Description

The present invention relates to a tillage machine with a chassis, a tillage unit and an operating and / or control unit for the processing unit provided on the rear of the machine, the tillage unit built on the chassis being a container unit with at least one container for holding liquid and / or solid Fabrics and other units, such as batteries, motors, pumps, blowers, separators includes.

Soil cultivation machines of this type are known for a wide variety of uses, for example as floor cleaning machines in which the container is used to hold fresh and / or used cleaning liquid, as suction machines in particular for external surfaces in which the container is designed as a dirt collecting container, as grinding machines in particular for parquet floors to which the container is used to collect the grinding dust, or the like. Although the invention is described below with the aid of floor cleaning machines, it is not restricted to them. In the the claims under protection relate rather to all generic tillage machines to which it can be applied with the same advantages as in the case of the floor cleaning machines described below.

Depending on the intended use, floor cleaning machines of the generic type can be designed in particular as scrubbing machines, sweeping machines, carpet cleaning machines or the like. They are known, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,277,511 or German Utility Model 91 15 713. A disadvantage of the known floor cleaning machines is that they cannot be used to clean the floor under tables or the like. Rather, tables should be cleared aside before the carpet or floor under them can be cleaned. This is due to the fact that the height of the known floor cleaning machine hardly allows tables to be driven under. The overall height, in turn, is determined in the known floor cleaning machines by the size of the container unit for the cleaning liquid, which cannot be reduced in size, without adversely affecting the possible service life of the floor cleaning machine.

The present invention has for its object to provide a generic tillage machine with which an unobstructed processing of the floor is possible by objects located above the floor, such as tables, storage racks and the like. In the case of floor cleaning machines, cleaning of the floor should also be possible under tables. The floor cleaning machine should not lag behind the known floor cleaning machines with regard to its performance data (cleaning performance, duration of use), but should rather be improved.

According to the present invention, this object is achieved in that at least one container of the container unit is suspended so that it can be changed in position and / or can be changed in shape, so that the height of its upper edge above the floor can be varied. In this case, no fixed unit or other component is provided in the working direction in front of the container unit, the upper edge of which is at the same level or even higher than the maximum height of the upper edge of the container, which can be changed in position and / or shape. Which is largely determined by the dimensions of the container unit The overall height of the machine can thus be adapted to the respective operating conditions. At least in the area within which the height of its upper edge can be varied, the container unit is not surrounded by a fixed housing, a fixed cover, cladding or the like; here either no cover is provided at all, or it can be easily removed or lowered when operating the machine with a reduced overall height. In the area below the minimum height, the container can also be clad with a fixed cover.

Further aspects of the floor cultivation machine according to the invention are illustrated and explained below using a floor cleaning machine designed according to the invention. The invention is not restricted to such floor cleaning machines.

The variability of the position of the upper edge of the at least one container above the floor can be technically realized in various ways. In a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the container unit consists of a plurality of containers exists, of which at least one is mounted in a positionally variable manner. The at least one position-changeable container can then be brought into a higher or lower position as required. In a particularly preferred embodiment, it is accordingly provided that the container unit comprises two containers which are mounted so as to be pivotable about a horizontal axis. If the floor or carpet is to be cleaned under a table, the two swiveling containers can be swiveled downwards about their corresponding swivel axes. The container unit expediently comprises, in addition to its two positionally variable containers, a further, fixed container; this is preferably arranged directly under the pivotable containers (in their pivoted-up position).

In a further preferred embodiment of the floor cleaning machine according to the invention, the container unit comprises two containers, each of which can be assigned an inclined guide. These inclined guides allow the two assigned containers to be shifted downwards and outwards, if necessary, which also reduces the overall height of the container unit above the floor. In this case too The container unit can comprise a further, fixed container, which is expediently arranged directly under the movable containers. Compared to the embodiment with the swiveling containers, this configuration has the advantage that the overall height can be adjusted continuously and adapted to the boundary conditions.

It is also possible that a single pivotable container or one which can be moved along an inclined guide is provided; in this case, however, special care must be taken to ensure that the loads on the individual wheels do not change too much when the container is brought from its normal to its lowered position.

