Abstract

In a mounting plate (10) configured as a wing plate for the adjustable mounting of the supporting arm of a furniture hinge, height adjustment is brought about by the fact that the mounting plate is divided into a bottom part (12) which can be affixed to the surface of the cabinet wall and a top part (14) which is displaceable in the direction of height on the bottom part and can be fixed at selected levels. In the mounting plate (10) one of the wings (20) is formed on the bottom part (12) and the other wing (18) on the top part (14), the bottom part reaching into an opening in the bottom of the wing (18) of the top part (14) and thus assuring guidance of the top part (14) on the bottom part (12) in the adjusting procedure.

Description

The invention relates to a mounting plate for the adjustable fastening of the supporting arm stop part of a furniture hinge designed as a supporting arm to a cabinet body, with a lower part to be attached directly to the supporting body wall and a part on this lower part which can be displaced parallel to the hinge pivot axis by means of guide elements which are adapted to one another and optionally lockable supported upper part, with an elongated, fastening means for the hinge support arm, protruding from the supporting wall, whereby from the opposite sides of the central section a wing-like projection emerges, one of which is an integral part of the upper part of the wing and on its the supporting wall facing underside and towards the middle section has an open recess into which the lower part extends and in the direction of displacement, on correspondingly assigned lateral boundary surfaces of the verti ef has displaceably guided lateral boundary surfaces, wherein at least one elongated hole is provided in one of the wing attachments, through which the threaded shaft of a clamping screw screwed into a threaded bore in the lower part engages and the second wing attachment is a partial section of the lower part, which is on that of the upper part occurring wing approach opposite side of the central section from the central section.

There are certain, two-part height-adjustable mounting plates known for adjustable fastening of furniture hinges with a supporting wall stop part designed as an elongated support arm (DE-OS 20 43 622), in which an elongated lower part by means of fastening screws on the supporting wall of the furniture body and in the height adjustment direction by interlocking strips and Grooves on the lower part of the upper part can be fixed on the lower part with at least one separate clamping screw. On the other hand, mounting plates with wing-like projections - so-called "wing plates" - projecting from the opposite longitudinal sides of an elongated central section are known, in which fastening bores are provided, so that the fastening of such "wing plates" in bores provided at a vertical distance from one another, for example in bores one per se to accommodate shelf supports in the front row of holes in the supporting wall of a cabinet body. Such wing plates have already been designed as two-part height-adjustable mounting plates (DE-OS 26 24 453), the height adjustment being made possible by elongated holes provided in the wing approaches of the upper part, through which the shafts of the fastening screws pass into the assigned fastening holes in the supporting wall be screwed in. If the fastening screws are loosened, the upper part can then be adjusted in height within the dimensions specified by the elongated holes. Without loosening the fastening screws, a height adjustment is possible with a wing plate (DE-OS 30 22 440), in which the supporting wall is fastened by means of a fastening screw screwed into the wing attachments of the lower part by assigned holes. For height adjustment, the upper part is moved on the lower part when the clamping screw is loosened, ie the fastening screws holding the mounting plate on the supporting wall do not need to be loosened. In this known hinge, the upper part is guided on the lower part in the direction of displacement, whereby it engages under the lateral edges of the wing attachments running in the height adjustment direction, so that a positive fit Protection against separation of the upper part from the lower part is given. This configuration, however, creates undercut grooves along the edges of the wing attachments of the upper part, which - in the manufacture of the upper part from die-cast metal - require correspondingly complicated and consequently costly casting molds provided with slides. It is not at all possible to produce the mounting plate parts from sheet metal by stamping and pressing with reasonable effort, although the manufacture of sheet metal furniture fittings is increasingly preferred for reasons of cost and strength.

Finally, a similar, composed of an upper and lower part two-part wing plate of the type mentioned is known, which has all the features of the preamble of claim 1 (DE-A-35 01 048), in which the upper part is guided in the height adjustment direction on the lower part is, but without reaching around the edges of the wing attachments of the lower part. The form-fitting securing against separation of the upper part from the lower part is ensured by a projection provided on one of the two parts and penetrating an elongated hole in the other part in the height adjustment direction, at the free end of which a holding head is formed which engages over the longitudinal edges of the elongated hole and so on a separation of the upper part from the lower part is prevented. It can be seen that this configuration also inevitably requires a complex assembly which has an adverse effect on the production costs, since the holding head can only be molded onto the lower part or can be produced in some other way after the upper part has been preassembled.

