Definitions
- the invention relates to a shoe sole with an upper sole part, which consists at least partially of a rigid material, preferably of wood or wood-like materials, and which has a sole upper side facing the sole of the sole, the edge or edge of which is at least partially covered by a border made of elastic and / or flexible material is surrounded.
- the invention further relates to a method for producing such a shoe sole.
- wood-like materials should include: wood veneer, which can be provided both in a single layer and in several layers glued and / or glued to one another (plywood or plywood), also pressed wood, that is to say from small, together with a binder Connected and pressed wooden parts existing wood, but also cork, layered cork, i.e. cork consisting of individual glued and / or glued cork layers, as well as pressed cork or cork latex, i.e. small cork particles of existing cork connected and compressed by a binding agent, as well as Combinations of the materials mentioned.
- the wood veneer can be made from a peeled or sliced or cut or split film.
- Shoe soles are also known which consist of an upper wooden part consisting of at least two sections, the sections being connected to one another by foamed intermediate pieces made of polyurethane and an outsole made of polyurethane being foamed onto the underside of the wooden part.
- the edge or the edge which delimits the upper side of the sole is unprotected and presses into the sole of the foot, which is perceived as annoying and can lead to the formation of calluses.
- the outsole and shoulder are made of a soft and flexible material, e.g.
- the sole is the upper side limiting edge of the upper part of the sole protected, but there is a risk that in the area of this edge, the approach of the upper part of the sole dissolves and then not only its effect is lost, but there is also the risk that the user of the shoes provided with such soles with the approach no longer connected sticks to protruding parts.
- Another disadvantage of this known embodiment is that there the entire side surface of the upper sole part made of wood is always covered by the approach. However, it is often desirable for the structure of the wood to remain at least partially visible on the side surface of the upper sole part.
- edge of the upper sole part only partially with a border made of an elastic and / or flexible material, since on the one hand this edge is partially covered by the upper of the shoe anyway when using the shoe sole according to the invention for sandals or clogs, on the other hand Covering only in the edge area of the sole tip and / or the heel is sufficient in many cases.
- This area which is not covered by the upper of the shoe, is usually the area of the heel in the case of clogs, and the area of the heel and the area of the shoe tip in the case of sandals, although the risk of chipping and breaking off is very high in the area of the shoe toe, as one can use the Shoe tip frequently hits obstacles.
- shock absorption and shock absorption are to be achieved and noise generation is to be reduced.
- a sole is to be created in which penetration of moisture, for example rainwater or snow, is reliably avoided at the connection point.
- the invention proposes that at least In the edge region of the sole tip and / or the heel, a recess is provided for receiving the elastic and / or flexible material, the elastic and / or flexible material gradually passing into the upper side of the sole.
- the recess provided in the edge area enables the anchoring of elastic and / or flexible material to be securely anchored to the upper sole part, even if this edging is only applied at certain points and also if the side face of the upper sole part does not fall below the edge elastic and / or flexible material is covered.
- the recess is expediently delimited by two surfaces of the upper sole part which run at right angles to one another.
- Such a shape of the recess can easily be produced by milling and results in an optimal anchoring of the border.
- one surface of the recess preferably merges with the curved surface into the side surface of the section of the upper sole part which is not provided with a recess.
- the recess can not only be arranged in the edge region of the sole tip and / or the heel, but can also run along the entire circumference of the upper sole part. However, that section of the edge region which is covered by the upper of the shoe anyway can have no recess here.
- any elastic and / or flexible material can be used to form the skirt, e.g. Elastomers, rubber or natural rubber, driven rubber (poro rubber), thermoplastic rubber, but also leather are used.
- the elastic and / or flexible material consists of, preferably foamed, polyurethane. This has the required material properties and can also be connected to the upper sole part in a simple manner, in particular if it consists of wood or a wood-like material, since the polyurethane can then be foamed onto this upper sole part.
