Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Regeln des Warmbandwalzens auf einer mehrgerüstigen Fertigstaffel einer Walzstraße bei der die Drehzahlen und die Walzspalthöhen (S) der Arbeitswalzen jedes Gerüstes (1-7) in Abhängigkeit vom augenblicklichen Betriebszustand geregelt werden, wobei für die Nachstellung der Walzspalthöhe (S) nach Warmbandeinlauf in ein Gerüst von einer Sollbanddickenstellung zu einem Bandvorratsindikator umgeschaltet und auf einen Walzkraftindikator umgeschaltet wird, wenn das Band (10) aus dem vorhergehenden Gerüst (1-6) ausläuft, wobei für das erste Gerüst (1) das Ergebnis einer vorhergehenden Dickenmessung verwertet wird. Dadurch läßt sich die Banddicke - gegebenenfalls unter Berücksichtigung von Bandbreiten-Schwankungen - sehr schnell und genau regeln.
