Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for carrying out the method for producing hot-rolled steel strip from a strip-shaped continuous material.

Such a method and a device for carrying out the method is known for example from DE-OS 36 37 893. In this prior art, it is proposed that the rolling out to the finished strip be carried out continuously in a maximum of three or four roll stands with the greatest possible pass reduction in order to keep the investment costs of a hot strip rolling mill low and to be able to work economically even with small production quantities. The proposed solution is to be seen in connection with the idea of casting the continuously cast starting material with a small thickness in order to arrive at a strip that is ready for further processing or finished with as few passes as possible.

Regardless of whether the proposed method is on-line, i. H. is continuously operated from the cast pre-strip to the rolled-out finished strip or is stored temporarily, the laws of the Konti Act must be observed in each case, which determines the dependencies between the cross-sectional decrease of the rolling stock and the rolling speed.

As already explained above, the basic requirement is to roll out the final cross-section of the rolled strip that is capable of further processing with as few rolling passes as possible or on as few stands as possible; it would be ideal to completely do without roll stands can, that is, to produce a further processable band only by casting.

A major problem with the rolling of continuously cast primary material is the very slow tapping speed in the first roll stand, which is influenced by the casting speed and which causes a great temperature loss between the successive stands.

Based on the requirements to perform rolling at a low speed on as few stands as possible in a space-saving and cost-saving manner, the object of the invention is to create a method and an apparatus for carrying out the method with which it is possible to perform a perform maximum stitch acceptance in minimum rolling passes.

To achieve the object, a method is proposed according to the invention, which is characterized in that the preliminary strip is stretched at least in two successive sets of rolls under controlled tension. By reducing the stretch of the rolled strip, ie the setting of a defined tension between two successive sets of rolls, it becomes possible to place the sets of rolls so closely together that the cooling between the successive sets of rolls becomes low. The train also enables more favorable deformation and an improvement in rolling flatness by stretching the rolled pre-strip while reducing it.

The device for carrying out the method is characterized in that the stretch-reducing roller sets are arranged one behind the other with a minimal distance. As already explained, the direct arrangement behind one another results in less heat radiation, so that it is also possible to drive with higher stitch reductions.

The close arrangement of the roller sets one after the other depends on the design conditions. A particularly favorable constructive arrangement is seen in the fact that the space-consuming roller stands between the two successive roller sets are dispensed with, in that the roller sets are accommodated in a common stand.

According to a favorable embodiment of the invention, tension members reducing the springing of the stand are arranged between the stretch-reducing roller sets. These tension members take up little space and still guarantee good stability of the rolling stand against bending from the rolling forces.

The tension members can be adapted to different rolling forces if, according to a further proposal of the invention, the tension members are designed to be variable in length. In connection with a control of the length changeability of the tension members depending on the rolling force, those forces can be set which are necessary to achieve a flat strip cross-section with a precisely defined thickness.

The reduced-stretch roller sets can have a common drive, the stretching being adjustable via torque or speed-controlled superimposed motors.

Finally, it is proposed that a device for regulating the rolling temperature is provided behind a stand which holds the stretch-reducing roll set. This can consist, for example, in an oven and / or a cooling device, so that the rolling temperature or the subsequent stands can be set in an optimal manner.

  • Fig. 2 ein erstes Walzgerüst mit drei Walzensätzen,
Embodiments of the invention are shown in drawings and are described below. It shows:
  • 1 shows a rolling mill according to the invention following a continuous caster with two sets of rolls arranged in the first stand,
  • 2 shows a first roll stand with three sets of rolls,
  • Fig. 3 two stands, each with two sets of rollers and a device for temperature control and arranged in between
  • Fig. 4 roughly schematically an inventive roll stand with two sets of rolls and tie rods.

In FIG. 1, the continuous casting mold, to which the continuous sheet casting installation 2 of conventional construction is connected, is designated in a highly simplified manner by 1. If necessary, the continuous casting strand can already be deformed in the curved part or immediately thereafter.

A furnace 4 is connected to the continuous caster behind a pair of scissors 3, behind which the rolling mill according to the invention is arranged, which will be described in detail below. Following the rolling mill 5, a further pair of scissors 6 and a winding device for the rolled strip 7 are provided.

As shown schematically in FIG. 1, the first two sets of rolls in 8a, 8b in the rolling mill are arranged in a common stand 8 such that the rolls are immediately adjacent. In the first roller set 8a, for example, a cross-sectional reduction of 50% is carried out in the roller set 8b, for example of 40%. The roller set 8b is driven at a slightly higher speed than the roller set 8a, so that in addition to the reduction of the rolling stock, a train is exerted on it. While the direct succession of the roller sets 8a and 8b keeps the cooling between the roller sets low, the rolling in the roll stand 8 enables a reduction in the rolling force and thus a higher pass reduction and an improvement in the flatness of the rolling stock. The arrangement also saves space, so that a very compact system design is possible.

After leaving the rolling stand 8, the rolling stock passes through one or two roller sets 9, if necessary, before it is wound up at 7 and separated by the scissors 6 after the coil weight has been reached.

The same parts 2 are designated in FIG. In contrast to FIG. 1, the first roll stand here consists of three roll sets which are arranged in the stand 8 and are designated 8a, 8b and 8c. The three Roll sets are also directly adjacent here, so that the same advantages are achieved as are described for FIG. 1. The stitch reduction in the first stand, for example, is also 50% in the second stand, 40% and in the third stand, 35%. In a last pass in the stand 9, the rolling stock is finally rolled and treated as described in FIG. 1.

Figure 3 shows an alternative in which two stands are provided, in each of which two sets of rollers are installed. The roller sets of the first stand 8 are designated 8a and 8b, those of the second stand 8c and 8d. A device 10 for tempering the strip is arranged between the two stands, which may consist of an oven for heating the rolling stock or a device for cooling the rolling stock. As a result of the high deformation in the first roll stand, a temperature increase can take place, which necessitates cooling. With less deformation, the temperature can also drop, so that heating is necessary.

A roll stand is indicated schematically in FIG. 4 that a particularly space-saving arrangement of the two sets of rolls is possible in that a common large stand window 12 is provided on each stand side, in which tie rods 11 are provided between the roll sets, acting parallel to the rolling force. These tie rods 11 can be formed from rods which are variable in length according to the proposals of the invention and the lengths of which can be regulated as a function of the rolling force. In this way, a space-consuming stand is spared, without having to fear an unauthorized opening of the scaffold.

The invention advantageously enables controlled rolling in closely arranged roller sets, which becomes particularly important when working with small work rolls and relatively large back-up rolls which specify the distance between the work rolls of two adjacent roll sets because of the high deformation. By arranging the two or three sets of rollers in a stand, the support rollers can be built so close together that the distance between the work rolls is optimally close to each other in terms of heat loss.
