Definitions
- the present invention relates to a master blade for circular saw blades and / or abrasive cut-off wheels, consisting of a circular disk body consisting at least partially of a plastic material reinforced with embedded fibers.
- a circumferential grinding wheel which consists of an inner hub part and an outer rim part which carries a grinding ring made of abrasive bodies, the hub and rim being prestressed - and thus performing the function of "spokes” - wires, Fibers or threads are interconnected.
- the "spokes” are embedded in plastic.
- a conventional fiber reinforcement formed by fabric mats is said to be embedded in the plastic.
- DE-A-2 045 814 describes a saw blade made of synthetic resin, which contains radially running, relatively wide with 7.5 cm bands made of boron epoxy. Each band in turn contains boron threads running in the longitudinal direction of the band and therefore parallel to one another. The individual bands each intersect radially and run radially through the center of the sheet. Here, however, the boron threads serve primarily to produce the cutting effect by ending on the outer circumference of the sheet and thus acting as a "cutting or grinding covering".
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating the problems described and, starting from the prior art mentioned, creating a master blade which guarantees optimum running properties and machining results under practically all operating conditions and which also has a long service life.
- the fibers are arranged in a plurality of superimposed, integrally connected, flat, circular fiber layers which are concentric with the disk body, the fibers in a first type of fiber layer being at least approximately in relation to the disk body radial direction are arranged in a straight line, and in a second type of fiber layer the fibers have an at least approximately circular course which is essentially concentric with the disk body, and the two types of fiber layers having a function of the size of the disk body selected distribution (order of stacking) are arranged in the base sheet.
- the respective radially aligned fibers bring about a high stability of the main blade in the radial direction, and the fibers, which are aligned essentially in a circular shape, stabilize the blade in the circumferential direction, ie against bending around the radial direction, a particular advantage to be emphasized that the mechanical properties over the
- the scope of the master sheet according to the invention is practically absolutely constant, because in contrast to the prior art, the fiber orientation according to the invention and distribution practically achieved an "isotropy" within the base sheet.
- each fiber layer has a central opening, so that it is thus designed in the form of an annular disk, the individual fiber layers of the base sheet being of different sizes in particular with regard to their inside / outside diameter ratio.
- the distribution of these fiber layers within the base sheet, which differ in their diameter ratios, is also carried out according to the invention in adaptation to the dimensions (diameter, thickness) of the base sheet in such a way that an optimal "stability distribution" can be achieved within the base sheet according to the invention.
- the fibers are thus aligned as precisely as possible in the respective orientation, but are embedded in the plastic material of the base sheet essentially without tension.
- the radial fibers end at both ends "blind”, i.e. apart from a material connection to the plastic material that is present over their entire length, they are not particularly supported at the end, i.e. not "tied up”.
- the essentially circularly oriented fibers can advantageously be laid in the corresponding layers as a continuous material in a spiral shape, so that the alignment deviates very slightly from the ideal circular shape, but this does not cause any disadvantage.
- the fibers are arranged so close together in each fiber layer that a high fiber density is achieved.
- the volume fraction of the fiber material is about 60-70% by volume.
- any fiber material could be used, for example glass fibers.
- HM high modulus
- HT high-strength
- the master blade according to the invention is characterized by optimal running properties under almost all operating conditions, by a low weight and by a long service life (durability).
- a master sheet 1 according to the invention is simplified, ie without extensive cutting elements.
- the master blade 1 consists of a circular disc body 2, which in turn at least partially, but mainly, consists of a plastic material 6 reinforced with embedded fibers 4; see FIGS. 2 and 3.
- the disk body 2 preferably has a central mounting opening 8.
- cutting elements 14 can be fastened via a holding device 12, which will be explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 6 to 10.
- the fibers 4 are arranged according to the invention in a plurality of fiber layers 16, 18 lying one above the other, integrally connected, flat, circular disk-shaped and concentric with the disk body 2.
- two different types of fiber layers are provided, namely that in a first type of fiber layer 16, illustrated by way of example in FIGS. 4A to 4D, the fibers 4 are at least approximately radial with respect to the disk body 2 Aligned in a straight line and arranged in a distribution that is uniform over the circumference and is preferably arranged as close together as possible.
