Claims (4)

  1. A reclining chair comprising a backrest (12) pivotably connected to the seat (11), and a foot portion (13) which is connected to the front end of the seat and which is pivotable from a non-use position beneath the seat into a use position approximately at the level of the seat, wherein the backrest (12), the seat (11) and the foot portion (13) are in the form of tubular frame portions and are altogether connected to struts stationarily feed to support frame side plates and two pivot bars (14) are respectively provided for pivotal movement of the foot portion, a respective one of the pivot bars being pivotably connected to each strut, characterised in that the backrest (12) is connected to the struts (17) and the seat (11) by way of multipart pivot fitments (19), wherein the pivot fitments (19) each comprise a pivotal bar (20) connected to the lower end of the backrest (12), a bar (12) hingedly connected to the pivotal bar (20) and on the other hand pivotably connected to the seat (11), and a pivotal lever (22) hingedly connected on the one hand to the stationary strut (17) and on the other hand to the bar (21), wherein the pivotal range between the pivotal bar (20) and the bar (21) on the one hand and between the bar (21) and the pivotal lever (22) on the other hand is limited by abutment pins (23) and that the pivot angle of the pivot bars (14) which are pivotally connected to the struts (17), for displacement of the foot portion, is limited by limit abutments (18) feed to the struts (17).
  2. A reclining chair according to claim 1 characterised in that a motor (25) is provided for displacement or pivotal movement of the seat (11) and the backrest (12) and thus also the foot portion (13), which motor is connected on the one hand to a transverse strut (26) which is stationary in relation to the support frame and on the other hand to the backrest (12).
  3. A reclining chair according to claim 2 characterised in that the motor (25) is connected to the backrest (12) in the hinge region between the backrest (12) and the seat (11).
  4. A reclining chair according to one or are of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that springs (24, 28) are connected for securing the position of the pivotal bars (20), which springs are connected on the other hand to the seat (11) or - when a motor (25) is used for actuating the pivotable components - to bars (29) which are feed relative to the support frame in the region of the ground.