In the developments of the floor cleaning machine described above, in which the reduction in the overall height of the container goes hand in hand with an increase in the overall width of the floor cleaning machine, it is particularly expedient to provide additional cleaning elements which change the position and which clean the floor below the position-changing containers which are pivoted or shifted downwards . Such additional changeable Cleaning elements are described, for example, in German Patent 41 03 087. In the case of floor cleaning machines constructed in this way with additional cleaning elements which can be shifted in position, the working width of the floor cleaning machine can be optimally adapted to the overall width of its structure, which changes when the overall height varies.

In a further preferred embodiment of the floor cleaning machine according to the invention, it is provided that the at least one container has at least two housing parts which can be moved into one another and a variable-volume balloon or bellows arranged therein for holding the cleaning liquid. In the case of such a floor cleaning machine, the volume changes when the vertical extent, ie the height of the container, varies. With a correspondingly reduced volume of the container and thus a lowered upper part of the container, the floor can also be cleaned under tables or the like. A further advantageous effect of such a floor cleaning machine can be seen in the fact that by presetting a certain maximum volume of the container, the pressure exerted by the floor cleaning machine on the floor can be specified. This is particularly important with regard to cleaning floors where the maximum permissible load must not be exceeded; this is the case, for example, with sports hall floors.

It is expediently provided in the floor cleaning machine according to the invention that the height of the respective upper edge of the fixedly arranged units associated with the processing unit is substantially less than the maximum height of the at least one container. In this way it is ensured that the further aggregates assigned to the tillage unit do not hinder the moving of tables and the like at a relatively great depth when the container or containers are lowered. In this respect, this development is preferred over such an embodiment of the machine in which the fixed units are built up behind the container unit up to the maximum height of the container unit. Because in the latter embodiment, the floor cleaning machine could only be pushed under tables or the like, even with the containers lowered, until the fixed units abut the table edge or the like.

In a preferred development of the floor cleaning machine according to the invention, it is provided that the operating and control unit is connected to the chassis in a positionally variable manner. In particular, the operating and control unit can be hinged to the chassis about a horizontal axis. By moving the operating and control unit downward, in particular pivoting, in such a floor cleaning machine, it also prevents the cleaning of floors under tables or the like. Because while in floor cleaning machines with a fixed operating and control unit the floor cleaning machine can only be pushed under the table up to the stop of the operating and control unit at the edge of the table, even with a reduced overall height of the container, the corresponding floor cleaning machine can be completely underneath when the operating and control unit is swiveled down push the table. Compared to other technical solutions for changing the position of the operating and control unit, for example a linear displacement downwards, there is the further advantage with an operating and control unit which can be pivoted backwards and downwards that the distance between the cleaning brushes and the operating and Control unit enlarged in its swiveled down position; this is a significant advantage especially when working under large tables, because the floor cleaning machine, which is pushed far under the table, can also be operated without the operator having to crawl under the table.

Another significant advantage of the floor cleaning machine designed in this way is that it is much easier to transport from one place of use to the other than with known floor cleaning machines. Because while the latter require a van or small truck to transport them, the floor cleaning machine according to the invention can, if the overall height is reduced, be accommodated in a station wagon. The storage of the floor cleaning machine according to the invention is considerably easier because of the smaller space requirement when the liquid container is lowered than is the case with known floor cleaning machines.

The basic structure of the respective scrubber-dryer shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 is known. On a chassis 1, which is supported on wheels 2 on the floor 3, units assigned to the cleaning unit are built. These are, in particular, the drive motor 4 of the main scrub brush 5 arranged on the front, the accumulator unit 6, the pump unit 7 for the cleaning liquid and the suction and separation unit 8. The latter is connected to the suction strip 10 arranged at the rear via the suction hose 9. To operate the An operating and control unit 11 is provided on the rear of the scrubber-drier, which comprises two handles 12 and an instrument panel 13.