- the fibers 4 have an at least approximately circular, to the disc body 2 substantially concentric Ver run, where they are preferably as close together as possible and even in the radial direction are distributed (more evenly than it might appear in Fig. 5).
- these two types of fiber layers 16, 18 are now adapted to the dimensions (diameter and thickness) of the disk body 2, ie to the "stabilization distribution" required for these dimensions, each with a specific one for the Thickness required number and with a certain distribution (order of stacking; "combination" of the two types of layers 16, 18) arranged in the disc body 2.
- the disk body 2 is composed of many more (a plurality of) layers 16, 18, the layers 16 with the radially oriented fibers 4 preferably predominating quantitatively.
- each fiber layer 16, 18 has a central opening 20 and is thus designed in the form of an annular disk. It is now provided according to the invention that the individual fiber layers 16, 18 with regard to their inner and / or outer diameter, i.e. with regard to their diameter ratios (inner diameter to outer diameter), to be designed differently from layer to layer. This can be clearly seen in FIGS. 4A to 4D.
- the disk body 2 is formed from these fiber layers 16, 18, which differ by the type of fiber orientation and / or by the diameter ratios, these layers being stacked on one another in a specific distribution that is optimized for the respective dimensions of the disk body 2 with regard to stabilization and connected (embedded) uniformly with synthetic resin material.
- the individual fiber layers 16, 18 are each prefabricated as foils 22 (FIGS. 4A to D and 5), for which purpose the fibers 4 are initially on a carrier layer (not recognizable in the drawing) ) aligned and pre-fixed and then glued with a synthetic resin. After the synthetic resin has hardened, individual foils 22 are formed, which can be handled well in the further manufacture of the disc body 2 for stacking.
- the individual fiber layers 16, 18 also on the finished disc body 2 i.e. can be clearly seen from a section through this disk body 2, since one of the carrier layers is in particular arranged between the layers.
- This can preferably be carrier nets, since these promote the integral connection between the layers, since they can be penetrated by the plastic material without further ado.
- the disc body 2 consists of three parallel layers, namely two outer layers 24 and 26 formed from the fiber layers 16, 18 and one between them arranged middle layer 28.
- the middle layer 28 could likewise be formed from fiber layers, roughly analogously to the outer layers 24, 26, but in the preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention the middle layer 28 consists of individual fillers, in particular prefabricated from fiber-reinforced plastic, and / or from one other filling material, in particular plastic reinforced with nonwoven. This nonwoven then preferably consists of HF carbon fibers.
- these prefabricated filler pieces these are preferably reinforced with carbide carbon fibers, these fibers then running in particular in the same direction within the filler pieces; it is a so-called "unidirectional clutch".
- the two outer layers 24, 26 are related
- the disk body 2 preferably has a wear protection coating 32 on each of its two opposite surfaces, each of which is formed in particular by a polyester fabric.
- These surface wear protection coatings 32 protect the fibers 4, which are fundamentally somewhat sensitive to friction or abrasion, from wear.
- a material as known under the trademark "Diolen” is preferably used for these coatings 32.
- the disc body 2 has 30 channels 34 for a cooling medium in the region of its center plane, these channels 34 running from the inner surface region of the disc body 2 to its outer periphery 10 through the center layer 28.
- the disk body In its inner surface area, the disk body has 2 inflow openings 36 (see FIGS. 1 and 3), each of which extends in the axial direction through the one outer layer 24 into the middle layer 28 and there merge into one of the channels 34.
- the channels 34 run in particular radially and open outward on the outer circumference 10 of the disk body 2.
- the master blade 1 according to the invention is mounted with the central mounting opening 8 on a suitable clamping flange, not shown, this clamping flange then also serving to supply a cooling medium which is introduced into the inflow openings 36 and thus into the channels 34.
- a one-part or multi-part retaining ring 40 is preferably fastened in the outer peripheral region of the disk body 2 on each of its two sides. These two retaining rings 40 lie in parallel planes, and the outer circumference of the disk body 2 is arranged in regions between these retaining rings 40.