- the elastic and / or flexible material can also be the elastic and / or flexible material to the be glued to the upper sole part or vulcanized or molded.
- the vulcanization is possible when using rubber or natural rubber, the spraying in particular when using thermoolastic rubber.
- the elastic and / or flexible material can only fill the recess.
- this material merges not only continuously into the upper side of the sole, but also into the side surface of the upper sole part, and preferably also without a foot.
- the elastic and / or flexible material protrudes from the recess over the side surface of the upper sole part and preferably at least partially covers the region of the side surface of the upper sole part adjoining the recess in the direction of the underside. In this case, if this is necessary or desired, not only the edge or the edge of the upper side of the upper part of the sole is covered, but also, at least partially, the side surface of the upper part of the sole.
- shoe soles are already known in which the upper sole part is composed of several sections made of a rigid material, namely of wood, with adjacent sections being connected to one another by intermediate parts made of elastic and / or flexible material.
- the intermediate pieces are formed in one piece with the lower sole part and with the flexible and / or elastic material arranged in the recess, which likewise simplifies production and improves the connection.
- the lower sole part is thus molded onto the underside of the upper sole part in a manufacturing process, the recess is filled in the region of the edge of the upper sole part and the side surface of the upper sole part is covered. If it is not desirable to cover the side surface of this upper sole part, but rather the wood should be visible there, it is advisable to use the same manufacturing process, but after demoulding the shoe sole, to process it laterally, preferably by grinding or milling, until that the side surface of the upper sole part below the recess covering elastic and / or flexible material is removed and this side surface is thus visible.
- the advantages in the manufacturing process outweigh the disadvantages arising from the loss of material during grinding or milling.
- polyurethane is preferably used as the elastic and / or flexible material, which is foamed onto the upper sole part. If in the described manufacturing process the polyurethane covering the side surface of the upper sole part and foamed onto this side surface is not removed, then ether-based polyurethane is preferably used.
- ether-based polyurethane as long as its outer layer of bacon has not been removed and thereby opened the pores, has a very good resistance to hydrolysis, because the layer of bacon prevents the penetration of moisture, which can destroy the polyurethane.
- the surface treatment of the polyurethane based on ether is successful, if the cell structure is opened, this polyurethane based on ether acts like a sponge and is soaked in water.
- ester-based polyurethane is preferably used.
- This ester-based polyurethane has a somewhat lower resistance to hydrolysis than the polyurethane-based polyurethane if its surface is not machined, but an ester-based polyurethane can tolerate opening the cell structure by sanding or milling, and it also bonds with the wood or the wood-like materials somewhat more intimate than ether-based polyurethane under the same conditions.
- ester-based polyurethane withstands the stresses of grinding or milling better because it bonds better with wood or wood-like materials.
- Fig.l shows a longitudinal section through a first embodiment of the shoe sole according to the invention according to the line I-I in Fig.2.
- Fio.2 shows a top view of Fig.1.
- 3 shows a longitudinal section through a second embodiment of the shoe sole according to the invention along the line
- the shoe sole according to the invention consists of an upper sole part 1 which has a sole upper side 2 facing the sole of the sole and the underside 3 of which is connected to a lower sole part 4 which forms the outsole and is made of elastic and / or flexible material.
- the upper sole part 1 consists of two sections 1 ′, 1 ′′ which are connected to one another in the ball area by an intermediate part 5 made of elastic and / or flexible material. More than two sections and accordingly more than one intermediate part can also be provided However, it is also possible not to arrange any intermediate parts, thus to form the upper sole part 1 in one piece.
- the upper sole part 1 or the sections 1 ', 1 "consist of a rigid material, the upper side 2 of the sole expediently having an orthopedic shape in order to support the foot in an orthopedically correct manner.
- the intermediate part 5 in the ball area enables the per se to be bent rigid upper sole part 1 to facilitate walking.
- the upper sole part 1 or the two sections 1 ', 11 are expediently made of wood or of the wood-like materials mentioned at the outset.
