Claims (3)
- Combination lock having four setting knobs, which are arranged in a rectangle in the lock case (1), and having a handle, which drives a bolt (5) controlled by the setting knobs,wherein the lock case base (1e) has four bearing bushes (1e, 1f, 1g, 1i), on which are supported four base discs (7, 8, 9, 10) provided with a number (n) of teeth, wherein each base disc in its lateral surface has a radial slot (7a, 8a, 9a, 10a),wherein a cross-shaped detecting interlock (11) is pivotally supported between the base discs (7 - 10) and has four bumps (11b, 11c, 11d, 11e), which fit into the slots of the base discs, and a locking square (11a), which engages into the bolt,wherein detent discs (13, 14, 15, 16) provided with a number (n) of teeth and with a square socket are supported on the base discs (7 - 10), each detent disc (13 - 16) having a number (n) of tapered bores,wherein the setting knobs provided with square shafts and a number (n) of numbers or figures engage into the detent discs,wherein the number (n) of teeth of the base discs, the number (n) of teeth and the number (n) of conical bores of the detent discs and the number (n) of numbers or letters of the setting knobs are identical,wherein each base disc (7 - 10) has a paraxial bore, wherein each bore has a coupling pin (23 - 26) provided with tapered ends,wherein said pins may engage into tapered bores (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d) of a resetting plate (6) and into one of the conical bores of the detent discs (13 - 16),wherein the pivotally supported resetting plate (6) is operated by a follower (2) of the lock bolt (5),wherein the resetting plate (6) during extension of the lock bolt (5) is swivelled in such a way that it presses up the coupling pins (23 - 26) and couples the base discs (7 - 10) to the detent discs (13 - 16) with the result that, after closure of the cabinet, the combination may be concealed by rotating the setting knobs whereas, in the retracted state of the lock bolt (5), a tapered bore of the resetting plate (6) lies opposite each coupling pin (23 - 26) with the result that the base discs (7 - 10) and the detent discs (13 - 16) are uncoupled so that each rotation of the setting knobs effects the setting of a new combination.
- Combination lock according to claim 1, characterized in that the follower (2) of the lock bolt (5) drives a setting slide (3), the locking pins (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) of which engage into the teeth of the base discs (7, 8, 9, 10), so that the setting knobs are blocked when the handle is under load.
- Combination lock according to claim 1, characterized in that a double bit lock is provided with an emergency bolt 19, the mandrel (19a) of which releases a spring-loaded detecting lever (12), the lugs (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) of which upon adjustment of the setting knobs drop successively into the slots (7a, 8a, 9a, 10a) of the base discs (7, 8, 9, 10) and hold them fast in their opening position so that subsequently, upon operation of the handle, the bumps (11b, 11c, 11d, 11e) of the detecting interlock may engage and the lock bolt (5) is retractable.