- each retaining ring 40 is arranged recessed in an annular recess in the disk body 2 (see in particular FIGS. 9 and 10) in such a way that the outer surfaces of the disk body 2 and the retaining rings 40 each lie in a continuous plane.
- the retaining rings 40 are preferably attached to the disk body 2 by riveting, rivets 42 extending through aligned bores in the retaining rings 40 and the disk body 2 as shown in FIG. 9.
- the rivets 42 are preferably formed as countersunk rivets and consist in particular of copper.
- the retaining rings 40 are preferably made of steel.
- the retaining rings 40 protrude at least slightly beyond the outer circumference 10 of the disk body 2 in the radial direction.
- segment retaining elements 44 are now fastened according to the invention, in an arrangement that is uniformly distributed over the circumference and is spaced apart from one another; see in particular FIGS. 6 and 7.
- the segment holder elements 44 are preferably welded to the retaining rings 40.
- each cutting element 14 can be fastened in each case by means of a clamping connection which brings about a positive connection.
- each cutting element 14 consists of a foot 46 and a cutting surface 48 fastened to it, in particular soldered on and preferably diamond-tipped.
- the segment holder elements 44 and the feet 46 of the cutting elements 14 are each engaged according to the invention, in particular via prism-shaped guide surfaces 50, 52.
- the guide surfaces 50 of the segment holder elements 44 are each designed as a prism groove with a substantially triangular (V-shaped) groove cross section, while the guide surfaces 52 on the feet 46 of the cutting elements 14 are designed as corresponding prismatic approaches with a suitable triangular cross section.
- this can also be provided vice versa without further ado.
- each segment holder element 44 in the radial direction at an acute angle ⁇ - in the example shown this is approximately 3 ° - are inclined to the corresponding radius such that each recess provided for the foot 46 of the cutting element 14 in its clear, measured in the circumferential direction in the radial direction from the inside to the outside at least slightly narrowed, that is, the outer width X is always smaller than the inner width Y (see FIG. 7).
- the foot 46 of each cutting element 14 in its radially inner region facing the retaining rings 40 is designed such that it can be expanded in the circumferential direction in such a way that after insertion in the radial direction from the outside inwards into the recess between two segment holder elements 44, the guide surfaces 52 of the foot 46 are can be brought flush to the guide surfaces 50 of the segment holder elements 44. Due to the described angular position of the guide surfaces 50, 52, a positive connection is thus causes secure holding of the cutting elements 14. In order to ensure that the feet 46 can be expanded, they each have a radial slot 54 which extends in the radial direction from the inside to the outside in the foot 46.
- Each slot has a preferably circular extension into which an expansion element, in particular an adapter sleeve 56, can be inserted perpendicular to the plane of the pane. This causes the feet 46 to spread apart; see double arrow 58 in FIG. 8. According to the invention, a detachable or exchangeable mounting of cutting elements 14 is thus provided, which can thus be assembled or disassembled in the direction of double arrow 60 shown in FIG. 7.
- the retaining rings 40 project radially outward beyond the outer circumference 10 of the disk body 2. Furthermore, the inner surface areas of the segment holder elements 44 and the feet 46 of the cutting elements 14 are also each spaced apart in a radial direction from the outer circumference 10 of the disk body 2. As a result, according to the invention, a channel 62 extending in the circumferential direction is formed between the retaining rings 40 on the one hand and between the outer circumference 10 of the disk body 2 and the segment holder and cutting elements on the other hand.
- the channels 34 of the disk body 2 which have already been explained above, open into this circumferential channel 62, and on the other hand, starting from this circumferential channel 62, through openings 64 of the segment holder elements 44 lead to their outer peripheral surfaces 66 , ie emerge in the area of the segment holder elements 44.
- each segment holder element 44 and preferably also each cutting element 14 or its foot 46 engages approximately form-fittingly between the two retaining rings 40 with a base 68 and thereby rests on the outer circumference of the retaining rings 50 with shoulders adjoining the base 68.