Über - nicht dargestellte - Schlauchverbindungen sind die beiden lageveränderlichen Behälter 15 und 16 in jeder Stellung mit dem fest angeordneten Behälter 14 verbunden.1 and 2, the container unit for the cleaning liquid comprises three sub-containers, namely a fixed container 14 and two position-changing containers 15, 16. Each of the two position-changing containers of the container unit is connected via hinges 17 with a horizontal pivot axis at the upper edge 18 of the side wall 19 of the housing is pivoted. The two position-changing containers 15 and 16 can thus be pivoted sideways outwards and downwards (into the position shown in broken lines) to reduce the overall height of the container unit according to the arrows A (FIG. 2) until their side wall 20 on the side wall 19 of the Housing. The two position-changing containers 15 and 16 are connected in each position to the fixed container 14 via hose connections (not shown).

The working width of the scrubber drier according to FIGS. 1 and 2 is thereby to the the swiveling down of the positionally variable containers 15 and 16 increased overall width of the structure of the scrubber-dryer adapted that the two additional brush devices 21 are pivoted out, as indicated in Fig. 2 for the - in the working direction - left additional brush device with dashed lines.

The operating and control unit 11 is arranged at the upper end of a housing section 22 which is connected to the chassis via a hinge 23 with a pivot axis which runs horizontally transverse to the direction of travel. For work under tables or the like, the housing section 22 together with the operating and control unit 11 can be pivoted backwards and downwards according to the arrow B (FIG. 1), so that when the containers 15 and 16 and housing section 22 are pivoted down and the housing section 22 is pivoted down, the total height of the Scrubber drier is not larger than the upper edge 18 of the fixed housing. The handles 12 each have a section with an almost horizontal course in their upper region, which enables the operator to safely and conveniently guide the scrubber-drier even when the housing section 22 is pivoted down. At the bottom In the area of the housing section 22, the controller 24 of the cleaning unit is arranged.

The scrubber drier according to FIGS. 3 and 4 differs from that according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in that the two position-changing containers 15 and 16 are mounted on linear guides 25 which run obliquely outwards and downwards. As a result, the two containers 15 and 16 can be moved obliquely downwards and outwards by moving them in the direction of the arrows C (FIG. 4), as a result of which the overall height of the container unit is reduced (cf. the maximum lowered position shown in broken lines in FIG. 4) of the two containers 15 and 16). To move the - in the filled state - heavy containers 15 and 16 along the linear guides 25 - not shown - electric spindle drives are provided.

The scrubber drier shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, unlike the one according to FIGS. 1 and 2, does not have additional brush devices which can change position. With a corresponding design of the lowerable container 15 and 16 in such a way that there remains enough space for the additional brush device even under the lowered state, such can be provided without further ado.

As in the scrubber-drier according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the housing section 22 carrying the operating and control unit 11 is connected to the chassis 1 via the joint 23, so that it pivots downward and rearward according to the arrow B (FIG. 3) can be. 3 and 4, the same units are built on the chassis as in the case of the scrubber-drier according to FIGS. 1 and 2, namely the drive motor 4 for the main brush 5, the accumulator unit 6, the pump unit 7 for the cleaning liquid and the suction and separation unit 8.

In the scrubber-dryer shown in FIG. 5, the container for the cleaning liquid comprises a housing 26 and a variable-volume balloon 31 arranged therein for receiving the cleaning liquid. The maximum overall height of the container can be varied in that the housing of the container is constructed from two components 26a and 26b which can be pushed into one another. The lower housing section 26a comprises a cylindrical wall 27 and a bottom 28; the upper housing section 26b also comprises a cylindrical wall 29 and a cover plate 30. The upper housing section can be found in the lower housing section move vertically. If part of the cleaning liquid is used up, or if the container is only partially filled for work under tables or the like from the start, the cleaning liquid only requires a corresponding proportion of the maximum volume of the container. The upper section 26b of the housing can thus be moved in accordance with the arrow D in the lower housing section 26a to adjust the container volume. 5 corresponds to that of the floor cleaning machine according to FIGS. 1 and 2, so that reference can be made to the corresponding explanations above.
