at the skier’s feet, the other side (or side outside), this in order to unclamp the ski even more in flexion.
- the platform 12 could only have three feet 14, including one foot on the inside of the ski (internal edge) and two feet on the outside of the ski (external edge).
- the ski considered is not necessarily a ski with edges metallic. It could very well be a ski with no edges on its lower side edges, as is currently the case for a large majority of cross-country skis.
- the platform 12 is here a metallic platform, for example in aluminum alloy. It could also be made of another rigid material, such as composite material (glass-epoxy fabric, reinforced polyurethane, ).
- the platform 2 for receiving the fasteners 13A, 13B could be made in two parts, including a front part receiving the front part 13A of the binding, or ée stopper ⁇ , and a rear part receiving the part rear 13B of the binding, or ⁇ heel piece ⁇ .
- the front part of the platform 12 is then provided to be anchored in the edges 2, 3 of the ski by fixing screws 16, or the like, according to FIG.
- this platform 12 comprises, like the figure 7, pads 27, 28 of viscoelastic material under each of its feet 14, these viscoelastic layers 27, 28 being on the one hand glued under their respective feet 14, and being on the other hand respectively stuck on the two receiving wings X, Y of the shell 10, on which they rest respectively.
- This provision makes it possible to avoid even more effectively the clamping of the ski.
- the platform 12 which is monolithic, only has 14 feet at the front of this platform, through which it rests on the reinforcement edges 2, 3 like all the platforms 12 previously described.
- FIG. 12 illustrates a final embodiment which is differs from those according to FIGS. 1 to 8 by the fact that the platform 12, which is monolithic, has 14 feet only in its longitudinal, middle part 12M (two feet are provided for example in the nonlimiting example shown, but it could also be provided for four feet), so that its front part 12A and its rear part 12B are both cantilevered with respect to this part median 12M, and are located a short distance ⁇ e ⁇ above the surface superior 18 of skiing.
