Durch die WO 90/13771 ist ein Tapetenablösegerät dieser Art bekannt. Die Grifföffnung des zum Transport des Dampfgenerators vorgesehenen, in dessen Deckel integrierten Tragegriffes ist hierbei nur durch eine Zwischenwand von dem Dampfraum des Kessels getrennt, so daß der Tragegriff zwangsläufig mit aufgeheizt wird und Verbrennungen bei einer Berührung der Zwischenwand mitunter unvermeidbar sind. Des weiteren ist die Gefahr, daß insbesondere bei Altern einer zwischen dem Kessel und dem Deckel angeordneten Dichtung die Verbindung zwischen diesen Teilen undicht wird und somit heißer Dampf aus dem Kessel ausströmt, sehr groß. Auch ist von Nachteil, daß aus dem unmittelbar neben dem Tragegriff in den Deckel eingesetzten Sicherheitsventil bei einem entsprechenden Überdruck im Dampfgenerator der heiße Dampf nach allen Seiten und somit auch in Richtung des Tragegriffes abströmt. Verbrühungen durch den heißen Dampf sind somit, sofern sich eine Person in der Nähe des Dampfgenerators befindet, nahezu unvermeidbar. Und da das Sicherheitsventil von oben ungeschützt in dem Deckel angeordnet ist, kann dieses durch abgelöste Tapetenteile leicht verkleben und in seiner Funktion beeinträchtigt werden. Bei Verwendung der bekannten Vorrichtung ist somit die Gefahr, daß aufgrund der hohen Betriebstemperatur des Arbeitsmediums und insbesondere des dieses erzeugenden Dampfgenerators Arbeitsunfälle in Kauf zu nehmen sind, außerordentlich groß, zumal die Wandungen des Kessels und des Deckels glattflächig ausgebildet sind, und demnach kein Berührungsschutz gegeben ist. Vorrichtung (1) zum Ablösen von Tapeten oder dgl. von einem Träger mittels Wasserdampf, bestehend aus einem Dampfgenerator (2) und einer mit diesem über einen flexiblen Dampfschlauch (4) verbundenen Dampfplatte (3) zur Ausbringung des Dampfes, wobei der Dampfgenerator (2) einen befüllbaren durch einen mit einem Tragegriff (31) versehenen Deckel (21) verschließbaren Kessel (11) und ein elektrisches Heizelement (16) zum Erhitzen des in diesem befindlichen Wassers aufweist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der an dem Deckel (21) des Dampfgenerators (2) vorgesehene Tragegriff (31) thermisch von dem Deckel (21) getrennt an diesem befestigt ist.
