Um den Einfluß der beim Walzvorgang auftretenden radialen Druck­spannungen herabzusetzen, wird der Hartmetall-Walzring zu­sätzlich in radialer Richtung einer Vorspannung unterworfen, und zwar mit Hilfe einer Keilhülse zwischen dem Walzring und der im Bereich des Walzringes konischen Walzenwelle. Durch eine solche Konstruktion wird zwar eine sichere Drehmitnahme des Walzringes durch eine Formschlußverbindung erreicht, doch ist hiefür eine be­sondere Ausgestaltung des Walzringes erforderlich, was als erheblicher Nachteil angesehen werden muß, weil der Walzring einen Verschleißteil darstellt und aufgrund seines Hartme­tallwerkstoffes einer besonderen Bearbeitung bedarf. Dazu kommt noch, daß durch zusätzliche Nuten oder Verzahnungen die Bruchanfälligkeit des Hartmetall-Walzringes vergrößert wird.To avoid these disadvantages, a device has become known (US Pat. Voraussetzung hiefür ist allerdings, daß der über den Reibring auf den Walzring ein­wirkende Druckring drehfest mit der Walzenwelle verbunden ist, was in vorteilhafter Weise durch eine Vielnutverbin­dung sichergestellt werden kann. Dabei ist es für die Funktion der Vorrichtung unerheblich, ob die Keilhülse, die zum bes­seren Aufspreizen geschlitzt ausgeführt werden soll, selbst aus einem Reibwerkstoff besteht oder einen geeigneten Reib­belag trägt. Um bei einer zulässigen größten axialen Vorspannung des Walzringes 3 zwischen den beiden Druckringen 11 und 12 eine sichere Drehmitnahme zu erhalten, ist zwischen dem Druck­ring 12 und dem Walzring 3 ein Reibring 24 vorgesehen, der bei einem entsprechenden axialen Anpreßdruck für den ge­wünschten Kraftschluß zwischen dem Druckring 12 und dem Walzring 3 sorgt. Voraussetzung für die gewünschte Dreh­momentübertragung ist jedoch, daß zwischen dem Druckring 12 und dem Ende 2 der Walzenwelle 1 eine drehfeste Verbindung herrscht. Vorrichtung zum Befestigen eines Walzringes auf dem frei vorragenden Ende einer fliegend gelagerten Walzenwelle, bestehend aus zwei den Walzring zwischen sich axial einspan­nenden Druckringen, von denen einer an der Walzenwelle und der andere an einer Spanneinrichtung axial abgestützt sind, und aus einer mittels eines Stelltriebes axial verschieb­baren Keilhülse zwischen dem Walzring und der im Bereich des Walzringes konischen Walzenwelle, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwischen dem Walzring (3) und wenigstens einem der bei­den Druckringe (11, 12) ein Reibring (24) vorgesehen ist und daß der reibringseitige Druckring (12) auf der Walzenwelle (1) vorzugsweise über eine Vielnutverbindung (25) drehfest sitzt.1.