The invention has for its object to provide a two-part height-adjustable mounting plate, the upper and lower part can be manufactured inexpensively in a stamping and pressing process from sheet metal, an exact and largely play-free guidance of the upper part on the lower part is guaranteed during the height adjustment.

Starting from a mounting plate of the type mentioned in the introduction, this object is achieved according to the invention in that on the side of the middle section opposite the upper part provided with the integral wing attachment, a shorter attachment protrudes in one piece in the direction of displacement, which extends through a cutout in the upper side of the wing attachment formed by the lower part engages in a recess formed in the underside of the wing attachment facing the load-bearing wall, and that the cutout in the wing attachment of the lower part corresponds to the width of the short upper-part attachment measured in this direction and has a corresponding length, measured at right angles in the direction of displacement, but has a width which essentially corresponds to the intended height -Displacement dimension of the mounting plate corresponds, the short upper part approach measured in the displacement direction by an amount from the central portion that is greater than the height displacement dimension. In this solution, therefore, the one visible wing projection from the central section is an integral part of the upper part and overlaps the assigned section of the lower part, while the wing projection emerging on the opposite side of the central section is an integral part of the lower part. The protection against separation of the upper part from the lower part is carried out - in addition to the clamping screw - by the short upper part approaching the cutout of the lower part wing attachment.

In an advantageous development of the invention, the lower part in its areas lying on opposite sides of the central section each has a bore for a fastening screw, so that it can be screwed onto the supporting wall of a cabinet body in the intended fastening position. Alternative fastening options, for example the arrangement of press-in or drive-in pegs on the lower part and the mounting of these fastening pegs in associated bores in the supporting wall of the cabinet body, are not excluded.

The upper part of the wing attachment expediently has an opening in the area covering the bore for the fastening screws in the lower part, the diameter of which is approximately the same or slightly larger than the head of the fastening screw, so that this fastening screw is accessible even when the hinge is in the mounted state and the mounting plate can be unscrewed as a whole from the bulkhead.

The slot provided for the passage of the threaded shaft of the clamping screw is expediently provided in the wing attachment which is integrally attached to the upper part, this slot being expediently arranged laterally offset from the opening for the head of the fastening screw.

The short upper part approach which extends through the cut-out in the wing attachment of the lower part expediently has, in its free end region lying in the recess of the lower part wing attachment, in alignment with the bore provided for the passage of the fastening screw, a recess which opens out in its free end edge and whose width is at least equal to the width of the diameter of the fastening screw. This makes it possible to allow the top part projection to protrude relatively long from the middle part without the degree of height adjustment being limited by the shaft of the fastening screw fastening the wing attachment of the lower part to the supporting wall.

The upper part and / or the lower part can be made of metal in a known manner using the die-casting process. However, the upper part and / or the lower part is preferably produced from sheet metal by the stamping-pressing method.

The configuration is preferably such that the lower part is so hollow that it is supported in the assembled state essentially only with its edge area on the associated body-supporting wall, and that the lower part in the area of its mounting holes with embossed counterbores for the heads of the Fastening screws are provided, the depth of which is dimensioned such that the undersides of the countersinks lie flush in the support plane of the edge region. This ensures that the lower part can not be deformed by the heads of the fastening screws even when manufactured from relatively thin-walled metal sheet, and this can lead to stiffness of the height adjustment process or to an undesired jamming of the upper part on the lower part. In addition, the heads of the fastening screws do not protrude from the lower part, so that no elongated hole needs to be provided in the wing attachment of the upper part in the area above the assigned fastening screw of the lower part.

The mounting plate shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, designated in its entirety by 10, is composed of a lower part 12 which can be fastened directly to the supporting wall of a cabinet body and an upper part 14 which can be moved on the lower part in the predetermined range and which can be fixed in selectable displacement positions in the case shown, both may be made of sheet metal in the stamping-pressing process, although production in the die-casting process from zinc die-casting (zamak) is also possible.

