Description

The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner hose according to the preamble of the first claim.

A vacuum cleaner hose is known, on the suction hose of which a plastic handle is attached, to which, on the other hand, a particularly metallic suction pipe can be attached. The handle contains a continuous air duct channel piece and is provided with a handle part to be encompassed by hand. The disadvantage here is that the necessary tightness of the air duct piece affects the ergonomic design of the handle.

The invention has for its object to take a vacuum cleaner hose according to the preamble of the first claim measures by which a simple, inexpensive structure is achieved.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of the first claim.

In one embodiment of a vacuum cleaner hose according to the invention, a self-made one-piece air duct tube is inserted into a handle formed from two half-shells, which can be connected at one end to the suction hose and the other end of which protrudes outwards from the half-shells as a plug-in coupling part and for attaching an extension tube or the Connection piece of a suction tool is formed. The half-shells can therefore be designed freely from an ergonomic point of view and shaped to accommodate electrical components such as switching devices, electrical plug-in couplings or rotating slip ring couplings. Sealing of the parting lines of the half-shells is not necessary due to the use of the separate air duct tube, which can be angled several times and the surface design of which, at least within the half-shells, can be designed accordingly in terms of manufacturing technology. The suction hose can be placed tightly on one end of the air duct pipe within the half-shells. However, it is possible to attach the hose to a bushing of an electrical rotary coupling provided with slip rings, the bushing being able to be rotatably mounted on or on the associated end of the air duct tube within the half-shells, the associated fixed sliding contacts being held stationary in at least one half-shell . Preferably, the handle piece is provided with a special handle bracket, offset from the air duct channel piece, in which electrical lines lead from the rotary coupling to a switching element, which is associated with the handle bracket and which can be operated manually, and which is electrically connected to a plug socket which is located at the transition from the handle half-shells and the protruding therefrom Coupling section of the air duct pipe is arranged. The socket is particularly attached to brackets, which are provided on the one hand on the half-shells and on the other hand on the air duct pipe. A particular advantage results from the fact that the handle part and in particular the handle bar can be provided with an exposed electrical conductor, which preferably is inserted in a parting line of the half-shells and is touched manually when gripping the grip part. This electrical conductor, which is preferably designed as a relatively stiff wire, extends from the handle part to the coupling section of the air duct tube projecting outward from the half-shells and is also freely accessible on the lateral surface and forms an open electrical contact that occurs when a metal tube is pushed on with it in electrically conductive connection. Electrostatic voltages occurring on the metallic or metallized suction pipe during suction operation are thereby dissipated via this electrical conductor. When the suction pipe is accessed, the operator receives no electric shock.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of the sketches of an exemplary embodiment.

  • Fig. 3 is a partial view of the handle in the region of a free coupling section.

A vacuum cleaner hose has a manually operated handle 1 which is connected at one end to a suction hose 2. The handle 1 consists of two longitudinally divided half-shells 3, of which in the Figures only one is shown to show the internal structure. The second mirror-shaped half-shell is placed as a conclusion on the arrangement according to the figures and held together in the area of screw connection means 4 and a bayonet lock ring 5 provided at the transition to the suction hose. The half-shells 3 form a continuous air duct piece 6, which encloses an inserted one-piece air duct tube 7. At the same time, the half-shells 3 are provided in the central region with a grip part designed as a handle bracket 8, which spans the central section of the air duct piece in a bridge-like manner, so that a passage opening 9 is formed. The air duct pipe 7 is an independent component and is held between the half-shells 3 with a clamp. It can therefore be slightly bent several times with a free surface design and does not have a separating joint in the longitudinal direction, which could result in leaks or require special sealing measures. The multiple, in this case triple kinking of the air duct tube 7 enables adaptation to the necessary ergonomic design of the entire handle. In particular, sealing measures in the joint area between the half-shells are therefore superfluous. This construction makes it possible in a particularly simple manner to mount the suction hose 2 rotatably on the air duct pipe 7 and, in particular, to provide an electrical rotary coupling, the bushing 11 provided with slip rings 10 of which is connected on the one hand in an airtight manner to the suction hose 2 and which on the other hand is rotatable and secured against axial displacement is arranged on the associated end of the air duct 7 within the space enclosed by the half-shells 3 to protect it against manual access. The half-shells 3 and the air duct pipe 7 consist of electrically insulating material. Fixed slip contacts 12 are assigned to the slip rings and are fixed on a common carrier 13 at least in a half-shell 3. In addition, a trouble-free installation of electrical line connections 17 and further, manually operated switching devices 14 is possible, which can be held in adapted recesses between the half-shells 3 at the transition of the handle 8 to the freely projecting coupling section 15 of the air duct pipe 7. In the area of the coupling section 15, an electrical socket 16 with plug contacts oriented axially parallel to the coupling section 15 can also be inserted between the wall of the half-shells 3 and the coupling section 15, the socket 16, the switching device 14 and the slip ring arrangement 10, 12 by means of electrical lines 17 are connected, which run through the hollow handle 8 and a corresponding cavity between the switching device 14 and the socket 16.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the construction of two half-shells 3 creates the possibility of forming an electrical line connection between the handle bar 8 and the coupling connection 15. For this purpose, an electrical conductor 18, in particular a relatively stiff metal wire following the contour of the handle bar 8, is inserted into the joint facing the air guide channel piece 6 in the area of the handle bar 8, which is possibly guided in an adapted jacket longitudinal groove of the air channel tube 7 into the coupling section 15 and is freely accessible there on the lateral surface, so that when a metal tube is attached, an electrical contact 19 is resilient in the radial direction in an electrically conductive connection with the corresponding shaping of the metal wire 18 Metal pipe occurs. Electrostatic charges occurring on the metal tube during suction operation are thus conveyed directly to the operator by their engagement with the electrical conductor 18, so that electrostatic charges are discharged via the operator during operation or at least there is no voltage potential difference when the handle 8 is detected with the other hand the metallic suction pipe is touched. The socket 16 is otherwise fixed on the one hand on a bracket 20 provided on the coupling section 15 and on the other hand within the half-shells 3.