- the fiber layers 16, 18 or the foils 22 are prefabricated with the desired fiber orientation and with certain inside / outside diameter ratios.
- the fibers 4 are preferably laid as a thread-like endless material, in particular on a carrier layer.
- the fibers 4 are expediently wound around a plurality of fixing elements for alignment in the radial direction in such a way that in the region of the fiber layer 16 to be formed they each run in a straight line in the radial direction over one plane.
- the fiber material is preferably laid in a spiral using a laying compass, but a circular course can be achieved by tight laying.
- the fibers 4 laid in this way are glued with a plastic binder, in particular a synthetic resin, by being coated with this synthetic resin. After this plastic has cured, a sheet 22 is formed which is continuous and is "cut free" in the desired size; in the case of the radial fibers 4, these are cut off in the inner and outer circumferential area of the annular disk-shaped film 22.
- the fibers 4 are therefore essentially tension-free, but exactly aligned in the respective orientation in the film 22 or in the respective fiber layer 16, 18.
- Die Backing layer in particular a relatively coarse-meshed backing mesh, preferably remains part of the film 22.
- the backing mesh is preferably originally arranged on a backing material, in particular made of paper; this carrier material is then preferably removed from the film 22, so that then only the carrier network remains part of the film 22.
- the disk body 2 is then formed, in which a multiplicity of, in particular, different films 22 are stacked on top of one another and bonded uniformly with plastic, in particular with the same synthetic resin that was also used to form the films 22.
- the distribution of the foils 22 takes place according to the invention in adaptation to the dimensions of the disc body to be manufactured in such a way that an optimal stabilization distribution in the disc body 2 is achieved for the respective dimensions.
- one of the outer layers 24, 26 is first formed by stacking corresponding fiber layers 16, 18.
- the middle layer 28 is then formed, e.g. appropriate filling elements or filling materials are placed.
- the channels 34 are preferably also produced, for which purpose corresponding cavities can be left open, or a material which can later be removed, for example by melting, is inserted.
- the other outer layer is then finally laid on, for which purpose fiber layers 16, 18 are mirror-symmetrical to the first outer layer, i.e. in reverse order.
- the depressions for the holding rings 40 of the holding device 12 can also be formed (molded) directly.
- these retaining ring depressions can also be formed subsequently by mechanical processing.
- the finished installed pane body 2 is then preferably pressed and tempered during curing.
- the invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown and described, but also encompasses all embodiments having the same effect in the sense of the invention. Furthermore, the invention is not yet limited to the combination of features defined in claim 1, but can also be defined by any other combination of certain features of all the individual features disclosed overall. This means that in principle practically every single feature of claim 1 can be omitted or replaced by at least one single feature disclosed elsewhere in the application. In this respect, the claims are only to be understood as a first attempt at formulating an invention.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a master blade for circular saw blades and / or abrasive cut-off wheels, consisting of a circular disk body consisting at least partially of a plastic material reinforced with embedded fibers.
In the case of circular saw blades or cut-off wheels intended for stone processing, with peripheral, mostly diamond-tipped cutting elements (cutting segments) attached to the outer circumference of the master blade, very large master blades with a blade diameter of up to 5.00 m are required for certain applications. So that the weight of the main blade does not become too high with such large blade diameters, attempts have already been made to manufacture the disc body from a plastic material instead of metal.
Thus, from DE-U-88 11 470 (or the corresponding publications DE-A-38 30 810 and EP-A-0 356 923) a saw blade consisting of a fiber-reinforced plastic is known, but fiber materials in the form of fabric-like mats are embedded, specifically in the Form of circular sector-shaped fiber mats, which are arranged rotationally symmetrically and overlap each other at their radial edge sections.
From DE-C-27 40 891 a circumferential grinding wheel is known which consists of an inner hub part and an outer rim part which carries a grinding ring made of abrasive bodies, the hub and rim being prestressed - and thus performing the function of "spokes" - wires, Fibers or threads are interconnected. The "spokes" are embedded in plastic. In addition to the "spokes", a conventional fiber reinforcement formed by fabric mats is said to be embedded in the plastic.