The mounting plate 10 has in the usual manner an elongated, for the adjustable and fixable in selectable positions mounting of the support arm stop part designed as a support arm of a (not shown) furniture hinge certain strip-like and protruding from the support wall middle part 16, from the opposite sides of which a lower wing-like Approach 18 or 20 precedes. The wing-like extension 18 is an integral part of the upper part 14 shown separately in FIGS. 3 to 5 and the wing-like extension 20 is an integral part of the lower part 12 shown separately in FIGS. 6 to 10.

The plate-shaped lower part 12 has the shape of a body punched out from a sheet metal blank to form a substantially flat plate, which was then embossed in such a way that it has the shape of an inverted, i.e. with its open side down to an associated supporting wall facing low trough. The lower part fastened to a supporting wall is thus - with the exception of the areas still described below - supported essentially exclusively along its edge area on the supporting wall.

In FIGS. 2 and 6 it can be seen that on one side of the partial area of the lower part 12 which forms the wing-like extension 20, an area 22 which is somewhat reduced in width connects, which extends in the assembled state of the mounting plate 10 under the middle part 16 into the - also hollow - wing-like extension 18 of the upper part 14, its width being such that the lateral boundary surfaces fit between the facing inner surfaces of the edge areas of the wing-like Approach 18 lie. The wing-like extension 18 is thus slidably guided on the region 22 of the lower part 12 which is reduced in width. In the area 22, within a section 24 provided with holding ribs running parallel to the central section 16, a threaded bore 26 and - laterally offset from the section 24 - a fastening bore 28 are provided, through which a fastening screw can be screwed into the supporting wall of a cabinet body. The fastening bore 28 is - like a further fastening bore 30 provided in the opposite area forming the wing-like extension 20 - within a countersink 32 or 34 receiving the head of the associated fastening screw. The depth of the countersink is selected so that the side of the countersink facing the supporting wall lies flush in the support plane of the edge region of the lower part. That is, by means of the fastening screws 36, 38 (FIG. 1) screwed through the fastening bores 28 and 30 into the supporting wall are supported in the screwed-in state on the bottom of the associated countersink 32 or 34, the undersides of which facing the supporting wall are in turn pressed into contact with the supporting wall . A deformation of the lower part by tightening the fastening screws 36, 38 is therefore not possible.

A clamping screw 40 is screwed into the threaded bore 26, which presses the upper part 14 onto the lower part 12 in the tightened state and thus secures it against displacements at right angles to the longitudinal extent of the central part 16. When the clamping screw 14 is loosened, however, such a displacement is possible within a predetermined range, for which purpose an elongated hole 42 is provided in the wing-like extension 18 of the upper part in alignment with the threaded bore 26 in the lower part. the length of which determines the displacement of the upper part 14 on the lower part.

On the side opposite the shoulder 18, a shorter and narrower flat shoulder 44 protrudes from the middle section 16 of the upper part, which extends through a substantially rectangular cutout 46 (FIGS. 2, 6 and 9) of the lower part and on the inner surface of the wing-like part facing the supporting wall Approach 20 forming part of the lower part is supported. The approach 44 thus secures the upper part 14 on the side opposite the approach 18 against lifting off from the lower part 12. It is clear that the width of the cutout 46 measured in the direction of displacement of the upper part on the lower part must be selected in accordance with the length of the elongated hole 42 allow the necessary displacement path. The width of the extension 44, measured in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the middle part 16, on the other hand, is chosen such that it essentially corresponds to the extent of the cutout 46 measured in the same direction.

The arcuate recess 48 in the projection 44, which can be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3, is provided in order to prevent the end edge of the projection 44 from bumping against the countersink 34 of the lower part.

In the wing-like extension 18 of the upper part 14, an opening 50 is provided in alignment with the fastening bore 28 of the lower part 12, the diameter of which is selected to be somewhat larger than the head of the fastening screw 36. Thus, it is possible to assemble the mounting plate 10 as a whole, i.e. without loosening the clamping screw 40 and lifting the upper part 14 from the lower part 12, as a unit from the supporting wall, since the head of the fastening screw 36 is accessible through the opening 50.
