- the invention refers to a refrigerated display cabinet showing a substantially vertical rear wall, a plurality of shelves for goods arranged above each other along the wall, a first air duct extending from a first place at the front edge of the lowest shelf, in substantially horizontal direction under the lowest shelf, in substantially vertical direction behind the rear wall and in substantially horizontal direction above the uppermost shelf to a second place above the front edge of the uppermost shelf, a fan to circulate air through the duct to the second place, from where the air moves downwards in an air curtain in front of the front edges of the shelves to the first place, a refrigerating apparatus to cool the air circulating through the duct to freezing temperature, and openings in the rear wall to bring about air flows from the duct through the spaces formed between the shelves.
- Such a refrigerated display cabinet is known through DE-A-3 113 571. Due to heat radiation through the access opening of this cabinet, goods located at the front edges of its shelves will become warmer than goods located close towards its rear wall and which is mainly only exposed to the cold air entering through the openings in the rear wall. This uneven temperature distribution of the goods is not desireable for storing certain sensitive goods. e.g. meat, which should be stored at a temperature as close as possible to its freezing-point without becoming frozen.
- the object of the invention is to bring about a temperature of all the goods in such a refrigerated display cabinet, which temperature is as close as possible to the freezing-point of the goods without the goods becoming frozen. For meat this freezing-point is about -2°C.
- This object is attained in the refrigerated display cabinet according to the invention by means for heating said air flows so that the goods on the shelves does not freeze.

Claims (4)
- Gekühlter Schaustellungsschrank (10) mit einer im wesentlichen vertikalen Rückwand (24), einer Vielzahl von Regalen (12,14,16,18) für Güter (20), die übereinander entlang der Wand angeordnet sind, einem ersten Luftschacht (36), der von einem ersten Platz (38) am vorderen Rand des untersten Regales (12) sich im wesentlichen in horizontaler Richtung unter dem untersten Regal erstreckt und in einer im wesentlichen vertikalen Richtung hinter der Rückwand und einer im wesentlichen horizontalen Richtung über dem obersten Regal zu einem zweiten Platz (40) über dem vorderen Rand des obersten Regals (18) führt, einem Ventilator (50) zum Zirkulieren von Luft durch den Schacht (36) zum zweiten Platz (40), von wo die Luft sich nach unten bewegt in einem Luftvorhang (52) vor dem vorderen Rand der Regale zu dem ersten Platz (38), einer Kühlapparatur (58) zum Kühlen der Luft, die durch den Schacht (36) zirkuliert zum Absenken der Temperatur und Öffnungen (60) in der Rückwand (24) zum Leiten von Luftströmen aus dem Schacht durch die Räume (62,64,66), die zwischen den Regalen gebildet sind, gekennzeichnet durch eine Vorrichtung (30;68) zum Heizen der Luftströme so, daß die Güter (20) auf den Regalen nicht gefrieren.
- Gekühlter Schaustellungschrank nach Anspruch 1, gekenn zeichnet durch eine Vorrichtung (60), um größere Luft-Ströme durch die Räume auf einem unteren Niveau als durch Räume auf einem oberen Niveau herbeizuführen.
- Gekühlter Schaustellungschrank nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Vorrichtungen zum Heizen der Luftströme ein elektrisches Heizkabel (30) umfassen, das an der Rückwand (24) angeordnet ist, und eine Metallfläche (26) aufheizen, die die Oberfläche der inneren Wand des Schaustellungsschrankes bildet.
- Gekühlter Schaustellungschrank nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Vorrichtungen zum Heizen der Luftströme außerdem elektrische Fluoreszensröhren (68) umfassen, die in den Räumen (62,64,66) angeordnet sind und gleichzeitig die Güter (20) beleuchten, wobei eine Vorrichtung (70) vorgesehen ist, die die Fluoreszensröhren (68) bei Tageslicht und das Heizkabel (30) in der Nacht aktiviert.