Schleifbelag" wirken.DE-A-2 045 814 describes a saw blade made of synthetic resin, which contains radially running, relatively wide with 7.5 cm bands made of boron epoxy.
It has now been shown in practice that the previously known plastic master blades are very unstable or unstable and twist during operation due to the application of forces and heating due to material stresses. This leads to poor running properties and also to poor processing quality when using the saw blades or cutting discs. In unfavorable cases, the twists that occur can even destroy the blade and / or damage the workpiece. These problems could have not yet been satisfactorily resolved, so that plastic master sheets have not yet been able to establish themselves for all applications.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating the problems described and, starting from the prior art mentioned, creating a master blade which guarantees optimum running properties and machining results under practically all operating conditions and which also has a long service life.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the fibers are arranged in a plurality of superimposed, integrally connected, flat, circular fiber layers which are concentric with the disk body, the fibers in a first type of fiber layer being at least approximately in relation to the disk body radial direction are arranged in a straight line, and in a second type of fiber layer the fibers have an at least approximately circular course which is essentially concentric with the disk body, and the two types of fiber layers having a function of the size of the disk body selected distribution (order of stacking) are arranged in the base sheet. Here, the respective radially aligned fibers bring about a high stability of the main blade in the radial direction, and the fibers, which are aligned essentially in a circular shape, stabilize the blade in the circumferential direction, ie against bending around the radial direction, a particular advantage to be emphasized that the mechanical properties over the The scope of the master sheet according to the invention is practically absolutely constant, because in contrast to the prior art, the fiber orientation according to the invention and distribution practically achieved an "isotropy" within the base sheet.
It is particularly advantageous if each fiber layer has a central opening, so that it is thus designed in the form of an annular disk, the individual fiber layers of the base sheet being of different sizes in particular with regard to their inside / outside diameter ratio. The distribution of these fiber layers within the base sheet, which differ in their diameter ratios, is also carried out according to the invention in adaptation to the dimensions (diameter, thickness) of the base sheet in such a way that an optimal "stability distribution" can be achieved within the base sheet according to the invention.
According to the invention, the fibers are thus aligned as precisely as possible in the respective orientation, but are embedded in the plastic material of the base sheet essentially without tension. The radial fibers end at both ends "blind", i.e. apart from a material connection to the plastic material that is present over their entire length, they are not particularly supported at the end, i.e. not "tied up". The essentially circularly oriented fibers can advantageously be laid in the corresponding layers as a continuous material in a spiral shape, so that the alignment deviates very slightly from the ideal circular shape, but this does not cause any disadvantage.
Der Volumenanteil des Fasermaterials beträgt dabei etwa 60 - 70 Vol.-%.According to the invention, the fibers are arranged so close together in each fiber layer that a high fiber density is achieved. The volume fraction of the fiber material is about 60-70% by volume.
In principle, any fiber material could be used, for example glass fibers. However, it has proven to be particularly advantageous to use a carbon fiber material, the so-called "highly rigid" (HM = high modulus) carbon fibers being the most suitable compared to high-strength (HT) carbon fibers, since a particularly favorable modulus of elasticity can be achieved in this way. As a result, the elastic properties of the master blade according to the invention are even better than those of a steel master blade.
The master blade according to the invention is characterized by optimal running properties under almost all operating conditions, by a low weight and by a long service life (durability).

In the different figures of the drawing, the same parts are always provided with the same reference numerals and are therefore generally only described once. Each description of a part that may only occur once thus also applies analogously to the other drawing figures, in which this part can also be recognized with the corresponding reference numerals.
As can now be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the
For the manufacture of the
In this connection it should be noted that the individual fiber layers 16, 18 also on the
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the
In the preferred, three-layer structure of the
As can further be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the
In a further embodiment of the invention, the
Fig. 7). A one-part or
As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 9 and 10, the retaining rings 40 project radially outward beyond the
Finally, the method for producing the
First, the fiber layers 16, 18 or the
With the
During this laying of the fiber layers 16, 18, the depressions for the holding rings 40 of the holding
All individual layers and layers are connected with synthetic resin using the same material. Finally, the mounting
