  • This blade 11 has two cut tabs 12, 13 folded and bent one towards each other so as to define therebetween a substantially cylindrical surface 14a (see FIG. 5) adapted to that defined by the rolled part 8 having the slots of the connector 1.
  • the part 11a of the blade 11 adjacent to the two tongues 12, 13 has a curvature, the convexity of which is directed opposite the tongues 12, 13 and which substantially follows the curvature of these tongues 12, 13.
  • the connector 1 is fixed to one of the ends 2a of a heating element 2 comprising a tube 14 of electrically insulating material such as soapstone, around which a resistive heating wire 15 is helically wound.
  • a cap 16 of insulating material is fixed around the part 9 forming a tongue and the part with tight turns 15a of the resistive wire and partly around the part 8 having slots.
  • the slots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 of the rolled part 8 of the connector define between them openings through which air can circulate. This circulation of air provides cooling of the entire connector 1, so that it does not risk excessive heating due to its direct contact with the heating wire 15.
  • the thermal expansions and contractions undergone by the connector 1 following a multitude of heating and cooling cycles are not likely to affect the mechanical properties of the connector so that a perfect mechanical connection and an excellent electrical connection between the connector 1 and the heating wire 15 is maintained for a very long service life.
  • the manufacture of the connector 1 is extremely simple since it is carried out by simple cutting and rolling of a metal sheet which are easily automated.
  • the mounting of the connector 1 on the heating element 2 is also simple and automated, since it simply consists of a fitting along the axis X-X ′.
  • the part 8 of the connector may not be rolled, and remain flat, such as after cutting.
  • the tongues 12 and 13, instead of being shaped as a lyre, are then shaped as jaws, the connector engaging between them according to the knife switch system.