- wood has particularly good hygienic properties because it supports the foot in an optimal manner and protrudes has hygienic properties, so it is sweat-wicking and moisture-regulating.
- the upper sole part 1 can, however, also consist of another rigid material, for example of hard polyurethane. When the upper sole part 1 is formed from several sections, it is also possible to form the individual sections from different materials.
- the edge of the upper sole part 1 delimiting the upper side 2 of the sole is provided with a recess B which is filled with an elastic and / or flexible material 7.
- the most suitable elastic and / or flexible material is polyurethane, especially foamed polyurethane, which is expediently connected to the upper sole part 1 by foaming.
- other elastic and / or flexible materials can also be used, for example elastomers, rubber or natural rubber, driven rubber (poro rubber), thermoplastic rubber and leather.
- the elastic and / or flexible material 7 can be fixed in the recess B in various ways, for example by gluing, in the case of rubber also by vulcanization, in the case of thermoplastic rubber also by spraying on, when using foamed polyurethane, as already mentioned, by foaming.
- the fact that the elastic and / or flexible material 7 is received by the recess 6 ensures that this material is securely anchored.
- This material 7 passes smoothly and preferably also seamlessly into the upper side 2 of the sole.
- this material 7 Due to the arrangement of this material 7, the edge of the sole upper part consisting of a rigid material can no longer be felt in a disadvantageous manner for the wearer of the shoe. In addition, this provides an edge protection which prevents this edge from splintering off when it is struck against solid objects, and in this case there is also shock absorption and noise reduction.
- the arrangement of the elastic and / or flexible material 7 in the heel area is particularly advantageous because there the edge for the wearer of a shoe provided with a sole according to the invention can be felt particularly strongly, the arrangement of the elastic and / or flexible material in the area of the heel Sole tip because edge protection is particularly important there. But if, for example, this edge is already protected by a shoe part, as is the case with cloos, for example, the arrangement of the elastic is unnecessary and / or flexible material at these points. In this case, the flexible and / or elastic material can only be provided in the area of the heel.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 it is desirable, especially when the upper sole part 1 is made of wood, that the side face 3 of this upper sole part 1 is visible, since the sole is then recognizable as a natural product and has an elegant and pleasing exterior.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 Such an embodiment is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the sole is made of wood-like materials or of another rigid material, it may be advantageous to cover at least parts of the side surface 8 of the elastic and / or flexible material.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 Such an embodiment is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the recess 6 is preferably delimited by two surfaces of the upper sole part 1 which run approximately at right angles to one another, with a only partial arrangement of this recess 6, as can be seen from FIG. 2, which has a surface of the recess via a curved surface 9 in the side surface 8 of the upper sole part 1 merges.
- the edge 10 of the elastic and / or flexible material 7 can be rounded in order to make this edge completely imperceptible, although this edge, even if it is not broken, can hardly be felt due to the material used.
- the lower sole part 4 and, if present, the intermediate piece 5 are also advantageously made of the same material.
- the procedure is such that the recess 8 is first produced in the upper sole part 1.
- the production of the recess 8 can of course be carried out simultaneously with the production of the upper sole part 1, for example by milling.
- the upper sole part 1 is then inserted into the cavity of a mold in such a way that both the side surface 8 and the underside 3 of this upper sole part 1 are arranged at a distance from the wall of the mold cavity.
- the upper sole part 1 When forming the upper sole part 1 from several sections Ten 1 ', 1 ", these two sections are also arranged at a distance from one another at the point where the intermediate piece 5 is to be arranged.
- the polyurethane-forming material filled into the remaining mold cavity, which serves to form the sole lower part 4 also fills the remaining ones during the foaming process Gaps between the wall of the mold cavity and the upper sole part 1 and thus also the recess 6.
- the method described can also be used, for example, when using thermoplastic rubber, if it is molded onto the upper sole part 1 in a mold.
